  • Great stuff - was wondering if I'd ever get to see this - his first work in 1968 following his post-Prisoner disappearance act. Of the two stories used here, the best by far is "The New People" (the 2nd one).

  • can not believe i came across this, thanks so much for posting it, this is one video i dont have in my library. love him at this age!

  • roll those r's, paddy! the paddy is the coolest man ever to walk the face of the planet. just sayin'.

  • Great hosting by McGoohan! The Journey To The Unknown episodes in this TV movie were "Paper Dolls" and "The New People" - note the happy ending tacked on in his closing narration....

  • @gummboote Yep, I just did notice LOL Wonder what previously creeped-out viewers thought about it...

  • Mr. McGoohan's delivery is quite scary

  • I LOVE the talent that was embodied in this man...he is one of the best actors of all time...even his side projects...such as with his good friend Peter Falk in Columbo..which he stared in and directed a handful of...just amazeing...thankx for posting this..

  • I agree totaly that he could read the phone book and I would be mesmorized. Patrick McGoohan was magic as an actor. He should have been knighted, one of the BEST actors ever.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I absolutely adored this man, such a fine gentleman, so nice to find other fans :-)

  • There were a couple of other TV movies made of Journey To The Unknown episodes in the same way, with different presenters. One was hosted by Joan Crawford (!), another by Sebastian Cabot. If JTTU ever comes out on DVD these links would make a great special feature.

  • @sjbrez Joan Crawford had the honour of hosting 2. That honour should have gone to Patrick McGoohan --- The Greatest Actor Of All Time.' Ice Station Zebra' gives us a fascinating glimpse into an alternative universe in which McGoohan becomes 'A-list' and persues a career of blockbusters. No one else would have had a look in, so he did a magnanimous thing!

  • What a voice man!!!!! Mesmerizing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YEAH ESCAPE THE TERROR NUMBER SIX!!

  • This looks brilliant. Does anyone know if its available in full anywhere?

  • Haven't seen this in years. McGoohan looks like he's really enjoying himself.

  • Thank you so much for that, great to see!

I agree... he could say absolutely anything and my attention wouldn't waiver :P

  • I'm willing to bet the actual stories weren't a patch on the introduction ;)

Nice to know that some things are not lost. Just mislaid. Thanx for posting.
