This was sooo bis ib the mid eighties! Gadzooks! My wife and I lived in Europe in the eighties when this was big - like living in Europe in WW II - there will never be such a time! Ahem, till NOW!
Great nostalgia...from an era when you had to send a letter or make a phone call to communicate (no email!), when you had to exchange pounds for francs to visit Paris from London (no ATMs for your Brit credit card)...where you had to visit a travel agent to buy tickets...when your friends were people you knew in person not from the internet...when you had to wait for your favourite record to be played on radio or buy it and play it on your record player...GOOD TIMES!!!
La dolce vita came with the best decade of music, the 80 s. thanks derleitwolf1 and youtube team for make happy all the 80 s world people thanks and god bless you.
They need to teach this in public schools or we will be in the dark ages of... pop culture; which in itself is a very important part of human history. Plus those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat, as exhibited in the 80's sound in our new music - which is an okay thing.
Otherwise, I love this song and never knew about cuz I was born several years after this was made.
Fab song, takes me right back to my first girly holiday in Calella - had to buy the record to take home (still have it somewhere, but nothing to play it on!) Great memories, thanks for posting it x
I love this song! I first heard it while traveling in Europe in '85--and I thought at first that he was singing about a "dog-shipping town"! LOL! I eventually figured out it was "dolce vita", but didn't know who sang it until just recently.

Damn this is such a good song, particularly compared to the crap that youngsters are abused with today. Music almost died in the nineties.
