Does Burial sound like the rest of dubstep? Most of his tunes, no. But dubstep came from a desire to darken the 2-step sound as well as mixing it up with a dub aesthetic. If that isn't exactly what Burial does in pretty much every fucking one of his tunes... Burial is dubstep, and not - depending on how you look at it. He is definitively more dubstep than most of the newer producers, who's music have nothing to do with neither garage nor dub, but is just halftime eurodance with a dnb snarl.

Howcome every time i click on a Burial song, all i see is deep conversations about what dubstep really is and who's good and who aint? I listen to Skrillex, 16 bit, borgore, flux pavilion, and Butch Clancy, and they are all considered dubstep, but each has his own style. I like Burial too, but from what I've been taught dubstep is, this isn't, this to me would be an atmospheric electronic, how bout electrosphere? the dude's awesome.
