@jasin95 Great! Make sure you follow the trail and put some close to where it originates. Be patient and wait a couple of days... Its bound to get back to the queen and you'll be ant free! :)
@gmailwheat No, it does kill them, you should see some dead ants inside the bait stations. But it takes a long time to completely kill all the ants. And I think the bait loses some potency after a while, because my ants started ignoring the baits and only resumed feasting on them after I replaced them all (they still had liquid inside, but the ants didn't care for it after one week).
I have had some ants in my bedroom. There's absolutely no food for them there, not even crumbs because I vaccum thoroughly, but they keep foraging for food there. Set a bait station today, and it's already baiting. Hope it works as intended.
@neumei626 it actually did not seem that bad until after I put out the bait. After I put the bait out I was surprised just like yourself at how many ants came out. I guess they loved this stuff.
@MissWWE20 Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. I think an important part of using this product is to make sure you put it as close to the "nest" as possible to make sure the queen ant actually dies. I wasn't sure where that was so I just followed several trails throughout the house and outside and placed several baits just to make sure that it got to the queen ant. Hope this helps!
@MissWWE20 You could always try the good ol' peanut butter and borax sandwich. Worked great for me on little sweet ants. Mix a tablespoon of any peanut butter with a tablespoon of borax. Put it between two crackers of your choice and set it as close to the ant trail as possible. One will find it, dozens more will visit your buffet, and in a few days there won't be a single ant in sight!
@JazyGirl26 I'm not sure if they work like these smaller colony type of ants where they have "workers" and the "queen" who is the one that reproduces the ants. I'm not sure... Sorry!
@JazyGirl26 Carpenter ants only eat rotten wood. I'm pretty sure you have to spray them with something a little more directly in the holes where they feed and live.
@morriswil32 Wrong.. Google carpenter ants.. They only bore trees to make their nest, but they EAT sweet things, such as nectar. Hence, things like Terro work very well... doing it right now.
@JazyGirl26 I know I'm a bit late on this but I had carpenter ants and got rid of them with Advance Carpenter Ant Bait in granule form. Carpenter ant nests work the same as any other ant colony. The only difference is the carpenter ant makes its galleries in wood while other ants kind of form their nest around whatever is already there. Carpenter ants seem to prefer "meaty" food, and the Advance smells a little like tuna fish. I've heard of people mixing borax with turkey to kill carpenters.
We are using them on carpenter ants and they LOVE the stuff.. will let you know if it nukes the colony, but I can't imagine it won't.... they are all over this stuff
No .. we used it inside (placed it on tin foil) and used it outside too.. it works better inside since it doesnt dry out. If you place it outside, use their outdoors ant baits to protect it from the elements or place the bait right on the nest so they eat it before it dries...
@qix77 Terro is great! I haven't had a single problem with ants since I used it back when I uploaded this vid. The crazy thing is that there was only a few ants and after putting the Terro out the entire colony seemed to come out! Oh, I live in Miami.
I am a huge fan of Terri ant baits. Lay one out and it draws the ants. Refill as it empties till the ants stop coming. This stuff is amazing!! Not only can you get it at walmart, but home depot and lowes carries it too. Some food stores also. This is worth every penny.
@jimsnodgras Thanks for your reply friend, but unfortunately we dont have Walmart in NZ. So obviously this "Terro" is only sold in the US, damn it. But I have just started using a mixture of maple syrup & Borax, seems to be working okay so far, thanks again.
@Gamesrock22 LOL! I'm not sure about how good Raid works..... try to return it and buy some Terro Bait! It works great and its cool seeing all the ants going crazy over it. A part of me kinda wants the ants to come back so I can use it again! :-)
Let me know how Raid works if you do end up using it....
I bought Terro liquid bait & Raid 8-pk bait from Home Depot 2 days ago and put them down together at the places ants travel. I am amazed how fast Terro attracts the ants: just in 2 minutes couple of ants came to it, in 30 minutes a hundred, in an hour 5 hundred? Seemed like the ants could smell Terro and ran straight up to it. Not even one got into Raid, even after hours. (maybe I should not put them close)... a day later only saw few still coming. I will see what happened in few days.
@plackpoolhc Hey guys, where can I buy some of this Terro ant bait. I have a real problem at home with these little black bastards, they are everywhere. !!
@jbanke1 I'm not sure what kind of ants these were but I'm willing to bet this would take care of them as well. I used this product about a 1 1/2 ago and haven't seen an ant since. It takes about a day or two for the ants to start coming out and about a little over a week for them to be completely gone. Be sure you place them in the places you see them most often and that the actual bait doesn't dry out completely. Good luck with the ants!

How many recommended traps should be layed out for the ants (the indoor liquid death ramp bait)? Should I do all 6 at once or a couple at a time?

My new ant bait attracted lots of ants to eat and died on spot after 2 hours! It is only $1 with 5 small boxes.

Terro does not work at all. Yes the ants do eat it but and swarm all over it but none of them die, I think it just makes them stronger.
