  • beautiful but solo voice is awful :/

  • @lomanx2 its good, its just she sounds more like a girl than a mature woman

  • @lomanx2 she just has a really odd voice! but she sings well, you have to admit! it's in tune, at least!

  • I keep coming back to this performance -

Great job of the choral portato - this is an extremely difficult thing to do -

    You have done it well.

    Good job Soprano.

Don't you just love this song people???

  • @fgbowen and how could you not love this song.........Stanford is mostly forgotten today except by Anglican Choirs for whom his services and canticles are an indispensable part of their repertoire. The Blue Bird is perhaps his most performed secular work. If you like this then I urge you to seek out his orchestral works some posted here on You Tube.

  • nice -

    moving.

All do well - but basses are doing a great job of supporting the piece.

    Musically.

But again - ALL are doing well.

    Moving.

  • This piece really is stunning. I never get tired of hearing it.

  • Wonderully expressive singing of this gem of the choral repertoire. The soprano soloist's last note was just magical. I say this as a choral conductor of 40 years with a lot of experience on the competition circuit in my homeland and abroad. Congratulations, and thanks for a truly great performance.

  • I note that the piece is being sung a semi-tone higher than written. That means the already high tessitura for the solo is even more impressive.

  • gorgeous!
