This is why Stravinsky is a genius and has taste.This period where peopl wrote bad Poulenc sounding stuff Strav he never indulged.Maybe i just don't like light circus festive stuff.shostakovich concerto aint a favorite.Gubaidulina and Sh 3 concerti are good russian works. the rhythms are so evocative of the shostakovich.It's kina neat. well da audience liked it.happy.

Definitely reminiscent of Prokofiev's fabulous 1st piano concerto in parts.

Even though it much resembles something of Shostakovich,

I still think it's a work of Galynin's own individuality.

A great work in its own right.
