I would like to respond to former comments about being put into a camp like this. Before the age of 15, I was locked up 18x in 5 different correctional facilities. I was never once incarcerated for breaking the law. I was locked up for simply pissing off my father. He took advantage of the system and really fucked up my teenage years. Jackbelias, I would like to assure you that I was put away on many occasions for simply arguing. The system is majorly flawed. It breeds resentment.

Its as silly as saying "This man died from bleeding, not a gunshot wound" or "The fall didnt kill him, it was hitting the ground."

I worked youth corrections out west and I can honestly say that pampering them was not the way to go. So many of you cry for criminals and beg that they be treated like victims. The vast majority go to boot camps as an alternative sentence for prison. They tend to commit auto theft, assault, gang related activity, etc...
Sometimes parents can send ungovernable youth to such places, but that follows total failure in a CINS/FINS prevention facility plus outreach. You dont go there for an F or even an arguement.
You are projecting your own emotional conflicts into this. These emotions of yours are out of control, they make you weak.

Anyway I admit sometimes youth do commit crimes but some people there are there only for crappy things like denying to accept their father gets them a stepmother or their mother marry again and get a stepfather, I may ask you what would parents do in this place? would they think "well I deserved it cause I had a bad relationship with my son" NOT AT ALL THEY WOULD CRY AND ASK FOR MERCY! like their children that are sent there for crappy reasons, what would you do there?

As a former SDI I had more than my share of problem prives. But never were they to be abused or struck! I blame the movies for glorifying the sadistic DI. I did not have a sadistic DI when I went through recruit training back in 1968 and neither I nor my junior hats were sadistic. We respected each prive... the good prives & the problem prives. Come now we all know what really goes on at the island. You can fall downn and hurt yourself in a dark broom closet. You can walk into the front sight post of your rifle by accident. I remember doing pushups in an ant nest. People get hurt in intense environments meant to force structure and good order. You could have told us DIs never use any foul language while you were at it.

i was in bcrjdc (bay county regional junvinille detention center when this happened...are yards are seperated by one fence we saw it all happen what they dont show on video is that they held his mouth closed and shoved amonia capsules in his nose while the nurse watched and did nothing..oh and btw the nurse you see in this video..wasnt even a certified nurse

The tape was twenty minutes long, and he was moving most of that time. Most people will become unconscious after a few minutes iwthout oxygen. So obviously he was getting air.

I went to the trial, i sat behind his parents, I marched in Panama City and I even went to the boot camp and talked to one of the other guards and even HE said that his co-workers were in the wrong so what the hell gives you the right to go against someone who was there?!?!
