  • If I bought this as my first big bike, I would be truly disappointed the moment I started it up. I'm not saying it's a bad bike, but god they sound awful.

  • this bike in orange is the best

  • I'm 6'2 and yes I find this bike too small for me..

  • £5000..the kawasaki website is saying £5999 otr, have prices really gone up that much in 2 years?!

  • He just admitted to doing 90mph on the motorway. A somewhat dubious statement given his body habitus, but either way the police have a video confession.

  • @Petesawido God, you're such a sweetie. The NWO will LOVE you! Worry not: you and your kids will be fine in that regime....no probs! Good pension....and a FUTURE!

  • i wish i could buy this monster .

  • Where's he going when he walks off at the end?

  • holy moly, ronnie o'sullivan doing bike reviews

  • I owned this bike and I'm just lovi'n it everyday! The upward riding position makes you ride longer and happier as it doesn't hurt your back and wrist like supersports. The 2-inline engine though not as powerful as 4-inline but the 72hp always deliver the excitement commuting either in high or low rev. You can view my ER6F top speed in my video gallery.

  • Honestly if you don't plan on breaking speed limits you have zero reason to get a superbike other than to park it at the mall and hang out in your leathers hoping some piece of ass is stupid enough to ask you for a ride.

Now if you want a bike because you actually enjoy riding every day, these are much better bikes. Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone, if you can control your right hand, you might still want a superbike. But for 9 out of 10 out there, this is more than enough

  • @DESTROYERSTUBE THANK YOU! Well said sir.. And to add I can corner just as well as a supersport on mine if not better becase I dont have to keep my powerband in the 11K RPM range. SS bikes have to change gears through turns and I dont. Yes it will smoke the para tiwn on a straight but this bike certainly holds its own and for a great price. Some power pilot 2's and youre golden. The stock bridgestone suck.

  • @andy2964 Yeah? I noticed the stocks are pretty narrow for a sportbike, can you easily fit a wider tire like the inline 4's have?

  • @DESTROYERSTUBE the widest you can go is 170. The larger the tire doesnt mean the better the grip. Stay with me here...Watch a Motard take corners and do it very quickly with probably a 120-130. This is due to less time it take to have the bike on the side of the tire instead of having to travel a longer distance with a 180+. Ideally the difference between a 160-180 is not going to affect perforance thats noticable. People start putting 200-300's w/ swingarm and their bike turns into shit.

  • i dont know.... USD forks keep the bike from looking cheap, no offense, in fact i want this bike except for the forks....

  • it's not vibration free......

the mirrors start to shake about 50mph

  • so far i've tried many models..cbr600,yzf-r6 n er6f..for me,if u want to go fast,get a cbr600 or yzf-r6..BUT,if u want a comfortable n yet enjoyable ride,get a er6f..

anyway,i still thinking, why don't america produce their own ER bike?coz it seems to me they are too much critics..damn

simple xmple..about cars..made in usa cars need to get a huge c.c engine to get fast BUT japanese cars?they put on turbocharger or some kind of booster..isn't it look they are much brilliant?

    aprilia and ducati..

  • @tellemfans I believe the name Erik Buell should come to mind. He did build an EX/ER class bike. It was a 500cc single cyl called the "Blast". Nobody bought them in enough numbers to make any money.

  • If u dunno what bike to buy just design a top 5 when u took the other 30 bikes u looked at off ur list when comparing specs and other factors. U really gotta look at atleast a dozen bikes before u just gonna go off buy one or you could be missing out on something real good. N then just take the top couple of bikes u interested in out for a test drive or rent one for a day rather than wanting a bike to be ready waiting for u when u get ur permit thats just childish stupidity

  • I HATE CONVENTIONAL FORKS

  • @bandguy360 WHY?

I mean... why is it such a pain in the ass on this bike? (I have one, and i actually didn't think of it before later when i saw somebody comment it)

  • hi, I stand 5-foot. will you suggest this bike for me. I am experience with smaller bikes @ around 100cc and want to try my hand at bigger bikes for country side cruising

  • the top speed not high

  • i sat on a white one 2day there really light . will be my next bike when i get off learner licence

  • i bought one of these for my first bike. its decent for what it is. now have a yamaha r6 and its waaay better.

  • I was thinking of buying on but I don't know if I should, anyone have advice for buying? I'm 6' 2" so it might be small

  • This man should be 1.50m tall...

  • Sold :)

  • i own an 2009 er6n without the fairing and its very difficult to ride without the fairing. is it possible to fix an er6f fairing onto my er6n? Thanks everyone.

