Truthfully, even if you go to a fancy college like Harvard or Stanford, you will NOT be able to find a high paying job if you only get a degree in liberal arts. In other words, you'll be in DEBT for a LONG time. My friend went to UCI, got a bachelor's degree in economics, and now he's doing sales. What's the point? It's going to take him a LONG time to pay back the debt. That's the reality.
Some people always say that private/for-profit colleges are terrible. There's some truth to that. However, the same type of HORROR story can happen at any public college. How many professors at these public colleges have actual work experience themselves? These public colleges charge tuitions as much as private/for-profit colleges. Their professors get housing and all kinds of benefits packages. Is it fair to ask the students and taxpayers to absorbe the costs? Colleges're just greedy.
Wow... what a ingenious setup: lure people into U of Phoenix for a worthless degree, then channel them into perpetual low-wage jobs at places such as Harrah's casino! Its not like those people have a whole lot of other choices! XD
@GMATveteran LOL You sound like a loser. Worthless degree? They have some programs such as accredited nursing programs which help their graduate students get jobs at local hospitals. You hate your own worthless life, and that's why you come up here and trash this college. Trust me, it won't make your life any better. My friend went to UCI, and he got a bachelor's degree in economics. What's he doing now? SALES. Now that's pathetic!
@GMATveteran One of the deans at a local community college in my area is a Phoenix (he got a degree in education there). The salary and benefits are VERY good. U of P has a decent reputation because its programs are accredited. But I guess you're too stupid to know that. Or mayb you're so busy with your "job" at Walmart that you don't know what's happening in the real world.
Comparatively, my loan is costing me just as much as any other college, this video is obsolete. Many traditional colleges are terrified of the effectiveness of learning online and will use many methods to attack online education. Smear campaigns and other tactics will be used to attack technological advancements.
@adriank1223 Never had any problem with them. I don't owe as much thanks to scholarships, and grants. Those who claim its a scam, well, lets just say they want to make themselves look better. Yes, its a private school with the same classes I would have taken at a regular state university or college.
University of Maryland University College actually accepted most of my credits. While they accepted my Math credits, I did have to take math over because the Algebra classes that I took at Phoenix were consider remedial classes at Maryland. Overall I enjoyed Phoenix.
@2tim149...the sad thing is that poor students...or students who don't have time to go to a traditional school invest a lot of their emotional ego in UoP. This means that you can try to tell them what a waste the school is, but they will fight you and tell you that you don't know what the school is. It's the same with college age teenagers who are determined to get a degree in Art, Philosophy or basket weaving....you cannot show them the truth, they have to experience it themselves in time.
I love their commercial currently being shown on TV. This woman talks about her Phoenix education and says "A lot of my instructors are also...." Well, apparently they don't teach grammar.
All schools are for Profit. If you are not book smart don't go to college. It is not worth it in today's age. I learned the hard way. Went to school for Political Science and you really cannot do anything with it. Again do not just go to college to go because you think you will get ahead. I am dyslexic as well and academic type jobs are stupid to pursue. Telling others so they do not make the same one I did. The path I'm in now is making me good money but not respected at all.
I am sure some people do well from here, but from my limited knowledge on the topic U of P appears to be one large scam on people and I really feel sorry for those who attend there. I did notice someone on here got a PhD from there, and yest a PhD you can't argue with that degree, but in general this school will not get someone the job of their dreams. You are better off working hard to attend the Ivy league or high end public school, as those are pre-reqs for high end jobs, or medical school.
@cjn9999 If you haven't ever attended then you have nothing to add to the dicussion but listening to people who either failed to pay their bills, got loud mouthed and decided that they did not want to attend, or did not get their way.Better yet, there are those that have a harsh background that would never pass a check if they even decided to obtain a certain job. I have two degrees from UoP and have hed no problem obtaining a job in my career filed. No diffferent from an Ivy league.
Those con artists got my sister with that shit and they tried to get me.... I took one so-called summer semester in 2007 with those idiots, realized it was a scam and when I tried to leave, they tried to make it impossible.... Saying I owed them money when I didn't.... Well, I have been going to accredited schools like University of Tulsa and University of Oklahoma ever since.... Hell, even a community college (which I've been to) is better than this crap
@batestiaful Whatever asshole.... I took classes with them in the summer. Can you not get that into your littke brain! YouTube is just filled with dumb fucks who have NO lives psh
@musicfeen64 Hell I took classes with them in the summer, winter, fall, and spring.....these are not semesters. Just because you happen to attend a brief time during the summer does not make it a summer semester...again there are no semesters at UoP. This is a degree oriented college....straight through...no breaks except for Christmas break other than that there are NO semesters.
@twistedfocus100 I am you prick... It's called the University of Oklahoma... Ever heard of it asshole... You YT douchebags are getting on my last nerve psh
@musicfeen64 Oklahoma city.... What a shit hole... Brick town is ok. Rest of the town is full of dumb asses and its one big ghetto... Hookem Horns....
@scottrex33 All colleges are "for profit" regardless of what the media or the person doing this video. They are not a "public" school, nor a "non-profit" school-they make money and have massive defaults just the same. The problem is that the brick-and-mortar colleges are loosing money when students prefer to go to online classes or colleges. Which is why most brick-and-mortar colleges have now included online classes within their own programs.
I am curious and read pages of comments here. It seems a lot of drop outs leave comments about there collection issues. I don't know the truth about UOP yet, but i feel that government institutions are sloppy. Is harvard a government school or a for prophet school?
@scottrex33 Most that drop-out of University of Phoenix do so because they thought the "degree" would be handed to them, or that they would receive "extra" monies left over from pell-grants...once they find out that there just might not be any left after tuition increases they then blame the school because they themselves do not have the money to pay bills like food, rent, or utilities. If anything, the real scammers are those that go in thinking it is an "easy" and "free money" party. It is not
@scottrex33 All colleges regardless of where you go are for-profit, or else they would not be in the business to begin with. Usually the ones that you see complaining and making their issues that they themselves caused now a problem with UoP, which it is not....the student should be smart enough to research regardless where they go. UoP receives their money up front-the ones that fail to pass a class, drop out, or do not have enough revenue to cover classes then turn to play the blame game.
