  • The VL is an Aussie chassy. BUT thanks to the jap engineering of the RB30 which is placed in there... It's able to keep up with the other jap imports ;)

  • half the fun of drifting is somehow getting a bit of damage to fix.

  • hahaha look at how much body roll there is with that vl

  • Holden has a Nissan heart

  • The car is a Sileighty. An S13 180SX with an S13 Silvia front. It's a common sight in the world of drifting, and looks great.

  • cool

  • why aren't any of these guys wearing helmets?

  • 2:53 welded diff

  • hhahaah i fkn loled when he said cheap parts.......

  • uk is the least car friendly country in the world!

  • what is the first car drifting??

  • Blacckchrome drives a honda integra haha thumbs up

  • what is the model (year model) of that black s13 at 1:42?

  • these are are not to great compare do the car were i live

    but there are still allright

  • you guys are fuckin noobs its a sil80 - -" well besides castro.

  • when will you make the how to drift special haha

  • fully sik VL yuleh!

  • nice surface to drift a car on, that concrete. might be a bit dusty as well, probably hot too, i'm guessing.

  • you guys really need to make a dvd or something that would be awsome

  • everyone has a 240 lul

  • the car at 0:49 is a sileighty, sileighty's are 180sx bodies (aka s13 hatch) that have been given s13 silvia front ends. NOT s14 front ends, NOT to save weight. its pure aesthetics. this is where it gets its name, sil = silvia, eighty = 180sx.

btw s14 parts are NOT lighter. for the most part that is =P

  • @damianoTM I've seen someone use the front end of an S15 for the front of a Sileighty. Weird!

  • @damianoTM Isn't it cause they are more cost effective instead of having the pop up lights?

  • @damianoTM actually s13 part are cheaper than 180sx parts, so if you crash during drift its cheaper to fix. thats how it started.

  • @damianoTM seeing as how you know some good facts about this car, I was wondering if you could tell me some more info on the car?

    Is the engine any different?

Can you simply D.I.Y to change the front end? Hence is that all they did to it? just swap the front?

Would it cost more than a regular 180sx? Why is it that the 180sx is sometimes called a 200sx, or is it a 240sx? and why isn't there a 220.5sx? lol BTW yes I know there is google, but prefer someone's personal words to answer this.

  • @mydogzty because i like to eat babies. and for no other reason

  • @mydogzty so yes, the engines are different. to change the front end, no replacement of engine is needed. it can be easily done out of your garage. yes, that is all they do to get that look; change the front end. replace the hood, lights, front fenders, front bumper, and some basic brackets. any other questions? feel free to message me!

  • @000ADRush just saw this now

Sounds like a great D.I.Y mod that mightcarmods could do to show us if its simply changing a few ummmm body parts but how much though?

Well honestly I have many questions. I've got a passion for cars but fairly inexperience with the piratical work. But I know my stuff through hours of video-games, and youtube videos and reasearch. And thanks to nice people like yourself, I've learn't much over the year by asking questions on youtube hahah Thanks again!

  • @mydogzty learn your chassis codes, that sileighty is an S13, just with sedan front end instead of hatch

  • @mydogzty 180sx, 200sx, 240sx are all sold in different parts of the world. 240sx is specificly in the untied states, the other two are sold throughout europe, asia, and australia. they have different engines.180sx- 1.8 liter turbo called CA18DET. the 200sx-2.0 liter turbo called SR20DET. the 240sx -2.4 liter non-tubo called KA24DE. they are all part of the S-Chasis. there is no 220.5sx because nissan never manufactured a 2.205 liter engine ahah!

  • @000ADRush Awesome! Finally I can tell the difference! Just asking your permission if I can copy what you said in a word document, so I can have those very handy details on this car thats been confusing me for quite some time. So is it cool with you?

Pretty much different engines in every model but the chassis stays the same........sweet thank you so much! :)

Oh and the CA18DET is well crap compared to a SR20 yes? And whats good about the KA24DE? never herd of that engine.....

