Dude, they use an old Phillip CRT and a Dell CPU....and look at their shoes..I mean the flow. Does the people know what they are suppose to do if they are newbies? no division of labor, obviously. Freaking all over the place, sons of anarchy...
It's impressive to see such large items being assembled on a moving line. the Kitting and Supplies for each job are well done!. Looking at the large stores, and some of the assembly going on though it looks like there's plenty of low hanging fruit yet to grab..
Interesting article. If you ever visit the plants in Renton or Everett, you'll see that the AMTs and Inspectors all take their stamps seriously. They take a lot of pride in their work. I can't speak for the culture at Boeing 8-10 years ago, but from what I've seen in the last few years, these people are truly professional in their duties.

Forgot to bolt on a screw or nut is one of a major problem with large complex products such as these.