This is all crap. Not one word of it is true. University of Phoenix doesn't provide SUB PRIME loans. This just a strait lie. You are provided a financial advisor as part of your graduation team. Any question you have about financial aid... goes to them. You are told up front what will happen if you drop out or fail a class... you will owe the federal government money... Not the University. University of Phoenix provides FEDERAL financial aid... not personal loans. They are not a bank.
@kamichal Exactly put kamichal....these people only have themselves to blame....but then again there are those that never even bothered to research outside of the media arena.
Well, working full time and NEED it to survive, I see either this or the military. Dad left but parents aren't divorced so I have to take care of my mom. Dad never let her educate herself or have a job so we are both at the bottom right now...Please don't reply with something stupid, I am just so desperate for a change and help. Thank you.
I attended university of phoenix. They kicked me out recently for financial reasons. Well I started 3 years ago and paid over $30,000 to it (through student loans, but since I have to pay it back it is still my cash). Well now they are doing everything they can to force me into counseling and kick me out because they don't like critical thinking.
They are trying to twist my words and make me look bad because I was angry when they kicked me out. I was a 3.6 student, and for a while a 4.0. I missed hardly any classes except for my protest about their stupid regulation that requires the student have the homework before the lecture on that topic. I complained. Well they didn't like that. It really should be read materials, attend lecture, and then do assignment, not read material, do assignment, then hear the lecture.
@aMayzism What do you mean you "rarely" missed any classes? First of all UoP associates degree requires 2-classes (each are 9 weeks) taken at the same time. The Bachelors degree requires one-class (lasting 5 weeks)...so "rarely" missed a class is incorrect. E-materials are the students books (yeah reading them might be required), lectures (I watched one lecture in 4-years) assignment...please you are given the assignment 9 wks in advance-can do any portion before due date. Try the truth.
Excuse me? I attended the location for a BS in Business Administration, and our first assignment was given 3 days before class, and the syllabus was given to us with the rest of the 5. My point is that the system is out of order. It should go from reading, lecture, and then assignment and not reading, assignment, and then lecture. I only missed 2 classes out of 3 years.
I am planning on starting at UNLV. Guess what though, most of their credits transfer. If you are in that school get out of it now. Lobbyists are rising against it. Tax payers wont pay for federal funding to a for profit school with little retention much longer. They have nasty incentives to their recruiters, and admit people who aren't likely to have a future in that career. Hear about the surplus of teachers? Don't be out of work and in debt because of their broken promises.
@aMayzism You do know who "lobbyists" are correct? All colleges allow students to take whatever courses and choose whatever career within the institution. To state that UoP somehow does this differently is wrong, they are all the same exact way. The student needs to be a responsible adult and actually research the career they want to ensure that when they graduate they will be able to fulfill that role...not the institution. NO college promises you a job, or that you will gain employment.
And we are just here to help the responsible adult make the correct decision to not attend a school that is going to over charge for a little bit of education. 5 weeks at 4 hours per week, compared to 16 week school. Tell me how deeply immersed in the material you were, which does wonders for retention... Sure, I liked that they used the same instructors as our local colleges, and I liked that the curriculum was thoroughly planned, but I am honestly telling you the truth it sucks.
@aMayzism "Five-weeks at four-hours per week"...that would be the minimum...which appears to be exactly what you wanted the bare minimum. No UoP requires you to actually work at getting that degree, work at researching, and work with others to obtain the end result. Not once did I ever do a four-hour per week study....if that is all you did then apparently you didn't bother to even read the assigned reading for that week because it takes way more time then your four-hours.
Excuse me, but I was only addressing the class time. In a State University you have reading too. I'm just saying, pay half the costs and go to a State university where degrees are highly respected across the community. Or spend twice as much and hope to find someone who will hire you that has respect for a University of Phoenix half-fast education.
Sadly, you can still pass, and not read a lick of the book. I hated seeing people get A's when I put the effort to have an exceptionally written APA formatted paper; well researched with respected sources, organized, and comprehensible. I created direct and visually stimulated power-points, and confidence and knowledge in my presentations. I hated to sharing the same letter grade with people who didn't put forth the effort. Where is the competition?
@aMayzism Really, I want to know how you knew what other student's received on any assignment, or for any class?? Not possible to view another student's grades, so that is a mislead on your posting. Where you going to college to benefit other people or to benefit yourself? This might be a shock to you, but I don't care where you go in the career arena, but you will be on a team regardless where people put forth a lot, and some will put forth as little as possible.
You didn't have a learning team? 30% of your grade relies on team assignments. You guys didn't become friends?
Part of being a leader is knowing how to motivate and inspire each other. To be able to understand each others goals and help each other achieve them. You don't have an obligation to carry them. That's what the team charter was for.
@aMayzism Where did I ever state that I was NOT on any learning team? No Where. You did not visually see what any persons grade was for any assignment individual or otherwise. Them telling you what they received is far different from viewing the grade yourself. One does not often enter the learning team with the same members each class, and never for the entire academic year period. Your role is not to understand each others goals-your role is toward that assignment only.
Yes I did, and we would also read them, and shared teachers comments. We were friends. I never said you weren't, I asked. You just seemed to have not ever socialized with them. And yeah, we usually had the same team. I would switch days so I could get in different groups. My goal is to become a great leader, not simply a manager.
Pay attention the next time you fill out the fafsa, it says right there what their retention rate is, and since the failed students can't pay it, the United States Tax Payers will. Sad huh, everyone else gets the burden of their mistakes. Just like the tax payers who will pay for smokers, alcoholics, and drug addicts health care.
As I work on transferring to UNLV from UoP, I have discovered that most of my credits are transferred as electives causing me to retake core classes, and any upper division credits, although applied, are useless to my degree because the University of Phoenix is not accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, which is the highest level of accreditation a business school can receive. So it truly is a waste of time. Don't go to UoP!
@aMayzism As I stated I went to both brick-and-mortar, and UoP...so your post is still false in the allegations made by you. And for the record UoP is a respected University. ....and by the way, it is not $400/per credit hour try again on that one as well. Better yet, don't try to mislead someone who has earned degrees in both areas because you will be caught and brought out in the misgivings.