  • @mydogzty go ahead and copy it lol, idc. $-wise all depends and how well youd like to do it. if you want a nice, nonshitty front end i bet it could be up to 1.5 grand. but if you go order your front end parts off ebay i bet you could do it for 500. as for the CA18 being worse than the SR20, its all in opinion. i live in the US. the KA24 comes in all of our 240s. (no 200sx or 180sx) people swap SR20s into thier 240sxs ALL THE TIME. if yoy see a 240 in the states, theres like a 50% it will have a

  • @mydogzty SR20 in it. parts are common and cheap here. The KA24 is underpowered from the factory compared to the other 2. the other 2 are turbod. thats why. but when turbod it is just as capable of power as the other 2 just with some more torque. the CA18 is very underrated. very high revving little spitfuck of a motor. i love the thing. i wanna put one in a 240sx. its all in opinion. i would never call one better than the other. but there are people that will (just a heads up) biased fuckerslol

  • @000ADRush I've copied all our comments to word document, thank you :)

Front end is engine right? Well I want a bit of power no more than 320hp for everyday street use. I'd definetly go air filter and heads and exhaust to free some horsepower. If I went higher I'd have fun with it like drift and drags here and there, then sell and look for another project car to work on and drive. Or who knows keep it for a rainy day ( LOL because its cheaper to your tyres drifting in the rain HA!)

  • @mydogzty when i mentioned prices, i was reffering to U.S. dollars btw. just a heads up lol

  • @000ADRush If your going to swap out your KA24....why not go RB25 or a JZ2? I've learnt a 2JZ can hold more power on stock internals (what are they lol) and are stronger engines to a RB. RB engines make great power and are Nissan engines. But yes it depends how much money you want to put in it and well apparently to pay the engineer to make it street legal for a engine swap is really pricy.

  • @mydogzty JZs and RBs are expensive. damn great engines but expensive. only RB i could afford is an RB20 lol. stock internals are the stock pistons, crank, block and all the basic parts of the motor. if you want lots of HP, usually you replaced them with forged parts. just reenforce everything.

  • @000ADRush My dads old best mate is a car enthusiast. He told me you could pick a used RB25 from a junkyard for under $3000 Australian and get it all forged. But funny thing is I didn't ask him what a forge is. Whats a forge?

  • @mydogzty get it all "forged" ? its the same thing as i said earlier. its just the verb form; get stronger pistons, crank, bottom half of block, blah blah. its just getting stronger parts.

  • @000ADRush I'd want my parts from HKS GREEDY Garret and Nismo. But bet thats way expensive yea? For a 180sx and skyline.

  • sileighty's are 180sx bodies (aka s13 hatch) that have been given s13 silvia front ends. NOT s14 front ends, NOT to save weight. its pure aesthetics.

s14 parts are NOT lighter. for the most part that is =P

  • @damianoTM hmmmm ok then thanks for the reply.

  • yesss vl commodore for the winnn

  • No Officer, That was a locker at 2:50

  • 180's everywhere!!!!!

    Loving it!

  • In America we dont have pieces of tarmac/cement whatever you want to call it, we simply get in trouble or worst case scenario arrested.

  • 3:34-3:50

dont mean to be rude but i call bullshit i call bullshit.

    damn aussies lol

  • do you have to have your full licence to take part in the project d school ?

  • the s13 is so fucking hot

  • what the fuck project.D. these dudes watched initial d too often !

  • what was the car @ 1:57

  • Is that red car @0:49 a Sil-Eighty S13 front with 240sx rear

  • project d?? does that have anything to do with initial D ...Project D was the new name for Initial D or something like that

  • Is Nissan on 0:49 is a 2xx s13 or otner one cuz the front light are wierd :<

  • @sosik1990 That's a 180SX with a Silvia front-clip. AKA: Sil80.