  • What?! They put ABS on the 650r over in Europe? Again Kawasaki shows how it doesn't seem to like the USA because the 650r doesn't have ABS as an option over here.

Oh, and yes it's the same bike as the ER-6F, just labeled Ninja 650R here in the States. Seems like a great bike, it's on my list as a possible upgrade from the EX250 I ride now. You can find a ton of mods for them to improve long distance comfort making it an even better mid-size "sport-tourer" type of bike.

  • @kain35m

Unless this was the case 4 months ago, the ER-6F is NOT the Ninja 650R. The Versys seems to be the ER-6F.

  • @bobaab uk differences

  • that say's alot about your personality harmonicgrunt

  • thanks☺☺

  • i rode this bike for one day (while mine was in for reperature) and need to say: it's pure crap - almost everything about it was crap, the engine, the handling, the sound, the look, ... disliked it a lot

  • Suzuki Gladius dealer ?:)....

  • Well I have ER6n 2007 and I think ther is no crap details for me exept maybe this front light. The ride, handling, brakes is/are enough for me. I test for example XJ6 naked diversion and no thrill at all. It was slow&boring... I also have manage to try strtripl675 and ther is not so much difference either.

I'm pleased with my bike but I'm slowly starting to look for something new like new Z1000 2010.

  • whats he doing? going 90mph down the motrway lol

  • I am ordering this bike, in black with ABS. I'll put sport bars and it'll be perfect

  • What kind of bike do you ride? It may very well have to do with the peg positioning. Maybe a more upright bike would help you out.

  • want this bike, but i have really anoying prob with my leg: only in the riding on a motorbike situation, I begin, after around 2-3hrs of ridng, to get this awful pain (stabing) in my left knee joint! Anyone else get that? my instuctor was none too sympathetic back during training, but he would have been if he knew what it feels like! Then as soon as i dismount, the pain is gone! If the pegs on this bike are high, requiring more bending of knees, i guess im going to pass on this one.

  • It sounds like the seat is putting pressure on the Syatic (sp?) nerve. It's the nerve that runs down the inside of your thigh to your leg. Try putting some different padding on the seat or just stop every 2 hours and walk around for 10 minutes...

  • the pain is actually in my knee-cap area, and not where the seat touches my leg. I think I know what it is because I found a medical conditiion that some people have to varying degrees. its something to do with the bone touching, or pressing into nerves around and in the knee cap area. Looked it up around a yr ago, am hazy on the medical terms. think one way of beating it: use a tight knee support. I wouldnt have even known of the condition if I hadnt have ridden bike for hrs on end; funny.

  • I origionaly thought it was riding for 4+ hrs without stopping, but considering my instuctor was 20 yrs older than me and riding without any pain whatsoever (and riding the same bike), it hit home that maybe I had a problem of some kind. Apprently this condition is something to do with the knee being bent. The legs have to straighten out, otherwise, this pain comes on.

  • It's worth seeing a Doctor, he may be able to help you.

  • I think the advice across the interenet for that condition is that knee support will keep the joint from doing it. Its not that often i get it, just if ive been riding for a long time. I rode for 7hrs with only a half hr break, and didnt get it, which is strange. But I do get it from time to time. I think its just those bikes with the very high pegs (bigger bikes).

  • you can get kits that riase or lower the pegs, brake and gear shifter i think..... might be worth considering . if you cant find them then modify a bracket yourself.

  • i dont know but its all a lil to short tests

  • was that a wheelie??

  • he's a wannabe top gear presenter.lol

but c'mon he does know his stuff well fair play to him.

  • F0ck you are an idiot and probably an inexperienced rider that chooses to suggest a bike that you yourself could not handle on someone that is well capable. Bboy if you have any questions ask me, I have been riding for years and will be able to suggest something that will make you happy.

  • yes I agree with FockUtoob, er6f is comfortable and have power, yes yes^^ don't need 100hp to go fast believe me I have ridden this model last week and because it's a twin, you'll blow many 600cc in the corners, This thing has an awsome acceleration if you want too and is also easy and calm when you want too. Go and buy it!!^^

  • I can't decide it, wich one i should buy...

    2009 kawasaki er6f or

    2008 cbr600 f

  • The CBR is a race bike. Get it if you have little riding experience, & want to kill yourself.

The er6f is just a great all rounder. Get if if you want to ride in comfort and get better range doing it.

    CBR is 4cyl. er6f is 2. I don't need 4 so guess which 1 I want?