Really? You don't have to take ACT or SAT to get in. Your GPA could match that of a monkeys. It is $400/credit and books. It is $1200 for a 5 week course that only gives you 3 credits, and $85 for the Apollo Library. It just gone up a little bit too. Poor teachers only see $1k total for the classes they teach. Sure they require you to uphold a certain GPA and attendance to maintain your loans, but they also hand out decent grades for mediocre work like candy.
@aMayzism Wrong! Yet again you are not posting the facts. Not once did I receive a grade that I did not earn...and your monkey and candy statement basically reflects that it is you that has the issue...perhaps reading the fine print (as you state) might be the way to go. And as a matter of fact, a lot of colleges (local and state) do not require ACT nor SAT to get in; however, most high schools provide these before you leave high school. Community colleges do not require them either.
So UNLV, a state university currently giving me a due date to provide my scores, doesn't require them? FYI, you can't get a bachelor's at a community college. I am truly posting facts. Want substantial evidence, I have plenty of e-mail correspondences with my financial adviser, and the people who mustered up reasons to suspend me.
@aMayzism Yeah right, mustard up reasons to suspend you. Really? You complain that it is a profit motive for them to receive financial gain from every student, now you claim that they just make things up to ensure they do not receive any more financial gain from you is that it? Now that is an oxy-moron right there. And I am truly posting facts as well.
Yeah, and they made a lot. They don't want me to discourage their current students. Although the idiots still call to get me to come back WHILE an other department has me suspended and require me to take anger management. Sadly, the counselor agrees with me. They hope I come back. I told them, the only reason I would come back was to raise awareness.
@aMayzism Again another lie posted about UoP not liking critical thinking. Perhaps posting to people that have not been through UoP might make an impression, but not on those that have attended the college.
In hopes that students from these schools might be able to submit their information into an online database. Just go to the Campus Progress website and click "for profit colleges" then scroll down and click "submit your story"
UOP charged me for a class their advisor had enrolled me in error..no warning, just a drop next to a class I already half completed & no sorry from the person I called at UOP to confirm it. I had to fight for 10 months- their collections were trying to charge me for a class they enrolled me in & dropped me from without asking. Worst decision I ever made. I hope no one else has to go through what I went through. They would of never stopped if I didnt keep thorough records and stood my ground.
@Theteapartytruther1 : The bottomline is that UOP degrees are excepted by fortune 500 comapanies and that is the bottom-line. There are many students left in debt becasue where the problem is with profit schools, is that they accept people who would not even make it in a traditional face-to-face school. .
Con't: The curriculum is the same and the education is tough. Online school requires people that do not need a "mommy or daddy" and can actually complete the programs with a GPA of 3.50 or better. Your right...this is rare so in that aspect..people are getting screwed. Now if you are a certain type of individual where you are not looking for a fast degree with easy classes, then you will no doubt be able t o pay your loans off.
Part III: You will either have your own business, or work for a top company in the field of your choice. I am a 3.89 GPA and have no shortage on offers. I choose to open my own PSY Clinic. This has been a PSA
Most people who have negative things to say about UofP or other for-profit schools never attended this type of school or have been in an online environment. I've been to traditional colleges and UofP. It is illogical to assume that a for-profit institution focuses on profits not education. Many people do not recognize a UofP degree, and that is shortsighted. I work for a Fortune 500 company and they recognize UofP as a valid institution.
@aMayzism that's a pretty general statement. I did see in your previous posts that you've experienced issues. That's unfortunate. I'd venture to say that not seeing eye to eye with the course strategy, or financial aid issues exist to some degree at every college.
@1981CrueHead Classes you never wanted?? Really?? Never once did I ever hear that from any student, nor did I ever see that happen to any student. Nice try though.
I have heard lot's of things about UOP. It's a good school, it's a bad school, but what i hear the most is that employers do not take you seriously if you graduated from that school. Well, tell that to my mom. She graduated from that school and now has a $690,000 house and 3 cars. So, there was my proof. I enroll in a couple of months!
@swaguymusicpage : EXACTLY...IT IS ALL IN THE STUDENT THAT ATTENDS. People looking for fast quick degrees will end up failing and owing a bunch of money! People that are serious about their lives, will prosper! I AM PHOENIX!
@LeighFeatherstone Employers are not going to hire someone with a degree from University of Phoenix over another accredited institution. Students won't be able to find a job and will default on their massive loans. I know 5 people this has happened to. Their lives are ruined because their credit is completely diminished.
@tytheeman20 Well then sue the employers for thinking,as such or maybe your thinking as such. Perhaps the five people were not even qualified to enter the major they chose.....no experience, arrest records, bad resume, job jumpers, etc. To blame the degree is way off base. You do know what they say about presumption right?
@batestiaful Nope. They graduated at the top of their class. Two of them graduated summa cum laude. It's not presumption. You can do what you want. I'm just telling you experiences that were told to me.
@tytheeman20 I have 21 friends who all were hired at great pay with their BA's from UOP. I have already been accepted to the Institute for schizophrenia based on my transcripts from UOP. This is the UK. The APA is who accredits university's. UOP is on the list. For profit does not make it any less educating. They must follow the same guidelines as all other university's once accepted by the APA.
No employers in my city would accept a degree from UOP. I KNOW for one the local corrections and police department does NOT accept criminal justice degrees from the UOP. It's too easy i could be doped up on crack and i would get a degree from phoenix. I love it when UOP calls me like 7am in the morning and 9pm at night. NO COLLEGES IN THE STATE OF GA WOULD NOT ACCEPT ANY CREDITS FROM THE UOP AT ALL! I WIN!
Yes, the UOP is accredited. But i know, almost no employers in my city would not accept a degree from UOP as a legitimate degree, i KNOW for one the local corrections and police department does NOT accept criminal justice degrees from the UOP. Case in point. I love it when UOP calls me like 7am in the morning and 9pm at night, i simply reported them to the BBB!
The credits are no good. community colleges will not even take them... don't let them lie to you..... also look up the law suites. My wife worked for them also. she was ask to break the law to get people signed up.... She quit after that.
@batestiaful Your lucky or the school you transfer to is not that high credited... Wasted two years on UOP, just to have to take classes over again.... My Community collage wouldn't take most credits from them.... Boise State wouldn't take any from them...
@twistedfocus100 I would say that Rutger's University in Camden New Jersey is highly credited....so your statement fell flat on it's own face there. All but two classes transfered from University of Phoenix.
