  • she handles her shit!!!! yessss!!

  • Now thats how you do a media junkit ...monique is pure elegance..

  • she owns her sh*t, I love her

  • I think Sidney had a perfectly reasonable explanation. Go Mo'Nique!

  • @free2drm: u r 1 dumb s. O. B! Y bother looking@ all her video just 2 make negative comme... u ASS!!!

    LUV U MO'

  • @hetheru She was playing a role of a real story,it has nothing 2 do with race.If it was a white person or etc it would still be the same.If u watch her interview on Ellen,u would knw she was sexually abused by her own brother. She was playing the role of a monster,LIKE HER BROTHER.Please learn the whole story, its not associated wit RACE!

  • That is one ugly & fat she-boon! LOL!

  • @free2drm you need a mirror...

  • @PlainTruth08 Just sayin'. it is what it is.

  • i love her tell them who what when and how deal with it lol

  • Mo 'Nique modern day Aunt Jeminia. You should be ashame of yourself to be in a disgusting movie like Precious. I know you say you're satified. I bet you laugh all the way to the bank, but what about the future generations of Black/African grls who look and view that shit fuckin' movie Precious. Please stop selling your people, race, ethinic group, tribe, history/herstory out for a few coins. You and your kind the black comedians who demean the African peoples are f** shit! You will get it

  • @hetheru what i'm about to say has nothing to do with monique as a comedian, because i haven't seen much of her comedy. THIS MOVIE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE. This type of abuse can come from parent to any child, no matter what their ethnic background. This movie isn't focused on the fact that all the problems are around a BLACK family, it's focused on an abusive household. Race has nothing to do with abuse, which is the TRUE meaning of the film.

  • @fhorntrumpetdud Thank you. I agree. And i'm African american.

  • @hetheru wtf r u talkin bout?! she was just portraying a woman who was abusive, and that doesnt have anything to do with race and im black

  • i am happy for her and that her dress was down to ground lol

  • She is a REAL Women. I need one like her in my life!!!!

  • I love Monique, she is....ugh...sooooooo.....real!

  • Soak up the limelight baby! You deserve it! Mo'Nique is all kinds of beautiful!

  • I love MoNique because she is not afraid to speak her mind nor is she afraid to stand up to the racist white media! Go MoNique! You go girl! Congrats on winning the Oscar!

  • Legendary response by her husband.

  • I enjoyed watching "The Parkers" a few years back. I especially liked her "I'm large, beautiful, and all woman" attitude. I'm still a fan, However with no disrespect intended towards Mo'Nique, her CONSTANT YELLING every 5 to15 seconds on many of her shows is so downright annoying, unpleasant, and unprofessional. Other show hosts do it, but not to the extreme Mo'Nique takes it to. Yes, I know we can change the channel, which sadly, is what I do now.

  • I Can Feel Mo'nique And Sidney's Conection!.. He's Her Business partner. I Like that.! Damn I Want a Conection Like That With My Wife Too!.

  • I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!!!!!!!

  • Monique looks so pretty. I love that dress.

  • monique is a bad muthafucka.. her husband butts in cause they are clearly a team. did she not say "business partener"??

  • I wonder how many of the people wondering about HER marriage is actually married.. its always funny to me how people single people have such strong opinions about marriage

  • I LOVE YOU MO ....you rso real never change

  • i hate this bitch and her movies suck dick

  • Oh gosh being in the spot light is so overwhelming i like my normal life

Monique is a true person like her straight forwardness

    She has always been real

  • i love mo'nique. i just wish the video quality would've been better.

  • My admiration for this woman just increased 10 times over (as if that's possible). She is the epitome of what a strong black woman should be!

  • @trinni161276 Thank you for saying that because everyone else wants to label her as a "Rough Black Bitch" who is ignorant for being a strong woman she is everything that it takes to be a "Strong Black Woman" and she deserves everything good that she gets in the years to come not only from Precious but in all projects she takes on she's a true REAL rolemodel!

  • @SexyLiLLeilaniMya Thank you sweetie. I'm impressed by the way she has grown despite her molestation issues as a child. People with those issues usually waddle in anger and hurt till they self destruct. She simply took the pain and turned it into something positive. More power to her! And you're right...she IS a true role model!

  • She's about as likeable in person as she is in Precious.

  • Handled it very well.. I love her husband Sidney's rebuttal to the interviewer.. =)

  • Love Monique! She is one hell of an actress!

