@w5andre There is only one in the world with original engines, but it is not flight capable as far as I know. They now mostly use General Electric J-85/CJ-610 Which, CJ-610's you can commonly find on Learjets.
There are 8 Me262 survivors and 2 Avia S.92 versions. One of the eight Me262 is being rebuilt with the intent to fly for short flights at a museum, but the project is not finished yet.
The 262 Jet is a brand new replica (made in the US!) and the 109 is a Bouchon from the 1950ies built back with an original Daimler-Benz engine to the Me 109 G standard. Both are owned and operated by EADS (Airbus & Erurofighter) "Messerschmitt Stiftung".
Excellent! The 262 is super, but I just love the sweet sound of the DB engine whistling in the 109. It's the best of all prop engine fighters of it's time. Thanks for posting.
