Tank runs out of fuel then you have to factor in bringing in supplys for the tanks fuel and ammo which means you need to hold a much larger area to supply the tanks for combat that drains man power resources and most of the planets they fight on is cliff terrain tanks cant really climb cliffs and the hills would block the fireing line for the tanks tank useless
