@samnella9 Hi, I feed them a variety of food, dry, frozen and fresh. Make sure they have plenty of vegetable content. In the video they are going mad over algae wafers. :)
@kumarsa108 thanks. What type of fish (not the rainbows) are those with the black horizontal stripe that run from head to tail and has a red dorsal fin ? And what type of filtration are you running. i have a 120g (us) with a fluval 405 and 2 emperor 400's.
@samnella9 those are Puntius denisoni (Redline Torpedo barbs/Roseline sharks). They grow to 6", but you will usually buy young farm bred ones that are about 2". Filtration on that tank was Eheim 2080, Fluval Fx5 and 2x Tetratec ex1200s. 120g is a good size tank for rainbows. :)
@UnIngerPierdut Hi, yes that is right. I dont have these ones anymore, but i am rearing up some young M.boesmani "Aitinjo". I have them from a breeder and know the strain is pure. They are more intensely coloured although slightly smaller than the Ayamaru strain.
@Mooselette Hi, thank you for the comment. I am not sure which fish you mean. Do you mean the fish with yellow tail spots, single black stripe running the whole length of body and single red stripe on top upto about 1/3 body length? if so that is the Torpedo barb (Puntius denisoni).
@alber207 Hello, thank you for the comment. The blue rainbows are called Melanotaenia lacustris "Lake Kutubu Rainbowfish". They are quite common, but do not show these colours in dealers tanks, but only when fully mature and settled.
@garljr That fish is called the Rummy Nose Tetra.