  • Wow. Incredibly beautiful. Souful, respectful, encouraging and open.

    Role model :)

  • wow. u gotta hand it to her. she seems like the most down to earth celebrity i've ever seen. how she relates to the reporters is amazing, not like she's superior but with dignity, respect and love.

  • i love her dress....

  • That's not a real marriage.

  • @rscmrcmd....what makes you say, "that's not a real marriage?"

  • Well, someone will say "there are all kinds of marriages". Mo'Nique says, "we're being very honest". Don't allow yourself to be fooled. There is nothing honest about an 'open' marriage. 'Open' is a euphemism for 'Cheating'. It's cheating for the Hollywood crowd. Their marriage is probably more like a business partnership. Maybe he agreed to marry her in exchange for a title, Business Manager or something but this is not a true marriage, involving love and fidelity to each other.

  • it's absolutely honest ...as long as they're honest with each other. you have no idea what kinds of ground rules they set up. if you're not in their relationship it is not your place offer judgement. you seem to want to condemn "the hollywood crowd" but there is no 'one right way to live' for everyone. you can only find the right path for yourself. how dare you? is your own life *that* empty?!?

  • I could care less about their "ground rules" I do not "offer judgement", neither do I condemn. Don't the marriage vows say, "I promise to be true to you" or am I making that up. No one condemns a persons choice to have multiple partners. If that's what you want, fine. You should not get married though. Marriage if for people who want to commit to each other. That's why they wear a ring and have a ceremony. Otherwise it is just a travesty.

  • Then please show me an example of a "real" marriage real is a matter of perception! I would much rather know my mate is going to have extra-marital affairs and be able to prepare and protect oneself than to find out on national television or a magazine...it happens we have to be real about ti. "Marriage" in my mind is a pinnacle most people cannot reach and they set themselves up for failure and the children have to suffer...I did!

  • I don't think it would make any difference if you knew beforehand that your spouse was with some one else or you found out later and they lied to you about it. People make a big deal about lying but the truth is they are hurt that their spouse cheated at all. In a "real' marriage, people promise to be true to each other. They know they could be tempted but they decide to commit to one person. This woman has been married twice before. She'll divorce this guy as well. Just watch and see.

  • Love how they ( Monique and her husband) handled the question!!!!!!! wonderful!!!!!!! love it!!!!!!!

  • What Is Wrong With You People? Why Are You Bickering Back And Forth With Much Hate?

  • I love her! And her husband did handle the question well, What a sweet guy to go with a sweet lady. LOVE YOU MONIQUE!

  • ugly fat arse

  • She handled the media really well! She didn't seem fake at all; she shows great confidence.

  • big ups to Mo' nique husband....you handled it bro! hahaha!

  • she is beautiful

    she is sexy

    big women are hot too

  • DON'T HATE... THATS WHY YOU'R BROKE

  • @ngames1

you are the horrible human being

i doubt you would say any of this to Mo"nique's face.

  • fuck him

  • stfu i bet yu are too

  • how is she horrible?

you seem like the horrible person insulting someone because of their weight.

  • man the harpoons

  • Dude, her husband shut that reporter up quickly!

  • she broke it down without a Harvard pigs skin. ha ha!

  • Monique is Beautiful!!!!! She won i'm sooo proud!!!

  • I'm so proud of her I don't care who says that she shouldn't even have been up for an oscar let alone win one she did her thing and did it through the grace of God her talent is unmatched and she never changed who she was and always knew and still knows who she is I think back to "The Parkers" and even then I saw something in her talent wise that would allow her to one day do what she did last night Mo'Nique girl I love you and you keep doing you your a winner during "Award Season" and in life!

  • I'm not black so I don't know if there is any "Truth" behind that comment but yes she is unique looking and is always dressed to the 9's which makes up for any lacking areas to her what I like to call her "Shell"

  • she is beautiful just becuase she not a fuckin size 2 dont mean she not pretty

  • mixedrick, yes it does mean shes not beautiful!! Her crotch probably smells sweaty and like old onion cheese dip!!

  • that was very ignorant ,it dont matter what u say cuase she still successful and doing her thing

  • not classy at all

  • she might be a fat bitch but she a black rich fat bitch, and the only thing you are good for is hating cuz you are a miserable nothin ass loser, who probably gets your ass whooped or fucked by other men.

  • @blackmagicwoman7777

She ain't that rich. And if she continues on this path of irreverence, won't be getting a lot of noteworthy roles or any future nominations. So pace yourself. You don't remain at the top by being a bitch!

