  • Hakeswill finally!!!

  • "D'you know th wife. She knows you. Attend my quaters at seven."

You can see whats going through Sharpe's head! "God, have I just gone and had it off with my Companding Officer's wife!

  • Have any of you ever been on The Sharpe Compendium? It's great!

  • Possibly the greatest headbutt in history.

  • "Permission to carry on and murder him, Sir?"

  • @SyntaxErr00r Your welcome Harper!

  • I'm Harry Price. I was just sick. The drink you see.

    :D

Why couldn't I ever play off my drunkenness so smoothly?

  • @jhk717 There was a reason I hated Pete Pothethwaite, he played Obadiah so well.

  • Pete Postlewaite also played opposite to Rugter Hauer in Split Second ,great monster movie!

  • Pete Postlethwaite, a great actor, see how he plays up to Sean Bean. Obadiah Hakeswill beats men till the wives come to him. And you can believe it.

  • The GREAT Pete Postelwaite. Magnificent actor.

  • 1:38-1:40 sharpe turns round to look at the seargeant the ironside theme tune would go so well with that.

  • 'How much Sen-whora?'

    Hakeswill is awesome.

  • are Sharpe's troop, black dressed, some kind of special forces ?

    I just discovering the serie

  • @lightnessss The Napoleonic era equivalent of "special" forces in the British Army. Sharpe belongs to the 95th sharpshooters regiment and he commands a personal unit known as the "chosen men". The "chosen men" were among the best soldiers in the regiment, hand picked for "special" duties. They could march, shoot, and fight better than the common soldier. So although not the Coldstream Guards, the French Old Guard, etc., elite units, they represented a different type of professional soldier.

  • @lightnessss The 95th dressed in dark green "camoflauge" uniforms with blackened equipment to blend in to various terrain.

  • @HHFD50 thank you sir, great knowlegde

  • @HHFD50 Smarter than being a "lobster" & visible at a distance!

  • @lightnessss Riflemen wore green. They werent really 'special forces', there were whole regiments of riflemen. In the first episode, Sharpes rifleman regiment, the 95th, were wiped out, except the light company he commanded, which was scaled down from a historical 100 to a cost effiecient ten. The light company then became attatched to the South Essex. The chosen men were lance corporals, and historically would not have formed their own little club, this was just for the series.

  • @otherjr thank you sir ;)

  • How come he didn't mark time when he came up against an obstacle at 2:21?? :D

  • I can't stop thinking that this will turn into a musical right there when he yells Antonia and the music starts up

  • what happened to hogan?

  • @PUKANA69 He got cut I guess

  • Cannot stand Hakeswill

    LOVE Postlewaithe!!

  • Peter William Postlethwaite rest in peace

  • R.I.P. Pete Postlethwaite :-(

  • RIP Pete Postlethwaite 7 February 1946 - 2 January 2011, you portrayed Hakeswill so well :(

  • lol i feel sorry for the guy being beatan up

  • harper has a iron head

  • PETE F*CKING POSTLETHWAIT!!! And, Paddy seems to have aquired his famous minigun musket! Shaping up to be an epic episode!

  • Hakeswell, Hogan and Simmerson... the best characters in the sharpe movies! Thumbs up if joo agree!

  • rofl\\

    didnt see harpers headbutt coming

  • who is this guy Hakeswill anyway?

  • @bh5496

Hakeswill was Sharpe's sergeant when Sharpe served as a private in India, and he got Sharpe flogged. He also tried to rape Sharpe's girl (in that particular book anyway).

  • @bh5496 he had sharpe flogged for nothing before

  • 2.40. terrible shun

  • this harper is funny, not charlie harper.this harper

  • it never made sense to me that sharpe didn't just kill hakeswill right when he caught him trying to rape Theresa. I guess he didn't do it for dramatic tension. Too bad!

  • i don't like it when they change actors in sharpe the irish fella was good and solid the old guy is washe up i mean he acts in coronation street which seems to lesser my amusement for waching sharpe

  • more the Irish Kiss, from him

  • That one is called the scottish Kiss.

  • again classic teresa at her best, obadiah hakeswill has just been taught a lesson he won't try and rape her again in a hurry

  • ahhahaha nice headbutt at 4:33

  • "stand up straight. arms down where they they should be. ATTENSHUN!" <kicks him the balls "you see you never move when an officer is talking to you! you should know that by now!"

