@dainlord use window putty. add a clump of it around the mouthpiece, that should sustain better note delivery. it stinks though! you can now get metal 'adaptes' that do the same as the putty, putty is cheaper though and wiil see if this works for you. You should alo stand further back from the mic or / and use a supressor (like foam that is used on pro mics).

Nice job man. One thing though with Monette mouthpieces... Try and breathe a little bit more from the "bottom" of your lungs. What kind of moutpiece is that? A b4? Anyway... The other thing with Monette, is that you dont have to "push" higher notes out. You can relax a little bit ;) - Bryan

thats a nice mouthpiece but for low notes try using jet-tone T2B it will give u thicker sound ;)

Its a monette... Monettes are amazing mouthpieces. Tone quality was good, slightly bright, but okay. Plus microphones always distort trumpets...so that makes a big differance.