  • @sosik1990

    called Sil80

    PS13 front and 180sx rear aka KS13

  • @sosik1990 s13 front end conversion.

  • @sosik1990

Do you mean the red car? It's a 180sx with a s13 front on it.

The white one after it, is another 180sx with the lazy eye mod done to the lights, so the lights don't have to be fully open or closed they can be whatever level you want.

  • @sosik1990 180sx with s13 front end. sileighty

  • @sosik1990 well... it is an s13 known in US as 240sx or 180sx in other regions but it has a common mod to it.... its now called the "SilEighty" (cool name) because the front bumper, hood and lights are swaped from the later model s14... that is done to shave off some weight *the s14's parts weight less then the s13* and to make it cool and unique.. the name comes from the sil of the silvia (s14) and eighty from the 180(duh)sx.... =SilEighty.... google it... its all there :)

  • @Nicksandalis

It's not from an S14 it's from the S13. 180sx(s13) with Silvia(ps13) front on it.

  • @Kysipe hmm.... yeah... you gotta be right... i was a bit fusy of those two types of s13's... thats for clearing that out for me :)... damnit... what a fail on that comment... i'll be careful here-on... cheers mate

  • @Nicksandalis thanks for clearing that out for me*

  • @sosik1990 It has the japanese model front head lights. People do those all the time! Except I put s15 front headlights on mine. Kouiki.

  • @sosik1990 2xx and s15 hybrid. Sileighty. :D

  • @sosik1990

    It's a 'Sileighty', it's a version that has a Silvia front and a 180SX rear.

  • Comment removed

  • @sosik1990 nah its a sil80 (silvia front 180sx rear)

  • @sosik1990 its a sileighty :)

  • @sosik1990 its a 240sx s13.4

  • @sosik1990 its s13 onevia few dif names for it just a 200sx or 180sx with a s13 silvia front on it.

  • @BTFOPIG its Sileighty (front from Silvia S13 base 180SX S13). Onevia is when someone put front 180SX on Silvia. Sil(via)(one)Eighty, One(eighty)(sil)Via.

  • @sosik1990 its a japanese 180sx with the s13 silvia front end. the car is also known as a sileighty

  • @sosik1990 Sileighty, done by attaching a S13 front to the 180sx as the pop up headlights are not preferred.

  • @sosik1990 its a sileighty

  • @sosik1990 S13

  • @sosik1990 Its got a front end conversion from either a s14 or an s15 or maybe even a skyline

  • @sosik1990 its the front of a s13 and back of a 240sx

the drifters in japan built them liek that then nissan saw it and made their on

  • @sosik1990 its a 180sx with a front light conversion

  • @sosik1990 theyre called sileighty. Front is from silvia because lights are lighter than the original ones.

  • @sosik1990 the 240 at 0:49 is a s13 with the s13 silvia front

  • @sosik1990 i though it was a Sil-80 = (

  • @sosik1990 its a silvia s13, the front end is the japanese version

  • @kebonebone Lol, if you don't know the answer, don't make one up... Its a Sil80, S13 front with 180SX rear-end...

  • @sosik1990

    it is a sileighty

  • @sosik1990

it looked like s13 to mee

  • @sosik1990 s13. just got a different front end on it.

  • @sosik1990 its a sileighty

  • @sosik1990

    its called a sil80 . s13 front end on a 180sx body ...

  • @sosik1990 its a Sil80

  • @sosik1990 think its a silvia

  • @sosik1990 it was a 240sx with silvia lights

  • @sosik1990

    it's a strawberry 180sx or a sil80. Bascially it's where you put a silvia front end on a 180. I think that has a 200sx front, although I could be wrong.

  • @itsthejezz For the S13 model the 200SX and 'silvia' is essentially the same thing. The coupe was named the Silvia and the fastback is 180SX/240SX depending on which country you live in.

