  • too short

  • For most Radiohead songs (and in general) it takes me two listens to get hooked...

This one took me maybe 3 or 4 but I've never been hooked more.

  • sborro,dio cane

  • i hate it

  • i honestly could not tell you the words of this song even though i've listened to it so much in the last hour and half. but it's beautiful and nice to work to. so i like it :)

  • This song is an utter masterpiece.

  • If you think The King Of Limbs is over, then you're wrong.

  • I really do think of "The King Of Limbs" as a musical experience. You have to just sit yourself down some beautiful destination like a forest or mountain top all on your own and shut yourself off for the albums entirety. Yet again this is another excellent example of how Radiohead are the most thought provoking musicians in their field.

  • Radiohead is beyond comment. A gift from above. Listen without judgement and get past yourself.

  • It kinda reminds me the pink floyd...

  • favorite song from this album

  • Incredible!!! When the guitar starts playing... I go extasis :D

  • @00lifeisforliving00 Totally agree. I always think of the sun coming out when the guitar kicks in. Gets me every time.

  • cyr sent me here!. :p

  • At first glance, this album seemed like Radiohead losing its touch, but it grew on me, much like the rest of their albums.

  • @Xaulb completely agree with you! i heard kol like twice and people asked me how is it? i just replied it's an album for a huge radiohead fan its no ok computer and not an in rainbows but its allright, 2 months later im hooked on codex separator bloom little by little it grew on me completely!

  • Best song.Ever.

  • Colin does an amazing job on this whole album!

  • Sucha great song <3 love radiohead

  • i liked creep very much of them. but this idk if i like this -.- its not as splendid

  • @TheLittleMonsterX3 Go listen to every album, in order, about 50 times over whilst looking up Thom Yorke/Johnny Greenwood interviews, buy Radiohead merchandise, and spend years of your life immersing your soul into Radiohead's music. Then you can tell me if this compares to "Creep" or not.

  • @Warhawk101 well everyone has his own opinion and there likes and no likes if you like it or not. and i respect everyones opinion. but when i dont like something then dont go like you fucking faker bithc imma clap you so hard!! cuz that's how you come over on me. if i dont liek something, i really dont. you can eather respect that or get all pissed about it.

  • @Warhawk101 Well said, dear. No one likes a fan who only "likes" one song from a band. Pablo Honey sounds almost NOTHING like what Radiohead has become in the past 10 years.

  • @TheLittleMonsterX3 Not if sure if trolling, or just dumb.

  • It is. The most perfect song.

  • this is my daily meditation

  • this song is too good for words

  • this song is tied in my opinion with Lotus Flower for the best song on TKOL

  • Jesus, the King of limbs . . .

  • and if you think this is over, then you're wrong. falling of a giant bird that's been carrying me. brilliant.

  • They always make me want to stop what im doing and pick up my guitar

  • Love the song ,it takes me to another world were there is peace and love ,its so nice.. I. love it

  • best song of the year

  • This song gives me an enormous sense of wellbeing, a feeling especially welcome since life has been kind of hard lately. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever crafted.

  • @electriquechair I know what you mean bro this song makes me so happy

  • In my personal opinion, radiohead doesn't make an album intending to have singles. They don't intend for it to be widely accepted. Instead, they create entire albums that all flow with the same feeling, the same expression and same overall atmosphere. That said, people seem to always compare albums like kid a and ok computer to new stuff like king of limbs and ask why they don't make something like them again. It would be like an author re writing his old book with different words.Who'd want that?

  • @trcharles7 dude, that is the best way someone has put that. I've always argued the same point of view against people who say that, but it's true, why would an artist go back to doing something the same? ifsomething has tremendous success in an artistic field, and you stay the rest of your career trying to make similar creations, people will get bored of it, the best artists (like radiohead) move on to different ways and make distinct masterpieces. Not clones of the same one.

  • @NBADR Thanks. I'm glad a true Radiohead fan agrees :)

  • I love radiohead's solemn and haunting vibe. It's like listening to the woes of an overcast sky, with the little guitar/piano accents as the first drops of rain. I want to hear them emulate a thunderstorm a bit more though. But beautiful, beautiful.

  • best song of the day . . .

  • Man this is beauty :D

  • This song is an answer to anyone who thinks this album is second rate.

