I'm looking into the es1 and like it, but i've been trying to figure out - can you load a single sample of let's say C and have a scale made of it - c#,d,d#, e, f, etc.? Something like the multi-pitch function in the SP1200. Or do you have to resample each sample into the respective tones of the scale and write it so you can record some melodies in real time?
@martin984 well you actually can, but i assure you it's a quite tedious way to use this machine as a melodic sequencer since the pitch knob it's not precise when it comes to tune a sample... but you can assign a MIDI note to each of the 11 parts (9 sample parts plus one audio in and one "time slice" part) and set the various steps to drive an external sound module that will play the desired notes :)
This is exellent!!! Sound great. I just got one of these the other day and its really cool, but loading the smart card to get samples on has got me stumped, so i've just been recording em straight in
@wolveshawksandkites: i can give you some tricks and tips if you need some.. i.e. some ways to load samples from pc and convert them the right way to save a lot of memory

That would be very helpful! I have no idea how to use this wonderful box, but I'm eager to learn!