@batestiaful well I'm just telling my story..... Not making this shit up... my wife worked for them as well.... Trust me I know how UOP works. All I can say is your lucky. They are not credited like you think. do some research.
I was attending UOP, i am trying to get out..but the thing is that they are telling me i can't or else i will have "Financial problems" I am on student loans, but i usually get money from a Pell Grant, which i never saw... Can someone give me advice??
@tinykikis I feel so bad for you :(, i was going to attend devry after leaving high school but did some research(lots of it research hard) it would be a waste of cash. When you go to apply for a job schools like this they take as a joke :[ But if you are on student loans i say you leave now and stop giving them more money day by day and start paying them back. Also enroll your self in a community college for 2 years(easy on pockets) and transfer into a 4 years school and get your bachelors.
@tinykikis they are swindling you the take out these loans and grants without your permission and send you big dissberment checks to make it look good cause they know people like free money my advice to you is get out while you can are really will be stuck with a big bill like me on my loans I owe seventeen thousand dollars and work a restaurant job and can not pay them back it would have been worse if I did not with drawl asap.
@Praisewarrior21 Again another lie....you the student fill out the loans and sign them online or via mail....you know that you are obtaining federal funding for college.
@batestiaful yeah and most federal funding like grants and things should be free but not to them they make up stupid rules that are in fine print that say if you drop out of class you have to pay it all back in full. including the classes you missed what a load of crap I work a minim wage job how the heck do they excpect me to pay all that back etc.
@Praisewarrior21 Perhaps your failure to actually read the fine print was your fault. I don't care where you go to college, if you drop out you have to pay that back (grants included). It has been that way for every college regardless where you go.
@tinykikis i got to UOP, and i receive the pell grant. the pell grant is not paid directly to you it is paid directo to the college as it should be. check your payment history screen and you should see PELLA as one of the payments.
Run as fast as can, for the cost of attending The University of Phoenix online, you could easily afford a state college or regional community college. As far as the accredidation debate, that is based on the academic instituation. Either way, if the school is recongnized by the US department of Education then it is accredited. Just research to ensure your nationally or regionally accredited program will be accepted by the other institution. It is soley at the discretion of the gaining school.
I have a Masters in comunnicasion form the Univarsity of Pheonix. I think it is a greate place for higher learning and you guys are just grape eating sours. I never had more than a gade education of 9 and in just 5 years of short I now have a Masters in communicasion. I am on track to a brite future of briteness now. Thank you Univarsity of Pheonix. Don't let the say nayers get you done.
@MeketoaI You have the education of a 9th grade and 5 years later have a master's degree um...you don't see anything wrong with this picture? yea this is why you don't attend the UOP/ITT/DEVRY
@MADMILLION2 They simply have an open admissions policy. Several publicly funded community college don't require a GED or HS diploma for admissions either.
@MeketoaI Yes, the UOP is accredited.
My boss makes fun of everyone who applies for a job and has University of Phoenix as their alma matter. He basically throws it in the garbage and says "Anybody who is stupid enough to go there is too stupid to work here." It might be okay if you're applying to smaller companies but it will pretty much be ignored by larger ones.
I personalty, I'm thinking about taking U of P to small clams court to recoup my loses from there deceptive enrollment and dropping of classes tactics, that cause average citizens of the country to be needlessly put into collections.
@nikki51572 Cmon-- are you for real? Have you ever attended any University of Phoenix courses? I didn't think so... oh, an how many times have out-dated colleges and universities make you take courses that you didn't need?...hmmm?
University of Phoenix is sucking the money out of the government by taking advantage of the American people stupidity. University of Phoenix has the lowest retention rate of freshmen, only 7% moving on to the next year. University of Phoenix has only 27% graduation rate and over 18% default rate. I have worked for one of the top 3 US banks in the student loan industry and even though UOP has a high default rate they are one of the biggest customers for banks and for the government.
From the comments to my post. If you feel the U of P has treated you unfairly, engaged in unfair business ethics or practices. The E how guides to do this are very good. Petition or Protest. Search for E how guides on the web.
@nikki51572 The thing is, you cannot bring down a legitimate business corporation in the United States. Bottom line, it's "Your own damn fault." You get what you pay for, and it's not what you expect all the time. People know better, if you want real accreditation, and can't get into a 4 year institution, then do it the right way, go to a city college and transfer your ass out into a 4 yr institution.
You may be a Profit, Odsnavy; but the Govt, is heavy investigating for Profit Schools like U of P now., Web Search, Morningstar Apollo Group, Stay Tuned........
@nikki51572 For profit schools in general should be avoided at all cost. They are there only for a reason, they are there to attract stupid students who couldn't make it into college, and just want a degree the faster and cheaper way. True college students make it into a real institution, and don't bullshit around with for profit schools. And when you go to a for profit school, you will only get an entry level position (assistant), but most of the time you don't get a job at all.
This school serves it's purpose, the whole point is to go to this school to get an undergrad degree quickly if you have the money. Than because it is regionally accredited, you go to a grad school with a well known name and/or program and graduate with a masters. That is what smart people do, I know this because I went to grad school at UC Domingas Hills with my phoenix degree. NO employer will ask where u got ur BA at when you have a masters.
@blueyourmom123 UofP is a for profit school, none of their credits are transferable to a recognized well known college. UCDH didn't even make it into the national rankings, wonder why? Try taking those credits from UofP to UCLA or USC, guarantee they will laugh at you first, then ask if this is a joke. So GTFO #FAIL
@odsnavy Try taking most credits to UCLA or USC and they will laugh at you. Grad school has more to do with the program and less to do with the school. GTFO FAIL? really, whether your right or wrong, your still kind of a douche
@blueyourmom123 Grad school REQUIRES you to have GRE; SAT; GMAT; etc. scores, plus pre-reqs, and at least three (3) or more references, along with a solid required GPA from an ACCREDITED COLLEGE/ UNIVERSITY! If this is true of U of P, then it is quite unfair for students who are true geniuses on this planet. Stupid fucking students that waste space in colleges will only FAIL in the future. NO SHORT CUTS! Call me what you want, but the facts are there.
@blueyourmom123 Oh and another thing, people taking other classes in college that has nothing to do with their majors and complain about it, are not meant to be in college. You take other courses to broaden your mind and your heart, you allow yourself to be open minded, and grow as a human being. That is what college/university can offer that no fucking for profit school can give.