  • @sosik1990 i think its a sil80

  • @sosik1990 s13 light conversion

  • @sosik1990 Yeah also know as a Silaty (cross between s13 and 180sx)

  • @thatGUYfromSKWL At least spell it right

    its a Sileighty

  • @Nuzoh Sozage

  • i love how they use stock rims on the rear! SO COOL!

  • @her31am Probably because they keep their showy wheels for daily driving, and thus have average tires on those, while they throw on sports-oriented tires on the stocks for weekend fun ;)

  • where are u guys from? and i love the show

the trd laser did amaze me XD hahaha props man

  • HACHI RUKI !! :)

    i think thats rite haha.. AE86 ?

  • Roku*

  • what type of volvo is that first car

  • Sooo many nissans soo little time.

  • toyota's are the cheapest cars to modify.

an ae86 takes a Blacktop 20valve straight away.

  • @tyu198 its cheaper to modify and easier to get a hold of nissan silvias and or 180sx's then any rear wheel drive toyota only one i can think of that would be cheap is an old ke70 corolla from way back when...

  • Nice! You guys should also do a track day special!

  • I dont mean to be out of offense but why would u guys all have 180SX? from my perspective i think they are shitty cars where are the RX-7 FD they are the drift cars

  • S13 is cheaper, cheaper mods and actually really good balanced car for drift.

  • @BIoodshead mate drifitings the kinda sport if u stuff up ur car pays the price and who would ever want to hurt such a beautiful car as the rx7 aka FD. :D

  • jeez, sorry my little joke comment wasn't that funny to you, and you just had to take the typical youtube respones which just ends up being some bullshit, thanks again anyway.

  • I wonder what model the Corolla was? would be really interesting to know

  • ae71 corolla and it sounds like its has a 4age conversion, easiest car to slide

  • the hatchback one? its at ae86 or aka tureno in japan but anywhere else corolla

  • lol tureno? you mean trueno and they're not all trueno's only the top of the range.

  • @skitzonee21

a simple type-o and you already crucify a guy

    like you've never had a type-o

  • @cutenukkah I mean trueno gt apex. Is a lot higher spec then any ae86 corolla elsewhere in the world.

  • my 99 wrx drifted sweet, but thats cuz i have a locked center diff lol

  • when the all met up i bet the main guy who had organised this meet went, "did anybody here today NOT bring a 180sx?"

  • if u pay a lil more attention theres actually silvias r32s

  • 1:54 hahaha fail

  • gotta luv the old school keto rollas representin'

  • lov d show guys but that was very begginer stuff . in ireland d grassroots ae86 stuff is so much better , ditch d highways and build a few more twisty mountain passes . good work tho

  • s13!!!!!!

  • should have got the TRD laser out there :)

  • @theunexplanatory hah this wasy before the TRD lazer's days.

  • @theunexplanatory dude they're not weird. those are silvia brick lights. It's a whole new front from the coupe.

  • i try to do this is my rex lolz. its not easy

  • @uNf0rGiViNg get a rear wheel drve car rexy's dont drift... get an s13 thats wot i drive

  • mean red sil-eighty

  • 24sx hell yeah!

  • I LOVED the Japan episode can't wait to see more from this showed I just got hooked a few hours ago!

  • rb30det. nissan was going to use the rb30det in the vn commodore but budgets wouldn't allowed so went back to buicks.

  • didnt know that

  • @hofmannsapprentice Sort of a bugger they didnt... theyre an easy as engine to turbo and everything else lol. Spare parts can be found in skylines and petrol patrols soo theyre a great engine.

  • maybe, maybe not. the buick 3800 is renowned for not breaking, and it's got bigger injectors and fuel rails than your stock nissan engines just... poorer design. i have a low comp buick 3800 s/c waiting to be bolted on outside but it's not for drifting.

