at least they were smart enough to get one, but to be honest he was hte one to take out a loan or borrow more moey that he has to give back and even thought he would have the money before the father even return with the news of the money or lack of.

thanks for posting this movie. I have not seen it since high school. We use to watch them on Ch 11 in Chicago. Back in the day when they would show good movies on that channel. This and "Orphee" are the best to me of Jean Cocteau.

It's such a great thing, though, that Beauty treats him with kindness, almost like a mother figure.. especially when he's at the door after killing.

She doesn't seem kind, more disgusted, angry and horrified. She throws something to him and tells him to clean himself up, but in a disgusted way. She is very confident in her power over him.
