The wii is selling at 2x the rate of the ps3. It is also significant that it is much cheaper to develop for the wii then the true next gen consoles. This has to due with the fact that the wii is roughly 1/2 times more powerful then the origional xbox, thus the xbox 1.5. Developers dont need to worry about the complexity's that they would face with a console like the ps3 which is about 20x as powerful as the wii and costs only 150$ more and comes with a hell of alot more bang for your buck.

Well I loved MH1 on ps2, then here in Europe we don't even get MH2. I highly anticipated a 3rd. I have a wii and a ps3, I love both, however. I just feel MH3 is a game that should land on ps3. The powerful console could really make the game epic, the internet service is awesome.

Why do ya'll think MH Tri would be better on Ps3? If anything it most likely would be alot shorter and cut down due to them working on having higher graphics as opposed to uping the graphics alittle bit then adding more fun stuff. On Psp, though fun, its annoying to play. using the D pad to move the camera is annoying, especial when running away from Wyverns and Dragons. I think Monster hunter would also work on DS, it might not have good graphics but the Touch Screen could be used effectively

managed to ignore the sucsess of monster hunter twice before with the lack of MH2 and MHP2G in US and UK.

capcom are good, but surely, someone high up there must be mentally retarded? why would you not release a game overseas when it has a good market there? it doesnt make sense

Previously all Monster Hunter generations have first come out on a home console, a year or longer before appearing on PSP.

MH3 will first be released in Japan, then possibly in other regions.* After this it will be released on a handheld console (PSP or its next iteration) but this won't be before 2010.

*Nothing announced. MH2 was not released in the Western markets.

Id say he only reason there were no MH2 releases in the west coz the producers thought there was not enough ppl buying it. They probably think with MHf series there are more sales therefore if they put it on all 3 consoles Ps3 wii and xbox and in all common regions they will sell even more so they will probably take ages developing the next games.