@odsnavy Or it gives those who are due a leg up in life. I served four years in the army and am now a police officer in california. When the fuck was I suppose to go to school, I got my phoenix degree in the military. Are you telling me that in return for my service they gave me a useless peice of paper. You have a lot of time to hang out and research go serve your country.
@blueyourmom123 Exactly, you went to the army because you had no other choice left when you couldn't get into college. And yes, you got a useless piece of paper from U of P, where other major corporations wont bother to look at. And now your a cop, nothing more. Anyone without a college degree can be a cop. And I did serve my country, got my BS from Cambridge and recently got my MS at UCLA. Today, I research for a major drug company in one of USC's hospitals. That's what real college can give U
@odsnavy Your a liar, you did not go to cambridge, you never went to UCLA and USC only has USC Medical center And I will call your bluff because I am constatnly in the ward on the 13th floor doing transfers and will call your bluff.
@blueyourmom123 Cambridge is in UK, and USC has two major hospitals in Los Angeles you dimwit, and another one will be bought out as the third! Call me what you want dorkus, you #FAIL at calling others bluff just because you suck at a college level. Wow, what a goof.
@odsnavy let me get this straight, some jackass who trolls the internet on UoP video's from alabama with a confederate flag on his page got into cambridge than went to UCLA and now works in the medical field but has the oddest hobby of trolling UoP videos on the ineternet. Whether you want to believe it or not, even if that was all true, you are stil a douche.
@blueyourmom123 1) I'm not a troll, a troll is when someone who types a lot of shit without facts, then leaves. 2) Pretty much what i've typed up here are facts. 3) What's wrong with a confederate flag? Do you think it has to do with racism? 4) That's right, I am from Alabama, so what? Am I suppose to be a fucking hick? 5) Learn to "Excel" in life you goof #LOL
Phoenix is a joke for profit school. Most employers in my field laugh at degrees from UOP. It doesn't have AACSB accreditation for the business department and it probably never will. They have a financial incentive to pass students, require no SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE or minimum gpa. This isn't a school it is a diploma mill!!! They need to be cut off from federal student aid.
Phoenix is underrepresented in prestigious jobs and overrepresented in student loan defaults!!!
@Rockynurse I honestly just say this stuff to get people riled up. I had a buddy who went there for a semester and hated it, due to costs and poor programming. I'm in law enforcement and spent what would have been my college years learning how to diversify my assets. I put some comments up for fun when my friend was over at my house.
I went to the UOP for about a year and completed my GE classes there, however decided to transfer back to my local community college and then transfer to a four-year uni. I was able to transfer only 9 of the 30 total units that I completed at UOP and still had to retake some courses. For all of you considering going to UOP do your RESEARCH and ASK QUESTIONS before you enroll.
After completing my classes at my community college I was able to transfer to UCLA as an Art History major.
@valrk247 Of course those classes wouldn't transfer, junior colleges and community colleges do not take university level credits... people do not understand. Wikipedia is not research people!
@Gwave0 I was talking about G.E courses not Upper division. When I enrolled at UOP they tols me my units could transfer "anywhere." That was a lie obviously!
@Gwave0 Junior Colleges and Community Colleges now have transfer agreements to state universities so students can take upper level courses when pursuing their bachelors/masters. As In Example: Bronx Community College has over 20 transfer agreements to any university in the state of New York. So if I wanna continue my Associates I can transfer to SUNY or any other schools in NY. Its called Pathways to Success! Look it up!
In November 2008, The University of Phoenix agreed to pay $1.89 million to settle allegations by the EEOC for alleged religious discrimination favoring Mormon enrollment counselors.
This is a disgrace. Arizona State and Arizona are both prestigious colleges and have 90% acceptance rates so why the hell would anyone go to Phoenix when there are 2 real colleges they can get into right down the road?
Don't people get satire when it comes to the spelling and grammar errors? This video is good and it rings true to all for-profit schools, ITT-Tech, Devry, Apollo College, those massage and nursing schools, etc.
Go to ittakestime . org to learn more truth about for-profits.
there are alot of CRACK HEADS that are bragging about graduating with honors from UOP. LMAO! Apollo Company sued UOP because UOP students graduating with Master's Degree ONLY HAD A G.E.D.!!!! HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN? 95% OF UOP GRADUATE WITH "HONORS" and wonder why during graduation - HONOR STUDENTS are not mentioned LMAO! ROFL!
The Negative comments from University of Phoenix supporters can not hide the fact that this school is a rip off. Anyone, reading this comment go to a community college or junior college instead and get a 'honest' education. Not a for 'profit education ' that is worthless in the real world.
@fergfilm I'm not sure if University of Phoenix is legit or not, but all of the complaints in this video are true of college in general. The main complaint was that student loans leave students thousands of dollars in debt. Well, I just graduated from the local community college with my two year degree and I'm 10k in debt with two more years to go just for my bachelor's. But I mean, it's fine. Student loans have low interest and it's one kind of debt that looks good, granted that you pay it.
The problem is many for-profit colleges are not accredited. The credits even from University of Phoenix won't transfer to most traditional public and private institutions. Furthermore, for-profit colleges charge on average twice as much as legitimate community colleges, and often use 1/3 of their earnings for advertising. All this info is well known, just Google it! Does that sound like a good deal to you?
A friend of mine decided not to work for U. of Phoenix, after finding out what a horrible reputation they had.
mochafudgetruffle 1 week ago
Truthfully, even if you go to a fancy college like Harvard or Stanford, you will NOT be able to find a high paying job if you only get a degree in liberal arts. In other words, you'll be in DEBT for a LONG time. My friend went to UCI, got a bachelor's degree in economics, and now he's doing sales. What's the point? It's going to take him a LONG time to pay back the debt. That's the reality.
At least U of P offers career training programs.
ttiiyy 1 month ago
Some people always say that private/for-profit colleges are terrible. There's some truth to that. However, the same type of HORROR story can happen at any public college. How many professors at these public colleges have actual work experience themselves? These public colleges charge tuitions as much as private/for-profit colleges. Their professors get housing and all kinds of benefits packages. Is it fair to ask the students and taxpayers to absorbe the costs? Colleges're just greedy.
ttiiyy 1 month ago
Wow... what a ingenious setup: lure people into U of Phoenix for a worthless degree, then channel them into perpetual low-wage jobs at places such as Harrah's casino! Its not like those people have a whole lot of other choices! XD
GMATveteran 1 month ago 2
@GMATveteran LOL You sound like a loser. Worthless degree? They have some programs such as accredited nursing programs which help their graduate students get jobs at local hospitals. You hate your own worthless life, and that's why you come up here and trash this college. Trust me, it won't make your life any better. My friend went to UCI, and he got a bachelor's degree in economics. What's he doing now? SALES. Now that's pathetic!
ttiiyy 1 month ago

