Very interesting how the time frame for this study aligns with the American acquisition/purchase of the Unit 731 program from Japan which was operating inside Chinese borders since the 1930s and ended in the 1945 (end of the war). Any other president would have had to do the same if the news broke on their watch. Just part of politics and image management. Not genuine remorse. And like you say, everyone who should apologize is dead, so better than nothing. Also, "apologised" is correct, in British English.

Very interesting how the time frame for this study aligns with the American acquisition/purchase of the Unit 731 program from Japan which was operating inside Chinese borders since the 1930s and ended in the 1945 (end of the war). America gave all involved in unit 731 crimes legal immunity and then gave them jobs. Because the Guatemala syphilis experiments started in 1946 and ended in 1948 it's suspect to think some from unit 731 were involved in this crime as well.

African slaves can be taken from amongst 'Muslims' however it is usually their non-Muslim neighbours who suffer the constant raiding until they too either convert or are reduced to destitution.. On of the reasons Britain got involved in Africa was the pursuit of the abolishment of slavery..