  • @TrailerTrashific

I dont know who told u them lies bcuz most people in the entertainment business are a-holes. Look at P. diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis (may these great actresses R.I.P.) all of these people were not nice when they made it u have to be mean bcuz the entertainment field is rough and people in the industry are constantly judging you. that is why most actors are snobby bcuz they dont want people to see weakness in them.

  • LMAO Tell em'

  • I really think mo'nique is sexy even though she's fat!!! She's so beautifull!! Some people are just jealous because they can't act like her!!!!!

  • even though she's fat?

  • Yeah I mean, some people think fat is ugly, but she's the proof that fat can be sexy and beautifull!!!!

  • @futurstarsinger yes! =)

  • Don't criticize this woman for not being able to show up for events, even if she had to show up for promotional reasons. She's a superstar now, and now she has to be in so many places at once. Mo'nique is an amazing woman, and her performance in 'Precious' and her contribution to the TV/film industry eclipse her inability to show up at one or two events.

  • Face by Sam Fine!!! I LOVE IT!!!

  • Monique is so fake. And all that "sis" "brother" and "baby" is irritating as hell!

  • @nomartini1 i think it was her way of being friendly... maybe where she comes from its endearing to call people sis baby or brother.... just like some people call each other sweetie and hun or huney.... I dont think she was being arrogant.... I think her exterior can be abrasive... but I think celebrities have to put up with alot of B.s. from people...

  • @Babs22h I understand your point but I really don't see why her husband should butt in. The journalist asked her a perfectly acceptable question and they both heated up for no reason.

  • Since when did Monique marry Wesley Snipes?

  • Halle got an Oscar for having sexual intercourse with a white man who killed her black husband.Monique, who is not an actress by training, awarded for playing a not quite female creature. If you don' t understand racism/white supremacy;what it is and how it works; everything else you think you understand will only confuse you. Monique keeps referring to the reporters with "Baby", "Thank you baby." Mammies and animals and white men's whores. Awards for that.

  • Yeeeeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh My God! Thank you She damn well deserves everything good coming to her. You go Monique, go handle what is YOUR BUSINESS Yeahhhhhhh!!!!!!!! So proud of you girl.

  • Right after your fat bitch mother right!!!!!!!!!!

  • Do I detect a hint of JEALOUSY yes I do Monique cannot help being a beautiful voluptuous BLACK RICH AND INTELLIGENT AND WAIT A MINUTE DID I SAY RICH VERY RICH WOMAN. Your Moms have......YOU! Even that must be a dissappointment for her

  • honestly, some celebs behave so fake. But I could really tell that she's so genuine and kind hearted, her diction alone gives off that impression. She equals life!

  • Her husband broke it down real plain.

  • I luv how she breaks down hair-face-dress!!!! and the Sid-Mo team OMG that is amazing!

  • My heroine. I'm so happy she's getting this much attention and respect. She deserves it.

  • Give me that dress!

  • Who goes from a BET comedian to an Oscar nominated/A-List celebrity? Not many..Love you Mo!!!

  • THAT'S what I'm talking about brotha!!! Represent your woman intelligently

  • That's my girl! Luhve you Mo'!

  • That woman is good. I love her she dosen't change herself for nobody.

  • well, she probably would.

  • That's what I call a mf-ing TEAM!!! Yall worked that SH*T and I'M PROUD OF THEM & BLACK LOVE!!!!

  • umm the oscars are not until next month

  • That was one helluva interview. Monique, and her husband, handle those questions flawlessly

  • Monique is so classy and sophisticated and elegant. She handles the media so well. She deserves all the success she is having right now. She is helping to change the face of Hollywood.

  • Why didn't she show up at that oscars?

  • @Saja155 When you commented the Oscars did not take place yet... but the Oscars was yesterday(3/07/10) and she was there...and WON if that answers ur question.

  • @saja155...what are you talking about? the oscars were just last week. she was there to accept her award. maybe you're mixing up awards.

  • Amen sista!

  • smart answer

  • Monique is growing and becoming. She handles the media the way the should be handled. Excellent rebuttle by letting her manager answer that question. Take note honey. They BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN is in control of her life. Not the media, not supperficial hollywood standards, and not negitivity! She had transended and you all should too!

