@neverstopmotion that is because they are being affected by the redstone. try moving the redstone 1 block away from it.

@MessiahComing I'd rate it at about a B+. Needs a way to be practical for buildings; as is, there's a high change you'll get crushed while getting in or out of the elevator. A lever would work. :/

@DarkSemptess This type of elevator is in use in real life, which is a great way of pointing out its practicallity. It's called a rosary elevator, as it goes around like rosary beads. You can find them most commonly in England. And yes, there is the possibility of being crushed. But there's a lot worse things in the game.

@iTrickScopes Basically, its a block that you can stand in, but the piston will still push. You COULD fill the entire thing with sandstone, but then you couldnt stand in it. Theoretically you could also put a door or a sign right there, but those things break as soon as a piston hits it. A Fence Gate will not break, and will be pushed instead. Hope that helped.

This works well with trapdoors, as well, so long as you have a wall for them to stay attached to, they can be pushed by pistons in the same manner and they look nicer than the gates.

@02000nerfboy Its well simple, I just did it in like 2 seconds afterwards,

a simple redstone loop, combine that with a circle of pistons, time it with one relay so that the up and down piston shoot before the reload (side) piston shoot.

Simple, compact, reliable, doesn't look TOO complicated to make, unlike the whole superfast elevator where it has ROWS of Redstone behind it... very nice! Might make one, if I find some kind of thing to use it with. Maybe try using 3 Fence Gates instead of 2, give you a little more leeway with getting aboard?
