@ChoKoShiv United Cutlery still claims to be using 1090 High Carbon steel. Master Cutlery's website says they are using 1060. Where has it been stated that United Cutlery has started using 1060 like Master Cutlery?
I can't find anything that says United has switched to 1060.
@KlaseTube Maybe the 1060 versions were just for a limited time or something. At any rate, it's a good thing that they're using 1090 again. Thanks for doing the research and looking into it. I appreciate it.
Oh, and here's an older catalog description: "This is the knife everyone has been talking about all year! Designed by Gil Hibben for Sylvester Stallone to be used in the hit motion picture and the Blade Magazine cover story. The knife offers one solid piece of 1060 carbon steel."
@ChoKoShiv Yes , I agree it's definitely a good thing they're using 1090 again. I would've felt let down if I had got a 1060 version. I wonder if they heat treat these babies?
@KlaseTube Actually, I made a mistake; they make them out of 1060 now (not 1040 like I said in the vid.) They were originally made out of 1090 (like mine in the vid.) I'm not sure why they changed it. You have to look on the box to see which version you've got. I have two different ones; one that's 1090 (the one in the vid) and the 1060 version.
Well shit fire and save the matches... That knife is "cut a fart in half" sharp... LOL nice vid and stay sharp brother.

You should have stripped the paint off it...then put the knife in a pot of boiling vinegar...till the blade turns BLUE. It would look sweet!

Where did you hear they're being made out of 1040 steel?
