So the carbon dating is flawed. Now scientists have traced the Shroud on other grounds to 1st Century Jerusalm, exactly where and when Jesus was crucified. The sheoud of turin is authentic.

What's bugged me for years about this is the image on the shroud has wounds on the wrist while we as christians know that when Jesus showed his wounds they were to his hands not the wrist. Even the Passion movie depicts that at the end when Jesus was resurrected. The one doctors comment was the nails in the hand could not support a man weighing 170lbs without tearing through the hand.

I think the wounds are not in the wrist nor the center of the palm but the lower thick fat part of the palm. I believe you cannot get an exact idea from the image of shroud of where the punctuation is- but it appears to me from the pictures that it could be in the lower fat part of the palm. I think the analysis is flawed because the image is not perfectly detailed and the idea that it was in the wrist is slightly off and therefore flawed.

I believe the analysis is flawed and in fact the wounds are in the lower fattier part oft he palm where there would be more grip. When he was crucified the hanging caused the blood to travel downwards making the blood stain closer to the wrist and so on the shroud you get most likely an accurate representation which would be very thoughtful for a fake- but it looks as though the wound was at the wrist when it was in fact in the lower fattier part of the palms.

According to the bible and other historical documents crucifixion was a relatively common form of capital punishment. However, the image on the cloth is what makes it so controversial. It is not the manner of death, but the manner of ressurection that caused the image.

Intersting evidence. I still hold out some skepticism that it's the image of Jesus himself from the resurrection event.

The bible principle of "by faith not by sight" would seem to make this shroud evidence less germane to the event. Of course, Jesus did offer physical evidence to Thomas. Still, the image data is fascinating.
