@yakridersky It doesn't matter, if anything it looks pretty cool and unique...just like they are! RUSH is like no other band cause they don't try to be, they try to be themselves! Awesome, talented, amazing...check. Amazing live...check. Unique...double check! At the Snakes and Arrows tour they had massive rotisseries on stage cooking whole chickens. lol I'm a die hard fan. :)
Holy fuck boys, for those of you who don't know why there's washing machines, it's because Neil has his massive ass drum set and Alex has his wall of amps but poor 'ol Geddy gets nothing, so he put washing machines as a joke.
@fetchy15 Not really... Geddy just prefers to use the PA system for his bass amplification. Geddy felt weird though without having anything behind him, so every tour they went on he threw something different behind him to fill that empty space. Last show I saw them at they were using rotisserie chicken ovens.
I love you with all my heart, and I know that you want the band to become a household name, but putting washing machines on stage is taking it a bit far, don't you think?
What the hell demographic are you trying to capture with household appliances?
Wow , bummer such a small crowd..... I luv Geddys voice at the end , that part is very hard to sing , great version , saw them twice in the 80's awesome shows !
This is the first vid where you can draw a direct comparison between Neil's old style and his new one. Look at old versions of this song: Neil's style changed, and he became a much better drummer. Now, instead of trying to drill holes through his drums, he seems to float above them. There is a huge difference.
@firebirdsummer2 : When Geddy went to all direct-input, there was a disparity between his backline and Alex's. Geddy no longer had a huge stack of amps, but Neil still had his huge kit, and Alex had his stacks of amps. So Geddy started out by balancing the onstage picture with a refrigerator. It's an old musician's joke: a huge amp was called a refrigerator amp. Then, he started using other appliances. The clothes here are Rush t-shirts, which they toss to the audience, after the show.
@2333jim Hey thanks for the Rush trivia, someone at my job was also wondering about it to. Now I can tell them why, very cool thanks. Rush is awesome.
Well, I love RUSH, and this one of the best song that Peart hace ever written, but Why am I the only one that ask himself?: why the hell have they wasching machines doing laundry there?

@prodigyofpeace1983 there is only one place where that many people will watch Rush , Canada. And just to prove im right, look at the giant canadian flag right behind them....
@SHINOBIPANDA420 To say that is to say Rush is not popular anywhere else but Canada when that is not true one bit. They are as popular in Canada as they are in the United States, South America, Japan, Australia, and all over Europe. So your comment was pretty much unwarranted.

@Riversleigh1 I think it had to do with a reviewer way back who said watching their stage act was about as interesting as watching clothing tumble in a washing machine.
@CygnusRising001 If I paid a Quarter for fan opinion, I would get 5 Nickel back for worth of each of them. RUSH is 'The Mountain', you have either been there, or been square. Making Spheres of Cubes for 4 decades now, long live Rush.
wow Alex can actually sing pretty well! Everyone already knows he's amazing at guitar and that Geddy owns on bass and vocals and that Neil is a ridiculous drummer, but now we know that Alex can sing!
just spoke with david letterman and steven tyler and j'lo and the question was when mick jagger was at the grammys singing some celestial voice, the question was...how do you live with yourself and your clear bathosphere?
HOLY F&#K! Was this from the RIO? How many were in attendance there, does anyone have any clue? I am going to go see them again at White River Amiptheater in Auburn (Seattle) for the 3rd year in a row! To see Neil play drums is worth the price of admission alone!