  • "Permission give to carry on and murder him sir?" right after a Glasgow kiss (ie headbutt). Fuuuuuny.

  • Oh my word what a surprise Sharpie

Its such a shame the novels set in India were never made (Properly - they merged about 3 of them and set it after Waterloo for the last stories - rubbish) into TV films, Obadiah Hakeswill was at his most evil then.

  • @Dessan01 yeah. i think pete posthlewaite does a good job. everytime i read shapre's tiger i can't stop think of sharpe as from yorkshire and sean bean and Hakeswilll as pete

  • @Dessan01 Didn't really matter if they had it before or after the Napoleonic Wars, India was still there.

  • Harper Headbut!

  • Im Harry Price, i was just sick!

    Hahahahahahahaaaaaa Fantastic!

  • Peter Postehwaite is an excellent actor.

  • ya he is

  • peter postlethwaite really does a good job of making a very hateable character here

  • Witch episode do Hakeswill die in?

  • "Sharpe's Enemy"

  • well in the books, he dies in sharpes enemy

  • lol hakeswill the "loveable" rogue can someone plz tell me which episode he appears in first

  • You should read about Hakeswill in the books... I hated him before I saw the episode =p

  • he was much more sinester in the books, and twice as ugly

  • twice as ugly I will believe, but even uglier? is that even possible?

  • Read the book ;-) And you'll know.

  • I want to, but there not very easy to find over here. I can order them, but I am not too sure with which book to start. Perhaps I'll start with rifles as I do not really care for the India bit.

  • Hmm, I can't really help you, I'm from Belgium and we only have 2 of the books. I found them both in the library.

  • Right, I am Dutch. The library. I haven't even thought of that. I will give it a try.

  • Goed idee. Handig gebouw om in de buurt te hebben ;-)

  • lol hakeswill the "loveable" rogue can someone plz tell me which episode he appears in first

  • This one, Aron.

  • 3:20, I love how Harper's always watching Sharpe's back. x]

"Ooh, you see, you don't move when an officer's talking to ya. You should know that."

Ah, that made me laugh entirely too hard. x'D

  • @DearGirlMoonLoon 'Your mother was a bogs ridden sow hord herself to a toad'

I've got to use that some day!

  • I like the bit where paddy puts that bad ass down with a nut! mint!

  • How does sharpe now hakeswell?

    at 1.50

  • He and sharpe go back a long way. In the books he's in Sharpe's Tiger.

  • lol i was hoping he would of walk into the wall

  • bloody obadire i hate that cunt and shadrak bikkerstaff!! god dammit i cant wait to see obadire slain¬!

  • Learning was never Hagewell's strong point.

  • Love it. Thank you!

  • Sharpe should have split his gullet when he had the chance - I can't figure out why Sharpe didn't kill the bugger when he had good cause, attempted rape of Theresa. Script always finds a way to get rid of Sharpe's women so new lady love can come into the plots, but it keeps the story lively.

  • thanks for the live action video - I like it so much more than just pix and music

    colleen

  • i hate obadiah right down to the crust he is so mean.

  • I agree and love your remark about "hating him down to the crust"

Did you see episode when Hakeswell is shot to death at firing squad? Sharpe calls him "not human, he is an IT, not a human". Big bummer when Theresa was killed by Hakeswell, what a rotten break - Theresa is my favorite of Sharpe's women, the best of the bunch.

    colleen

  • hmmm he is the perfect villian no one can sympathise with him.and theresa is the best of his wemen the only one who doesn't actually need sharpe. I hate the fact she dies trying to save the woman her husband sleeps with... is there no justice?

  • These are great.

PLEASE UPLOAD THE REST OF SHARPE'S COMPANY! Merry Christmas!

  • Why don't you like Theresa? She's courageous, brave and everyone respects her. IMHO, she's the very best out of all Sharpe's women. She DOES wear a dress in one scene, different epsisode she's in the city w/ her family, all dressed up very fancy. But since when does wearing a dress make you a "lady"? Come on, she's a soldier, can't fight in battle in a dress. She isn't a tramp, she has aristocratic title from a leading Spanish family.

  • It is a TV show you're talking about, not a real person. Regardless - what a loser thing to say, as if she needs or wants your respect.

  • You suck cause I happen to like her.

  • obadiah is low class villain indeed...

  • I wish Teresa slid his throat right then and there!!!!!XD