@Jantv81 I would say that its a FOR PROFIT school, not a private school.

University of Maryland University College actually accepted most of my credits. While they accepted my Math credits, I did have to take math over because the Algebra classes that I took at Phoenix were consider remedial classes at Maryland. Overall I enjoyed Phoenix.

2tim149 4 months ago
@2tim149...the sad thing is that poor students...or students who don't have time to go to a traditional school invest a lot of their emotional ego in UoP. This means that you can try to tell them what a waste the school is, but they will fight you and tell you that you don't know what the school is. It's the same with college age teenagers who are determined to get a degree in Art, Philosophy or basket weaving....you cannot show them the truth, they have to experience it themselves in time.

You could not make it as a student at UOP with your grammar and spelling anyway.

Diskopopjunkie 7 months ago
I am sure some people do well from here, but from my limited knowledge on the topic U of P appears to be one large scam on people and I really feel sorry for those who attend there. I did notice someone on here got a PhD from there, and yest a PhD you can't argue with that degree, but in general this school will not get someone the job of their dreams. You are better off working hard to attend the Ivy league or high end public school, as those are pre-reqs for high end jobs, or medical school.
cjn9999 7 months ago
@cjn9999 If you haven't ever attended then you have nothing to add to the dicussion but listening to people who either failed to pay their bills, got loud mouthed and decided that they did not want to attend, or did not get their way.Better yet, there are those that have a harsh background that would never pass a check if they even decided to obtain a certain job. I have two degrees from UoP and have hed no problem obtaining a job in my career filed. No diffferent from an Ivy league.

Is Harvard a government school or a for prophet school? Good Question right. Maybe Harvard will let me in. lol
scottrex33 8 months ago
@scottrex33 All colleges are "for profit" regardless of what the media or the person doing this video. They are not a "public" school, nor a "non-profit" school-they make money and have massive defaults just the same. The problem is that the brick-and-mortar colleges are loosing money when students prefer to go to online classes or colleges. Which is why most brick-and-mortar colleges have now included online classes within their own programs.
batestiaful 7 months ago
I am curious and read pages of comments here. It seems a lot of drop outs leave comments about there collection issues. I don't know the truth about UOP yet, but i feel that government institutions are sloppy. Is harvard a government school or a for prophet school?
scottrex33 8 months ago
@scottrex33 Most that drop-out of University of Phoenix do so because they thought the "degree" would be handed to them, or that they would receive "extra" monies left over from pell-grants...once they find out that there just might not be any left after tuition increases they then blame the school because they themselves do not have the money to pay bills like food, rent, or utilities. If anything, the real scammers are those that go in thinking it is an "easy" and "free money" party. It is not
batestiaful 7 months ago
@scottrex33 All colleges regardless of where you go are for-profit, or else they would not be in the business to begin with. Usually the ones that you see complaining and making their issues that they themselves caused now a problem with UoP, which it is not....the student should be smart enough to research regardless where they go. UoP receives their money up front-the ones that fail to pass a class, drop out, or do not have enough revenue to cover classes then turn to play the blame game.
batestiaful 7 months ago
Brilliant spelling! Probably a dropout in debt looking to blame the university for his own shortcomings.
andreopm 9 months ago
@andreopm LOL. Good one.
scottrex33 8 months ago
This is all crap. Not one word of it is true. University of Phoenix doesn't provide SUB PRIME loans. This just a strait lie. You are provided a financial advisor as part of your graduation team. Any question you have about financial aid... goes to them. You are told up front what will happen if you drop out or fail a class... you will owe the federal government money... Not the University. University of Phoenix provides FEDERAL financial aid... not personal loans. They are not a bank.