  • Ywah good point... ive seen some real nice ones though and have heard nothin but good things about em, they can make considerable amounts of power with little more then a few bolt-on extras and because theyre well known for not breaking usualy handle larger amounts of boost with stock internals then alot of other engines do. A mate of mine one in his VL, it goes hard and all its got is a centrifugal charger on it (continued)

  • soon it will be goin in for a full rebuild and copping a new twin turbo set-up to try and gettin makin some serious power, while the engines out hes turning it into AWD aswell with the use of an R32 skyline front end (diff and all the other needed bits) then he wants to through a VL calais front end on it, air ride suspesion, paint... and hopefuly turn it into an absolute street weapon.

  • mad dwag. i've got two vg30dett's for serious power ; )

  • @muscat0 DICK!!

  • go vl commodore thats what i got lol

  • why are 180sx's soo good for drifting

  • RWD. LSD. Turbocharged. And handle like a gokart.

  • cheap, good engine easy to find parts etc.

  • coz there light body weight n so r s13's

  • what the metal brace they have on over the engine ?

  • this is fixed to the body , it reduse the body twist

a rice must have , thats why the new hndas have one stock :P

  • Called a 'strut brace'. It just goes from the top of one strut tower to the other and stops them flexing as the suspension is loaded up and the car is thrown around. Sometimes they just reach from one tower to the firewall and there are two of them. Bolted on or welded, factory or aftermarket, all there for the same reason :)

  • naten2645 - they are not gay. marty rooted my sister. please watch the video on my page for details and rate and comment. i hope they don't root your sister too.

  • jesus, what happened to men being men, gayest thing ive seen in ages. Its isnt cool or talented its powersliding two corners ffs learn to drive for real

  • naten2645 - Your comment "what happened to men being men gayest thing I've seen in ages". Are you saying that for men to be men they must be gay? Because I am a man, but I am not gay? So how do you reason that men must be gay to be men? And when you say "Learn to drive for real" I assume you mean drive into another mans bottom with your penis?

  • naten2645 has asked us to learn to drive for real. Apparently drifting is not driving for real. it is pretend driving that we do in our dreams. in fact any drifting anyone here has ever seen must have been an hallucination because it can't have been real. With naten being such an expert in driving he is kingly going to make some videos to teach us all how to drive. I can't wait to be 'real' man. You have one week Naten. Teach us all how to drive. Can't wait for the video.

  • have you ever tried drfting?

its ALOT harder than it looks

but since you have so much driving skill

    lets see some videos!

  • This is NOT drifting! ffs people its powersliding, power slide heaps, but no i dont drift as i dont not wish to have aids.

  • your fucking stupid.

    end of story

    and you DO have aids

  • there were alot of 180sx'es there thats tight, the project d one looked like it has a sr20 engine . very nice. wheres the supras =p

  • man i so miss my white nx pulsar , it had a sr20de

  • not quite the same engine lol. a lot diffrent. just same name

  • hay still watchen your vids is there any spiceal tyers do you need for drifting

  • no. the cheaper the better. you go through them like hotcakes. especially with camber

  • NICE@ LIKED THE JAP CARS

  • Please make a how to drift episode!

  • So whens the how to drift coming bro?

  • is there any proper s15's out there???

  • yeah mean i wish i saw some. i love s15's

  • Does mighty car mods think they could teach me to do that? =D It can go 0-60 in about 8.5 sec xD I lied , its not completely stock, it has a K&N air filter in the stock air intake box. the 96 jxi sebring does not have any cold air intake filters around the world that are good. There is Chrome intakes, but they are a bit cheesy.

  • I wanna drift my Front wheel drive, automatic, completely stock 96 sebring jxi =D

  • get some meal trays from mcdonolds and place them under your car, lock up your ebrake and drive, ur car will go side ways like nothing. eventually the trays wear out so grab a couple or make some custom ones out of sheet metal or somthin so u dont get fat from goin to mcdonald s too much:P

  • Lol, I would do that if my e break worked =)

  • lol u can flip your car like that :D

  • dats the easyest was 2 diff a fwd haha its a good laugh..

  • Haha you fuckin' ricer.

  • haha dumb fat american

  • gawd the 240's are hawt
