@Roxygirl1188, glad you liked it. It was good fun making it. Just ad-libbed it without much preparation it's just me goofing off being my own silly me.
I think its hilarious that they make a squeezable Sigmund Freud head for stress relief.
This was so funny. I love the expressions when you used the controller.
The Commodore Tape drive was FUCKING horrendous!!! This is why the Disk drive was pushed in the US as hard as it was, because Commodore KNEW how awful that thing was.
The C2N was a device straight from the deepest pits of hell. The 1541 disk drive was VERY expensive in Europe. It's insane to think that it is almost a C64/Vic-20 in it's own right with a similar CPU, RAM etc.
5.25" disks were very expensive over here. I actually made due with the tapedrive for quite a long time and only got a 1541 (I got three now) after about a year and a half into the experience.... :P
Yes, overripe Bananas are a pain, but Banana loving flies, millions of the little shits, are worse, evil in fact, cause I hate killing em when they eats my Bananas :(
@Atombat, yeah those fruit flies are the pits. They do multiply very rapidly. I remember in highschool we had to genetic research on those little critters. Wild Type, Curly wings, red eyes bla bla.
Absolutely horrible when you got them in the house as they will drive you insane!
lol funny vid ... i tought that was funny very creative mark , you and marlinlee crack me up ..lol ..almost spit out my tea..by the way that music who is that ...cool :D
yeah i remember i went to a club and they played this song & the break dancers were breakin' i got real motivated , remember i have break dance in decades
so i step up did a little foot werk got up and pose breaker style they all looked at me and at each other ..yeah they gave me props ..very cool moment ..thanks for the memories mark you rock :D
I do indeed Mark, im not as isolated as yourself but im a lot happier here than in the city, i hate city life and wouldn't able to handle it now if i went back lol everyones so unfriendly and miserable lol Where i am now people say good morning, i never had that happen in the city lol
I just can't stand failing hardware. But I am more and more looking into repairing stuff. LukeMorse1 and Thomas3120 show how you can fix things with your Saulder iron, a couple of caps, resistors and what have you.
As a project I am going to try to repair my two broken Vectrex machines (Vectrices ???) with my father in law who has been an electrical engineer at Philips (solid state video and what have you) so I'll learn from the best! :)
I've just just started looking more into fixing stuff too. I recently got a soldering iron a few weeks ago and attempted to fix 2 PS2 controllers, by replacing the worn out left analogue sticks with new ones.
One of the controllers I managed to fix (on my first attempt), and is now working like brand new, the 2nd controller, I actually broke it somehow while trying to repair it.
Yeeeeahh, the joystickpart was very fun! :-D

I have three of those tape drives, only one of them works... barely.
shaurz 2 years ago
@Shaurz, got even more. Even a black C16/Plus4 one with a different plug.
Actually the most reliable tape drive was a third party slipstream one that I bought with my Vic-20. It loads VIC-20 tapes and C64 tapes just fine.
Had to adjust/replace the belt several times and did a lot of cleaning the heads.
Nowadays people just would not put up with that sort of crap any more... or do we?
Well as a retrogamer I do whenever I want to play my old tape games. :(

@Techromancer1, the music is a very very short clip from the Ninja Tuna Album Mr Scruff. I should actually credit him.
It's a music sample found in Windows 7.

@SteveBenway, glad I made you laugh. I'm not sure what I look like for real when playing - perhaps it's not so exaggerated even.....

@MaximumRD, LOL yep making faces was actually the first thing I did. You should see the face I pulled right after I was born.

@Snestastic: Pete, I am glad you liked it. It's so very true, I do live in the middle of nowhere. I believe you do to?
Can you imagine what would happen if I continued to live in the city? Tons of broken consoles and joysticks...... :P
It's all a matter of self preservation.... or preservation of my gaming collection. :P

wow nice! ik heb geen controllers gebroken, maar wel Game Consoles! ik was n keer zo boos dat ik m'n GBA had vernield! (schermpje gebroken)
pokerockmario123 2 years ago
Ouch, dat doet pijn. Was het zo'n GBA SP of was het zo'n ouderwetse GBA zonder verlichting?
Waarschijnlijk die met het schermpje - kan je ook te ver doorbuigen.... Whoops....

nee het was die oudere.

I'm like you, I don;t get pissed off so much with games, it's more the hardware repeatedly failing or not working properly.
