Ahhhh, Jessie Eisenberg's sister (Hallie). I liked her a lot back then, so I think the trailer was cute. But yeah, it was longer than it should have been.
I barely remember this sh**y trailer, but then again, I only saw this once, and never again, thankfully. They went right back to the roller coaster after disposing this crap.
Fantastic, a lost bit of my childhood that I desperately tried to forget. I will gladly take part in some of that civic pride, however. I'd expect no less out of my home city.
Do you have the Pepsi ad with Barbie and Ken that played in the theatres around 2001? I have a friend who remembers that ad and I'd love to show it to her.
Cute commercial, by the way. Dubbing the Pepsi girl with Jack Palance is a nice touch.
Growing up in the 90s, such a wonderous time :3 I would see this a number of times whenever I went to my local theater, I almost forgot all about it...until now.
Nope, never saw this one... and I'm 41, heh... and in response to karunadreamer0, the pre-movie blurb I got tired of was Jean-Claude Van Damme talking about movie making "in new and exciting ways" for a Los Angeles Times commercial... ugh!
LOL portland. *raises hand* i remember how everyone got so effing sick of seeing this by the end of the summer that they were booing and throwing popcorn and trash and shit whenever it came on. but since regal bought out like EVERY theater in Portland, i think we got more sick of it than others.
Funny how fast things change..smoking(though i never saw anyone lighting up) and beepers were a problem in 2000..now it's strictly texting and ringtones.
@Razersun When I worked at Regal Natomas I saw one of the 'assistant managers' giving some guy she brought along a BJ while she was supposed to be screening a print. She probably still works there, but I had to go because I didn't want to change their stupid common-width screens to Flat during intermission so their stupid ads could be on a bigger screen than the movie.
I have to thank them though- now I'm finishing school and will be making REAL money soon.
I have a couple unused 35mm trailers of this- I worked for a year at that godawful company and the experience was enough to make me get out of the theater business altogether. (4 seconds of green-band at the beginning of a preview was a waste of time, but THIS WASN'T???)
The multi-channel mix on this was pretty cool- it was on the VHS tapes they played in the lobby too, but those were in mono.
even commercials used to have a plot-_____- fuck modern day commercials and their shity comedy.

Worked at Regal when this ad started running. Got so many complaints about how boring it was. Never thought I'd see it again!

Yeah I've seen this. As soon as I saw the girl I remembered it.

I bet this would have worked better if the girl sounded like a grown woman instead of a grown man.

I agree with the uploader. I absolutely hated this and wanted them to bring back the roller coaster intro and thankfully they finally have :)

is that the girl from THE EXORCIST?
TheVinman210 1 year ago
@TheVinman210 You're thinking of Linda Blair, hehe. It was actually Hallie Kate Eisenberg who was the Pepsi Girl during the '90s.

Does Anybody Know Who's Voice That Is?

@Rev48954 It's Jack Palance. He starred in the 1989 film Batman as crime boss Carl Grissom, and did a great job of it too. :)
