WHO CARES?! The event is what matters! The rock of cashel is a wonderful place, ive been there twice, as is the town of cashel. I would have given so much to be at this!
thanks so much for posting this great even in the wee town of Cashel, when one is many miles away from home it is great to see things like this. Long live the kings and may they once more roam across the lands of Ireland without tethers or borders
Thanks for the comment TJ. Great to see over 50,000 people of all races and ages gathered around the famous rock last night, all enjoying the craic and the spectacular fireworks.....
The attendence was actually 20000.The idea of promoting St Patricks weekend to tourists and then holding a major event in a place to which they had no hope of getting to is a bit strange.I like the video though.
The rock of cashel is a great venue for something like this as it is easily accessible. When tourists come to Ireland they don't just stay in Dublin, they travel all around Ireland. Life exists outside Dublin you know...lol!
Then why did only 20000 attend this event? 5 tons of fireworks to entertain such a small number of people? 650000 people were at the Dublin parade most of whom used public transport to get there. Most reports say that it was impossible to see the Rock anyway. Just questioning the thinking behind holding it in Cashel thats all.

hi ikwasere,
Glad there were that many there, brilliant!
