How come it a mistake, when making Sinhala language as state language of Sri Lanka in 1956 when majotrity 78% sinhalase and no objection for English which was spoken by less than5%? dont play wrong politics lead to ethnic tension.

The Tamils have lived in SL, in the north and east, for hundreds hundreds of years. There were 3 kingdoms in Sri Lanka prior to colonialism. Two Sinhalese kingdoms and one Tamil kingdom (covering the North and East). The Portugese ruled the Sinhalese nation and Tamil nation separately.