Look for CBR vids on here. No way would I want that bike, but that's just me. & honda should have their ass removed for not having entry level bikes. Or dual sports or touring bikes

KMA Honda. I'll take my business somewhere else

  • @F0ckUtoob Touring bikes? Goldwing?

  • @F0ckUtoob No entry level bikes? NT700. Touring? Goldwing, ST1300, and the Interceptor. Dual sport? CRF230L and the XR650L. Not sure where you're getting your info.

  • @1patrioticscots I'm in america Honda has a bike for every market, but usually only ONE. & silly me this being a sportbike video I thought my post was in context to it. The 17hp CRFail230 & XRL are air cooled. The BRP is also 350lbs who wants to learn on that? I own a 20yo 26hp 6 sp NX250 & can tell you Honda listens way 2 much to their own detriment to whoever is in charge of marketing & sales here. 2 far ahead or 2 far behind that's Honda 4 ya. Joppers went out the day after Easyrider came out

  • @F0ckUtoob hey dude, you seem to have some bikes knowledge. i have no motorcycle experience and i want to make a licence and buy this one. how fast is it?? it has 70 hp. how much is it for such a bike?? how much does it take to reach 100 km/h for a bike with 70 hp??

  • @jerseyy It can drive 205 km/h.. but I'm not sure..

  • @CrownsTT its top speed is about 210 kmh. but i was wondering how fast it reaches 100kmh. time from 0 to 100 kmh

  • @jerseyy Ok, so i was not far away with my 205 ;)

How fast does it reach 100kmh. It only has 8500/min. So does it reach 100 that fast?

  • @CrownsTT around 4 seconds

  • @F0ckUtoob Honda 600 hornet

  • @F0ckUtoob Honda does about five entry levels. Cbf125, vl125 varadero, cbr125 etc. and no touring bikes? Um... So the Goldwing is a moped? And the Honda Deauville, and the Honda Pan European etc.

  • @ArthurDentandVogons I'm in the US. So no, we really don't have anything "broad" to choose from. Just the things at the top of a demographic/statistical sales study list.

It's big money to sell 16 year-olds 150hp racebikes now...

We don't get bikes that make sense b/c we don't ride out of necessity but rather out of luxury.

We also don't need anything smaller than 250 b/c of all the highways we have.

  • @F0ckUtoob I can understand that, in the UK it's a bit different, coz we've got the limits learners etc.

  • I'd go for ER-6f.. the only thing i don't like about this bike is no USD fork (Even my RS125 has got one). But for the price you cannot complain.

I'm very tempted to buy it for my second bike.. looks to me like a good all rounder.

  • Are you a beginer?

at first you buy er6f & enjoy it 1 season

.next you ,ll decide choice 2010,2009,2008 ,s cbr600! or still er6f.with makeing money.

but on me? i .ll take R6 . YAMAHA!!

  • cbr is a race bike, and it is uncomfortable for long rides and in the city, they get hot in traffic, but for short commutes are fine Perfect for track days

er6f it's an all around bike: twin=lots of power and torque@low-mid rpms. More upright position=comfortable, gets better mpgs, you can do long trips without feeling too tired, it's lighter and requires less experience. 4cyl unless you get up to 10-12k rpms they feel lifeless and in the city you don't get there without breaking the speed limit

  • I prefer the older model with black paintwork and the red frame. This is still a nice bike though, just needs to get a new exhaust :D

  • quirky???? wtf... it's awesome!!!! kawasaki is great. I've only been driving the predecessor-model (or how do you say in english??) just great.

  • He's not exactly demonstrating the bike's handling when he crosses the centerline around each curve.

  • I wish they would state fuel consumption figures. I don't like this model. It's too quirky for me.

  • I agree, his skill must be at least good enough for MCN to use him as a reviewer.....something should be said about the camera work though, seems like the onboard camera was taped to the fairing (e.g. 1:44) and many of the closeup shots have a reflection of the cameraperson (eg. 0:55)....not usually something professional videographers get caught doing. Granted, it could be the rider himself doing the closeups but unlikely since there's obviously a cameraperson taking video of the bike in action

  • Damn there is a lot of stupid people here on Youtube.

IF he doesn't know how to ride a bike then why is it that he gets to review it before anybody else ?

  • LOL and he also drives and review Ducatis Hondas Suzukis Yamahas supersports so i think HE CAN FUCKING RIDE!!!!!

I love the MCN reviews they are REAL not like some effect pleasing "washing powder advertising like" reviews where nothing's real!

