The bible says that God is loving, and yet it also says:
"All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense". (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)
How can God be loving for saying that children who swear at their parents should be killed? In truth a loving God would not do this if he was loving.

so for thomas he's made a saint? he won't just take the statements of others on faith? god goes out of his way to show him proof of his existence but the rest of us aren't good enough for that? it will ruin our free will? give me a break...

@phead80 I suspect he was made a Saint more for his actions after the Resurrection: travelling to India to evangelise the sub-continent. The Oriental Orthodox Churches in Kerala identify themselves as founded by Thomas. Focus more on the action of faith than the process by which one arrives at it.

@simonrundell he didn't have any faith, he had to be provided evidence. that's the point of the story. faith is believing something with no evidence of it being true. funny how some think it's a virtue.