  • @HearSayJSU ....Amen

  • Let people grow. I attended a new years watch service where the pastor used Tiger woods as example. He said twice in his career while he was on top, Tiger switched up his swing. Critics, friends, and oponets of Tigers thought he was crazy and would fail. The point is, to get to the next level you have to switch up your swing, You can do what you did to get to this level to get to the next. The saying goes "if you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten."

  • your mother

  • anybody whos says this movie is bad or a joke is truly SICK! thats saying all the real life precious's around the WORLD who go through rape and verbal abuse every single day of their life are a JOKE. mo'nique is an extraordinary actress who's career in hollywood will only rise from here on out!

  • Is that the best Sidney could do for an explanation?! Monique looked so proud while he spewed that nonsense. Oprah has a show that she does everyday and managed to appear at the toronto film festival one of the most well attended, media covered film festivals in the world. Sherri Shepard also there. If her brilliant business mgr Sidney thought it was financially worth her while, he would have ensured her attendance and care for their children. He is the father of these kids right?!

  • How can you use Oprah who has no children and has a ton of top execs running her empire & compare 2 STILL strugglin yet accomplished Mo' who is spreading her wings with the help of her husband? Sherri is on the View and just started a new show....Monique has a lot more obligations than that. She obviously values family WHICH weins when u get caught in the webs of Hollywood. So dont judge her husband for a just and acceptable answer. How is walkin EVERY red carpet financially worthwhile? PLZ!!

  • Hello! Preach it karenrenford. Oprah does not have kids. She does not have to worry about juggling her career and her business alongside of being a mother! Sherri's main obligation is her status on The View. So using Oprah and Sherri to judge Mo'nique is a bad example, chosen by someone(Blaquarius) who doesn't know all of his or her facts.

  • I can't believe she allows Sam Fine to do her makeup! She better watch her money, jewlery, and her man when he's around.

  • Who is Sam Fine?

  • Make-up Artist

  • She and her husband are an inspiration.

  • she so BEAUTIFUL

  • MO AND SID', ARE NOT TO BE PLAYED WITH!!!!...DO YA'LL MOTHERFUCKERS, HEAR ME..LOL. Whoever the journalist was who wanted to know why she wasnt in 5 places at one time, is probably thinkin', " I shoul've just kept my fuckin mouth closed and not said a damm word". She and Sid' eloquently, dismissed him in the blink of an eye...NEXT!!!

  • You must be Monique, whoever you are, why so angry? People have a right to their opinions. You need to calm down

  • I loved her husband's answer to the critic - very dignified. People can't go to everything. Get real.

  • she is a beautiful woman inside and out! <3

  • omg! I loooooooooveee her!!

  • its a good thing she dont give a damn about what yall think and her paycheck doesnt reflect it..go monique,u r the bomb!

  • i looooooooooooooove u

  • i love how everybody got something negative to say monique you deserved that award you got!!! and i can wait to you get yourrrrrrrrr OSCAR!!!!

  • kristalfan4life: Personally, I am so, so very proud of Monique for winning the Golden Globe award. I have always loved her. She's a very Smart and Beautiful woman.

  • The movie was okay. What was wrong with it??

  • Comment removed

  • SHE WON THE GOLDEN GLOBE, HATERS! WooHoooo!

  • Mo'Nique, I am SOOOOOO proud of you! I admire you, and your work has truly touched my life. God bless you, and I pray that I'll be honored enough to finally meet you, one day. If I have even 1/100th of your success in my life path, then I'll know that I've done good. Big hugs, from one big girl to another. Mwah!

  • Amen to that! My sentiments exactly. Love Mo'Nique!!!!

  • fuck te haters. if you dont like monique then y are u wasting your time trying to write comments that no 1 fucking cares about. GO MONIQUE!

  • oh yeah alfrunk, she's not a untalented negro, if she was she wouldnt have won the golden globe award

  • yeah i agree with johnnsac79

  • I can't believe some of the hatred in the comments below. Mo'nique has won an award that is well deserved and overdue. What makes me even more sick is the lack of opportunity for minority actors in Hollywood. The fact that stereotypical roles have to be played by certain races in order to be recognized.

  • White is the majority right now at around 56% but all other minorities are experiencing the most growth. A lot of whites and other minorities are having children together too. Current demographic trends show the white population is on the decline.

  • SHHHHHHA!!! Go Mo'!

  • iscmk3, thank you for sharing that; its powerful stuff especially considering this type of common sense isn't so common anymore. Wonderful creed to live by,

  • great job Mo'! and "the WHIPLASH" stop hating and get a life