I attended university of phoenix. They kicked me out recently for financial reasons. Well I started 3 years ago and paid over $30,000 to it (through student loans, but since I have to pay it back it is still my cash). Well now they are doing everything they can to force me into counseling and kick me out because they don't like critical thinking.
aMayzism 11 months ago 2
@aMayzism
It really should be read materials, attend lecture, and then do assignment, not read material, do assignment, then hear the lecture.
aMayzism 11 months ago
@aMayzism What do you mean you "rarely" missed any classes? First of all UoP associates degree requires 2-classes (each are 9 weeks) taken at the same time. The Bachelors degree requires one-class (lasting 5 weeks)...so "rarely" missed a class is incorrect. E-materials are the students books (yeah reading them might be required), lectures (I watched one lecture in 4-years) assignment...please you are given the assignment 9 wks in advance-can do any portion before due date. Try the truth.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
Excuse me? I attended the location for a BS in Business Administration, and our first assignment was given 3 days before class, and the syllabus was given to us with the rest of the 5. My point is that the system is out of order. It should go from reading, lecture, and then assignment and not reading, assignment, and then lecture. I only missed 2 classes out of 3 years.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@batestiaful
So before paying over $400/ credit and e-books, you should consider paying a little over $200/ credit and books at a respected state university.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism
Don't be out of work and in debt because of their broken promises.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism You do know who "lobbyists" are correct? All colleges allow students to take whatever courses and choose whatever career within the institution. To state that UoP somehow does this differently is wrong, they are all the same exact way. The student needs to be a responsible adult and actually research the career they want to ensure that when they graduate they will be able to fulfill that role...not the institution. NO college promises you a job, or that you will gain employment.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
And we are just here to help the responsible adult make the correct decision to not attend a school that is going to over charge for a little bit of education. 5 weeks at 4 hours per week, compared to 16 week school. Tell me how deeply immersed in the material you were, which does wonders for retention... Sure, I liked that they used the same instructors as our local colleges, and I liked that the curriculum was thoroughly planned, but I am honestly telling you the truth it sucks.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism "Five-weeks at four-hours per week"...that would be the minimum...which appears to be exactly what you wanted the bare minimum. No UoP requires you to actually work at getting that degree, work at researching, and work with others to obtain the end result. Not once did I ever do a four-hour per week study....if that is all you did then apparently you didn't bother to even read the assigned reading for that week because it takes way more time then your four-hours.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
Excuse me, but I was only addressing the class time. In a State University you have reading too. I'm just saying, pay half the costs and go to a State university where degrees are highly respected across the community. Or spend twice as much and hope to find someone who will hire you that has respect for a University of Phoenix half-fast education.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism
Where is the competition?
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism Really, I want to know how you knew what other student's received on any assignment, or for any class?? Not possible to view another student's grades, so that is a mislead on your posting. Where you going to college to benefit other people or to benefit yourself? This might be a shock to you, but I don't care where you go in the career arena, but you will be on a team regardless where people put forth a lot, and some will put forth as little as possible.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
You didn't have a learning team? 30% of your grade relies on team assignments. You guys didn't become friends?
Part of being a leader is knowing how to motivate and inspire each other. To be able to understand each others goals and help each other achieve them. You don't have an obligation to carry them. That's what the team charter was for.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism Where did I ever state that I was NOT on any learning team? No Where. You did not visually see what any persons grade was for any assignment individual or otherwise. Them telling you what they received is far different from viewing the grade yourself. One does not often enter the learning team with the same members each class, and never for the entire academic year period. Your role is not to understand each others goals-your role is toward that assignment only.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
Yes I did, and we would also read them, and shared teachers comments. We were friends. I never said you weren't, I asked. You just seemed to have not ever socialized with them. And yeah, we usually had the same team. I would switch days so I could get in different groups. My goal is to become a great leader, not simply a manager.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism Mine was the online environment-one team for five weeks-you did not share grades or teacher comments.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
That makes sense then. I went to a campus. We physically met outside of class as well.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@batestiaful
Pay attention the next time you fill out the fafsa, it says right there what their retention rate is, and since the failed students can't pay it, the United States Tax Payers will. Sad huh, everyone else gets the burden of their mistakes. Just like the tax payers who will pay for smokers, alcoholics, and drug addicts health care.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism
Don't go to UoP!
aMayzism 6 months ago
@aMayzism Yup thats how they roll.........
twistedfocus100 6 months ago
@aMayzism As I stated I went to both brick-and-mortar, and UoP...so your post is still false in the allegations made by you. And for the record UoP is a respected University. ....and by the way, it is not $400/per credit hour try again on that one as well. Better yet, don't try to mislead someone who has earned degrees in both areas because you will be caught and brought out in the misgivings.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
Sure they require you to uphold a certain GPA and attendance to maintain your loans, but they also hand out decent grades for mediocre work like candy.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism Wrong! Yet again you are not posting the facts. Not once did I receive a grade that I did not earn...and your monkey and candy statement basically reflects that it is you that has the issue...perhaps reading the fine print (as you state) might be the way to go. And as a matter of fact, a lot of colleges (local and state) do not require ACT nor SAT to get in; however, most high schools provide these before you leave high school. Community colleges do not require them either.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful
So UNLV, a state university currently giving me a due date to provide my scores, doesn't require them? FYI, you can't get a bachelor's at a community college. I am truly posting facts. Want substantial evidence, I have plenty of e-mail correspondences with my financial adviser, and the people who mustered up reasons to suspend me.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism
The only way to get out of having to have SAT or ACT scores is if you already have credits in college math, and English composition.
aMayzism 7 months ago
@aMayzism Yeah right, mustard up reasons to suspend you. Really? You complain that it is a profit motive for them to receive financial gain from every student, now you claim that they just make things up to ensure they do not receive any more financial gain from you is that it? Now that is an oxy-moron right there. And I am truly posting facts as well.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful

@Theteapartytruther1 : The bottomline is that UOP degrees are excepted by fortune 500 comapanies and that is the bottom-line. There are many students left in debt becasue where the problem is with profit schools, is that they accept people who would not even make it in a traditional face-to-face school. .

@LeighFeatherstone Employers are not going to hire someone with a degree from University of Phoenix over another accredited institution. Students won't be able to find a job and will default on their massive loans. I know 5 people this has happened to. Their lives are ruined because their credit is completely diminished.
tytheeman20 7 months ago
@tytheeman20 Well then sue the employers for thinking,as such or maybe your thinking as such. Perhaps the five people were not even qualified to enter the major they chose.....no experience, arrest records, bad resume, job jumpers, etc. To blame the degree is way off base. You do know what they say about presumption right?
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful Nope. They graduated at the top of their class. Two of them graduated summa cum laude. It's not presumption. You can do what you want. I'm just telling you experiences that were told to me.
tytheeman20 7 months ago
@tytheeman20 This is what someone "told you" not something that you experienced yourself...I attended UoP and graduated so I know first hand.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful Ok and I'm with those people almost everyday so I know firsthand the effects of these crappy degrees.
tytheeman20 7 months ago

She quit after that.
twistedfocus100 1 year ago 7
@twistedfocus100 That too is not correct...I have gone to both brick-and-mortar, and online universities...and both credits transfer out.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful Your lucky or the school you transfer to is not that high credited... Wasted two years on UOP, just to have to take classes over again.... My Community collage wouldn't take most credits from them.... Boise State wouldn't take any from them...
twistedfocus100 6 months ago
@twistedfocus100 I would say that Rutger's University in Camden New Jersey is highly credited....so your statement fell flat on it's own face there. All but two classes transfered from University of Phoenix.
batestiaful 6 months ago
@batestiaful well I'm just telling my story..... Not making this shit up... my wife worked for them as well.... Trust me I know how UOP works. All I can say is your lucky. They are not credited like you think. do some research.
twistedfocus100 6 months ago
I was attending UOP, i am trying to get out..but the thing is that they are telling me i can't or else i will have "Financial problems" I am on student loans, but i usually get money from a Pell Grant, which i never saw... Can someone give me advice??
tinykikis 1 year ago
@tinykikis I feel so bad for you :(, i was going to attend devry after leaving high school but did some research(lots of it research hard) it would be a waste of cash. When you go to apply for a job schools like this they take as a joke :[ But if you are on student loans i say you leave now and stop giving them more money day by day and start paying them back. Also enroll your self in a community college for 2 years(easy on pockets) and transfer into a 4 years school and get your bachelors.
MADMILLION2 1 year ago
@tinykikis they are swindling you the take out these loans and grants without your permission and send you big dissberment checks to make it look good cause they know people like free money my advice to you is get out while you can are really will be stuck with a big bill like me on my loans I owe seventeen thousand dollars and work a restaurant job and can not pay them back it would have been worse if I did not with drawl asap.
Praisewarrior21 1 year ago
@Praisewarrior21 Again another lie....you the student fill out the loans and sign them online or via mail....you know that you are obtaining federal funding for college.
batestiaful 7 months ago
@batestiaful yeah and most federal funding like grants and things should be free but not to them they make up stupid rules that are in fine print that say if you drop out of class you have to pay it all back in full. including the classes you missed what a load of crap I work a minim wage job how the heck do they excpect me to pay all that back etc.
Praisewarrior21 7 months ago
@Praisewarrior21 Perhaps your failure to actually read the fine print was your fault. I don't care where you go to college, if you drop out you have to pay that back (grants included). It has been that way for every college regardless where you go.
batestiaful 7 months ago

