And the pianist is not playing the phrasing or rhythmic stress correctly at all, however, the singers tone was pretty solid throughout. I would suggest better phrasing for the singer as well, but it would be hard to do in conjunction with this pianist.

It sounds like the 'ch' in "nicht" sounds like 'sh' as in "nisht". That's not how it is supposed to be pronounced.

Maria Callas was enormous till middle age. She lost 48 kg age 33. She was big like an elefant. There are not many pictures available of her in the period she was fat. Maybe her voice suffered after that severe wheight loss!

There´s a voice, of course. About his being overwheight, does any of you guys have ever heard of Montserrat Caballé, Maria Callas (young), Renata Tebaldi (young, Pavarotti and so on. All whales. Who cares? He should work hard on legatto and voice equalization. Beautiful sound. Congratulations. This song is not that fast, though.