  • @thatthething With his height he should be the most suited guy to review Chinese Dax copies

  • lol trust him alot more than the whinging armchair bikers here

  • gas indicator too XD

  • got mind 2009 and it the dog bollocks better than 2008 no rattles on the screen or pegs

  • Yeah, like everyone who puts a negative comment on here can beat this guy on a track and gets invited to these press releases because they have all this skill and ability so companies are asking them to test thier bikes.

  • Maybe, that professional rider, is cutting the pex a little so that he can give the best feedback and results he can, to the viewers (aka he salary payers). You know, riders that ride a sport bike, like a sport bike. Not sport bike riders that doddle along like they're on a cruiser.

BTW, "pex" would be short for Apex. Can't (& shouldn't) give a accurate review, if you never work the envelope. And I think he's qualified to do it. He doesn't sit around and comment on YouTube everyday.

  • Man this guy really need to get back to the driving school. rackless driver.I got er6n too with that speed and that corner u don need to drive to opposite lane. just pull down your body and u can make it through

  • this guy doesn't counter steer

  • If he isn´t counter steering then how is he turning?

  • @PitPat23 Yes He does, Your comment is dumb.

  • In the US this is a naked bike D: like 600cc version of the Z1000

  • it's the f version man you re talking about the n version....

  • Wrong side of the god damn road again!

MCN are giving motorcyclists bad names. Learn to ride, or dont. Your the biggest selling newspaper for motorcyclists and have a huge name - dont go giving motorcyclists baad names!

  • how many times are you gonna ride that same corner..? and fuck would you do a track day on that...ya talkin shyte as per usual..!

  • Might as well learn to spell.

  • Does anybody know if the passenger grips on the EU ER-6F could be installed on a US 650R?

  • Please start posting HD videos so we can really enjoy them.

  • just to clarify, er-6 has the same engine as the versys

  • looks like a great lil bike!

  • i bought a 2006 model in Australia, first big bike excellent bike to ride for confidence building.Had major problem with fairing buzz ,took it back to dealer 3 times after a month always came back.Good handling and speed for a twin but build finish was not great sv650 looked better built.Sold bike after accident at work (fell off roof).Does anyone know if ninja 600 has same fairing problem.

  • There is a fairing damper kit available on web for the ER6F. Just google it. I can't remember the actual website. It works well. I had a bike techo install it under warrantee. So it cost me nothing and no more buzz.

  • Badass bike, but I'd take a 6R over that anyday

  • That's like saying

"I'd take a Viper over a Mustang anyday"

    Well, no shit.

  • I have the older version. This new one has much nicer styling, nicer lights, a cool dash....and vibration is a problem on the older ones....I'd like to upgrade, but that's a lot of money to get a bike that's effectively the same....just cooler looking.

  • What bike do you ride now you got some good videos man

  • I agree. Unless you truly love the bike enough to pay that much for basically the same thing with new clothes, and a bit smoother engine, I wouldn't waste the money. Plus, the fun of "upgrading" is trying something new!

  • i get my er6f thuesday it's the 2006 model and i have to say honestly i like it the upgrades are good and ok but no need to change the bike just for that..

  • looks just like the Ninja 650R

  • It IS a Ninja 650R.

  • Your right I was thinking about the ER-6N

  • I didnt like the colour of this bike, I like that typical Kawasaki green colour, its colour is same as the green tree snake....I like that more.....And for 5000GBP, Its really is a bargain.

  • nice vid!

  • I want one, now all I need is someon to give me the money for free lol

  • Oh comeon, I see that you are from the UK, so 5000 GBP should not be a lot of money for you. Well, I am a poor kid from India...even I need a bike like this as badly as you want it. Aim High, you may reach the sky...... : -)

  • on a private motorway right?

  • 2.26 90mph on the motorway? Don't you mean 70mph? hint hint

  • 90mph INDICATED is not a TRUE 70mph. 90mph = a true 81mph.

  • i think i like the naked version more

  • I have the ER6n and I really want this now...

  • There's more expensive 1 cylinder bikes on the market. The number of cyls has nothing to do with determining what the bike is worth.

  • Never looked at the price of a TDM 900, or a BMW F800 for that matter?

  • Not a bad bike actually. I went on a ride day with 2 mates. we had a yamaha fazer fz6, kwaka gtr1400 and the er6-f. The er-6 was alittle under powered compared to the other bikes,,,but who cares. Still fast enough to get you into trouble, comfy and heaps of fun through twisty forest roads.