@nikki51572 The thing is, you cannot bring down a legitimate business corporation in the United States. Bottom line, it's "Your own damn fault." You get what you pay for, and it's not what you expect all the time. People know better, if you want real accreditation, and can't get into a 4 year institution, then do it the right way, go to a city college and transfer your ass out into a 4 yr institution.

odsnavy 1 year ago
@nikki51572 For profit schools in general should be avoided at all cost. They are there only for a reason, they are there to attract stupid students who couldn't make it into college, and just want a degree the faster and cheaper way. True college students make it into a real institution, and don't bullshit around with for profit schools. And when you go to a for profit school, you will only get an entry level position (assistant), but most of the time you don't get a job at all.
odsnavy 1 year ago
Everyone needs to avoid this horrible school. This school gets an A in being stupid.
joshuarayborn 1 year ago
This school serves it's purpose, the whole point is to go to this school to get an undergrad degree quickly if you have the money. Than because it is regionally accredited, you go to a grad school with a well known name and/or program and graduate with a masters. That is what smart people do, I know this because I went to grad school at UC Domingas Hills with my phoenix degree. NO employer will ask where u got ur BA at when you have a masters.
blueyourmom123 1 year ago
@blueyourmom123 UofP is a for profit school, none of their credits are transferable to a recognized well known college. UCDH didn't even make it into the national rankings, wonder why? Try taking those credits from UofP to UCLA or USC, guarantee they will laugh at you first, then ask if this is a joke. So GTFO #FAIL
odsnavy 1 year ago
@odsnavy Try taking most credits to UCLA or USC and they will laugh at you. Grad school has more to do with the program and less to do with the school. GTFO FAIL? really, whether your right or wrong, your still kind of a douche
blueyourmom123 1 year ago
@blueyourmom123 Grad school REQUIRES you to have GRE; SAT; GMAT; etc. scores, plus pre-reqs, and at least three (3) or more references, along with a solid required GPA from an ACCREDITED COLLEGE/ UNIVERSITY! If this is true of U of P, then it is quite unfair for students who are true geniuses on this planet. Stupid fucking students that waste space in colleges will only FAIL in the future. NO SHORT CUTS! Call me what you want, but the facts are there.
odsnavy 1 year ago
@blueyourmom123 Oh and another thing, people taking other classes in college that has nothing to do with their majors and complain about it, are not meant to be in college. You take other courses to broaden your mind and your heart, you allow yourself to be open minded, and grow as a human being. That is what college/university can offer that no fucking for profit school can give.
odsnavy 1 year ago
@odsnavy Or it gives those who are due a leg up in life. I served four years in the army and am now a police officer in california. When the fuck was I suppose to go to school, I got my phoenix degree in the military. Are you telling me that in return for my service they gave me a useless peice of paper. You have a lot of time to hang out and research go serve your country.
blueyourmom123 1 year ago
@blueyourmom123 Exactly, you went to the army because you had no other choice left when you couldn't get into college. And yes, you got a useless piece of paper from U of P, where other major corporations wont bother to look at. And now your a cop, nothing more. Anyone without a college degree can be a cop. And I did serve my country, got my BS from Cambridge and recently got my MS at UCLA. Today, I research for a major drug company in one of USC's hospitals. That's what real college can give U
odsnavy 1 year ago
@odsnavy Your a liar, you did not go to cambridge, you never went to UCLA and USC only has USC Medical center And I will call your bluff because I am constatnly in the ward on the 13th floor doing transfers and will call your bluff.

@blueyourmom123 Cambridge is in UK, and USC has two major hospitals in Los Angeles you dimwit, and another one will be bought out as the third! Call me what you want dorkus, you #FAIL at calling others bluff just because you suck at a college level. Wow, what a goof.
odsnavy 1 year ago
@odsnavy let me get this straight, some jackass who trolls the internet on UoP video's from alabama with a confederate flag on his page got into cambridge than went to UCLA and now works in the medical field but has the oddest hobby of trolling UoP videos on the ineternet. Whether you want to believe it or not, even if that was all true, you are stil a douche.

@blueyourmom123

I put some comments up for fun when my friend was over at my house.
blueyourmom123 1 year ago
I went to the UOP for about a year and completed my GE classes there, however decided to transfer back to my local community college and then transfer to a four-year uni. I was able to transfer only 9 of the 30 total units that I completed at UOP and still had to retake some courses. For all of you considering going to UOP do your RESEARCH and ASK QUESTIONS before you enroll.
After completing my classes at my community college I was able to transfer to UCLA as an Art History major.
valrk247 1 year ago
@valrk247 Of course those classes wouldn't transfer, junior colleges and community colleges do not take university level credits... people do not understand. Wikipedia is not research people!
Gwave0 1 year ago
@Gwave0 I was talking about G.E courses not Upper division. When I enrolled at UOP they tols me my units could transfer "anywhere." That was a lie obviously!
valrk247 1 year ago
@Gwave0 Junior Colleges and Community Colleges now have transfer agreements to state universities so students can take upper level courses when pursuing their bachelors/masters. As In Example: Bronx Community College has over 20 transfer agreements to any university in the state of New York. So if I wanna continue my Associates I can transfer to SUNY or any other schools in NY. Its called Pathways to Success! Look it up!

fergfilm 1 year ago 5
@fergfilm I'm not sure if University of Phoenix is legit or not, but all of the complaints in this video are true of college in general. The main complaint was that student loans leave students thousands of dollars in debt. Well, I just graduated from the local community college with my two year degree and I'm 10k in debt with two more years to go just for my bachelor's. But I mean, it's fine. Student loans have low interest and it's one kind of debt that looks good, granted that you pay it.
WarThemedRevolution 1 year ago
@WarThemedRevolution
