ok inshallah i will, but I've read the Shi'a explanation before, and coming from a Roman Catholic background, its the same explanation the priest gave me when I asked him why we call upon people other than God, and I'm not buying the explanation cuz I already know it.

surely he didnt provide with quotes from the quran, frm what i remember there are somehting like 10 ayahs mentioning the topic (roughly) most are refuting it others support the idea and the shia distinction is to show that those ayahs refuting it are in reference to polytheists and their idols amongst other things, if u go into the lecture should all be there
