@fwijnja salut moi je possede encore le 33t acheter dans les annees 1970/1980 d ailleurs j ai toutes la collection en 33t je suis un fan de klaus maleureusement decéde
Oh' give the guy a break. In the world of vocal-less music the buzz at the time was probably that stupid popcorn song that made money by the bucket full. Anyone attempting to cash in on it's glory with the musicianship of a Klaus Wunderlich or Lenny Dee certainly deserved the exposure boost. Goodness knows an empty auditorium makes for bad acoustics when it comes to organ playing.
Hey thank you very much for posting that great performance by Master Wunderlich..; but do you think you could upload more of that record, and thanks again.
@staffsmole Klaus also played Pop Corn! You can find it on my channel. Corn Flakes or Flakes is a kind of 'continueing' from pop Corn. Please watch the video!
LOL, let me guess, some kind of P2P downloading done? Popcorn is not by Kraftwerk whatsoever, but by "Hot Butter" (most known version). The original was written for a Moog synthesizer by Gershon Kingsley in 1969.
Kraftwerk never did a cover of Popcorn, but this name is used in some crappy P2P networks.
When I was in Germany many years ago, I really found the really tasty Pop Corn, that I could not find anywhere else in the World before, either after that. Klaus you are really Immortal, indeed. You know that well. Many Thanks, Klaus &. 0x51d.
Not only is it produced by Klaus Wunderlich - he also wrote it. The name K.Lauer on the record label is an anagramme for KLAUs wundERlich. It seems to be heavily inspired by "Pop corn".
@organfairy You are right. He made a statement, "Klauer" is German for ..... RIPPER ! So he wilfully admitted he based it on Pop Corn. Anyway, it is quite a funny composition.
i have the whole collection complete.included all the eps.sometimes i still find a new one.like the ep from this music.

The thing about Popcorn that is brilliant is that it actually sounds like popcorn being popped. Cornflakes does not sound like cornflakes =)
However, I love the song and it's obvious Klaus likes the Popcorn tune since he made his own version and this totally wonderful homage in it's honour.

I prefer popcorn over cornflakes, but I guess its a matter of taste?

Having just listened to the Popcorn origional, even the drum intro is EXACTLY the sam on this clip.
It is such an obvious rip off!!!

I'm sorry, but this is definately an attempt to rip off "Popcorn" by Hot Butter.
And to then call it "Cornflakes"....?
Please, Wunderlich fans, don't show your ignorance by giving me "thumbs down" when you know I am right.
staffsmole 1 year ago
I prefer to think of it as a humorous pastiche, especially considering the title.

sounds a LOT like popcorn by kraftwerk, kind off a turn off, because popcorn by kraftwerk is better haha:P

There's no connection between Popcorn & Kraftwerk what so ever.

Popcorn is not by Kraftwerk.

Am I just being stupid..
or is this a cheap, terrible attempt to replicate the song "Popcorn" that was a hit at the time?
Even the title..."Corn-flakes"... is a complete simulation of the origional.
For a man with so much talent, this is really a poor attempt to make money.
What a load of rubbish.
