What made You Tube so popular and valuable to start with is the wild west anything goes angle.
Now it's just another relatively tame corporate vehicle. Yes, still a cool outlet for some creativity and yes, better than nothing...but worth 1.65 Bil? LOL
Heheh, thank you! I think you will like my other "editorial" videos, although sadly I've lost a little bit of my optimism lately. You'll see what I mean when you get around to my "YouTube vs TheyTube" video. Thanks so much for the comment! Hope you like my ghost stories too :)
I hope they dont get rid of Naruto all the fanboys like myself will riot kill everyone in the google office and cut of some parts only guys have how else am i gonna get my naruto wake for americia to catch up hell no there not even on ep 60 while on 208 do the math 1 ep every week 60-208 thats alot of waitin
Good point about the future, but did you have permission from RIAA to use "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by "Tears For Fears" (c)1985
Google is very high profile and has lots of CASH. It will be a HUGE taget for MPAA/RIAA to "prove" yet another point for people that borrow samples of their media...
Congrats to YouTube guys for cashing in, but be ready to jump ship!
Hehe, I didnt, but maybe Google will. That is one of my predictions; they'll continue striking deals with major copyright holders so that guys like me can keep using background music. (Btw, even if they didnt, background music is considered "fair use", but thats besides the point) B) I think the ones who will lose are the videos copyrighted to minor players that Google wont go dealmaking after. We shall see! B)
nice video, cool way to share your POV. I hope you're right - I generally trust google as (at least yet) they've not done anything to make me distrust them. This will be an interesting challenge though, I hope they don't get forced to take down too much stuff. eg: I couldn't watch Colbert Report if it wasn't on youtube as sadly it's not shown on TV in the UK.
Well I think Google and Comedy Central could strike a deal so that we get their shows here.. it makes sense since everybody benefits from it. But some other copyright holders may not agree.. those I think, will be the ones whose content goes down. Just my speculation, thanks for the comment!
there are way to many greedy copyright holders that will never agree... i think...for example the infamous 4Kids who thinks they have the right for the original One Piece.
I will never forgive the bastards for editing the best anime ever. Stupid Arrogant 4Kids that don't know to respect japanese culture.
Wow, another one? Cuz I got the one from Channel 4 in the UK.. I'll be posting it as a response soon. Hehe, cool, newspeople like my doodles, it seems!
I am thinking about anime .... but any way youtube blocked a lot of anime videos like "pretty cure" and it has many problems with toei animation and tv tokyo so wait closing all video from youtube before it buy its website to google
anyway google has little videos about doremi and many anime series and I don't think it will close them becose they give them money too
Well, if Google can acquire the rights to show anime here in YouTube, i think that would be best for everybody, everyone would be happy. But if that happens, all I would ask is to keep the original works separate. See my other video about "Two Proposals" to see what I mean.
Well more users means we'll get more of -all- kinds of people, so yeah, we'll have new haters, but we'll have new good folks too. If nothing is done, one thing kinda cancels out the other one, but there -are- things YouTube could do. Click on "More from this user" and see the "Two Proposals" video, from FableForge too.
Personally, I dont exactly hate anime, but I just wish it was kept separate from original works in YouTube. As it is today, you spend weeks working on an original project, and the day you publish it it instantly gets buried under a pile of Narutos that each took two clicks to rip off a DVD and come in five-part installments. No fair.
Touche! But no, background music is generally considered "fair use" under the law, that is, if Google doesnt strikes a deal with Universal for the rights anyway. Otherwise, yeah, glad you got this in time before its gone tomorrow :) Thanks for the comment.
I don't like Gootube, but if they ban Naruto, they will be doing us a favor. :)

Geez... I just can't get over the fact that people out there think Google's just gonna turn YouTube into plain crap.
I liked your video and congrtulations for being open-minded... I'll watch your animations later. I'm bookmarking your profile page, now.
Good video...
Go, Google, go! You'll make YouTube a better place :) (not that it's any bad right now, but... oh well, I'm rambling now, so bye...)
