okay which class is going to be a healer, a guardian? And you cannot compare between GW2 and WOW, because GW2 does not have monthly pay but wow has. In other words, the GW2 game producers cannot use feedbacks from players and upgrade the game constantly. For sure, the Blizzard is out of ideas for WOW and just starts adding some stupid ideas like pet battle system and a race which can choose a faction.

@Nicro327 Actually if you watched the Demo's you would see that the thief's Aura is Grey in the charter select screen, maybe a tint of Maroon. Also i seriously doubt it will be Mesmer, due to the fact that there are already 4 professions from the original GW in GW2 and 3 New Professions, therefore it will most likely be something New, maybe a new kind of Light-Armor Dervish? Holy warrior of the gods fits, no? The guardian does not count because it uses Virtues, not Godly Divine Power.

@neodavid62 it was the mesmer it's been leaked and they said a long time ago that there would be 5 classes from the original game and that the last class to be revealed would be a caster so there were no other options than the mesmer cuz they said that there would be no monk class.. and about that holy warrior idea of yours, yes the guardian counts it's the same thing than adding a ranger and a hunter or an elementalist and a mage..

@jaaki94 Maybe im just a bit Prejudiced against mesmers for GW1, because they were so unbalanced any time i saw one i knew i was doomed in PvP. They took the fun out of PvPing for me. But i don't think it will be a Mesmer, i never heard of any leak. And when did they say that? i have been watching the blog forever. It could be Ritualist? Who Knows other then Anet? And dont start on the "Ritualists are canthan, so they wont be there" Maybe someone pulled a Keiran and changed classes?

@ariios1 Has to be. Unless Anet lied to us to distract us, It's already been said that it s a cloth class, it's going to return from the original GW1, and it's not going to be the monk. The only possible option is the mesmer. Also the mesmer is GW's most original class. there is nothing really like it in any other mmo I've ever played. For them not to keep it would be silly, and I think the only reason why they haven't released it sooner is because they are trying to make it fit to gw2 rules.

But even if they did, the ritualist, assassin, dervish, and paragon wouldn't work because either they already used some of these class ideas in the engineer, theif, and guardian. Only one that really stands out of the four would be the dervish but it's a leather armor class, purely a human class because of the gods, and there are no scythes in gw2 which is it's main weapon. So it has to be a mesmer at least in class type.

I don't know if WoW will die straight after GW2 comes out, but Pandaland and things like that are definitely not helping. I used to play WoW, and I personally loved it, but I really think that GW2 has potential to completely surpass WoW. I just hope that it isn't too good to be true.

I agree with @ComboMoose . You have to appreciate the game for what it is. If you keep on comparing it you will be biased in your opinions of the game. So take it as it is. Guild Wars is a great game in my opinion. It may not have as much impact as it did like World of Warcraft but all in all, Guild Wars 2 will prevail as a great game all round, because it won several awards before the actual game will come out.

I think people should stop comparing Guild Wars 2 to WoW. Guild Wars 2 is it's own game in it's own way, it doesn't relate to WoW in pretty much anyway except for the fact that they're both hotkey MMOs. The "Classes" are all different, the races are different and the whole gameplay is mostly different.

Also I think that even though WoW is a great game and all, it's time for it to step aside and let the new generation of MMOs take over. It happens to everything at somepoint, now is WoWs time.

From what I gather, as of today, the final profession hasn't been announced yet but is said to fulfill the expectations of mesmer fans. Supposedly though it will be a returning class from guild wars 1 so it's possible. Also, where did you get the picture in the video? That is the photo from the GW 2 site on the professions page, but the final profession is still a smokey character so we can't tell what it looks like yet. I'm guessing you photoshopped the mesmer image in there.

the thief is one of the GW 2 classes but it has nothing to do with the rogue class.

also the Sylvari race might look like elfs to some ppl but the developers have stated they are an entire new breed and if you take a closer look you notice they are nothing like elfs at all...