  • If you think this is over

    Then you're wrong

If you think this is over

    Then you're wrong

(Wake me up, wake me up)

Like I'm falling out of bed from a long and weary dream

Finally I'm free of all the weight I've been carrying

    When I ask you again

    When I ask you again

Wake me up, wake me up

  • Falling off a giant bird that's been carrying me I fell open I laid under At the tip out I was just a number I wanna slip it over And get back under And if you think this is over Then you're wrong If you think this is over Then you're wrong (Wake me up, wake me up)
  • It's like I'm falling out of bed From a long, weary dream The sweetest flowers and fruits hang from the trees Falling off the giant bird that's been carrying me It's like I'm falling out of bed from a long and weary dream Just exactly as I remember Every word Every gesture I'm a heart in cold ground Like I'm falling out of bed From a long and weary dream Finally I'm free of all the weight I've been carrying Every woman blows her cover In the eye of the beholder I'm a fish now out of water

  • BEAUTIFUL..

  • you know, if you pay attention and listen very very closely, there's actually guitars in this track. And you know what, i take this 30 secs of humanity over 10000 years of synth crap. it's almost like hope, like humans back from underground after armageddon. fuck electronic abuse

  • @seiter13 I used to have the same attitude towards the electronic formulation of music. Then I realized that the sentiment was fucking stupid.

  • whoever dislikes this is a communist without an imagination, sorry to those who find this statement redundant

  • 2 people are separated from the rest.

  • This song makes me happy :)

  • i dont get why there are so many haters of this album there, the myriad of comments complaining about the lack of cohesive riffs, and complex melodies ignore the ultimate aim music aims to achieve which is to communicate an emotional message which i think couldn't be done much better if they had chucked in a few more notes. They clearly are capable of this, so instead of trying to sound like a pretentious critique' try to listen and make sense of what is trying to be said rather than what isnt..

  • This song makes me so calm that i feel like i'm floating

  • What is it with Tom Yorke and his obsession with fish?

  • sure the best song of the album.. wonderful

  • What comment can I give about this song that can do it justice? Speechless is the only one that I can come-up with and even that does not even come close to how I feel about this song. God bless Radiohead with the richest blessings that he has in Christ Jesus, here, now, always, and for ever. Amen.

  • Does anyone else hear Prince inspiration on the vocals? I'm trying to channel what Prince song it reminds me of, but it's just got playfulness of the delivery.

Isn't it sweet to see Thom getting funky and sort of R&B influenced in his middle age? It's almost like he knows he's already proven he can "out-dark" anyone "dark songwriters" out there...and now he's onto the next...cheers mate!

  • possibly the best song on the disc .... magic

  • all this new stuff sounds too mellow for me... like they have no energy. The songs sound alright but they never seem to go anywhere and build and build like Radiohead's good stuff does. This album reminds me a lot of Thom Yorke's so-so solo album. The groove never changes and gets annoying after awhile. Not that you should care what I think. I wish Radiohead would just make a whole album of songs like their out take "Wicked Child". Just some straight forward bluesy rock stuff..

  • @eric1982 I know what you mean, I do quite like the King of Limbs but I think In Rainbows was a more balanced album. This is a nice album to chill out to. But my first impression of it was it really needs something like a Bodysnatchers - something thrashy. Every other album bar Amnesiac has one and it just helps break it up - Just, Electioneering, Optimistic, There There, Bodysnatchers. Even Creep has its thrashy moments. But Amnesiac and TKOL don't have that.

  • @eric1982 That's not who radiohead are. Why the hell would they want to make something that has been done a million times before? If you want bluesy rock go and listen to clapton or something. (Not that there is anything wrong with Clapton)

  • love thom

  • Fake.

  • This type of music is filithy justyna?

  • I've always loved radiohead....reminds me of college driving in my truck with the windows down on country back roads..not a care in the world and loving every minute of it. :)

  • you know, I used to read the comments on You Tube but it bores me to death now. This album is superb in my opinion and I couldn't give a hoot what anyone else thinks. It's an album to listen to through headphones on ones own and it does that Radiohead thing of sounding different and distinct yet a progression of previous work. Colins base playing is superb on this album and as a collective piece of art it is superb. Majestic, sweeping, layered, groovy, and for some reason sounds natural/organic

  • @MrFozzapuskas so true. Also, all radiohead albums take a few listens to get used to...you can't appreciate their work on one listen like so many people expect.

  • @liverpoolfc973

that's perhaps the most important thing to recognize about radiohead in my opinion

  • @MrFozzapuskas Here here!

  • @MrFozzapuskas right on man

  • @MrFozzapuskas couldnt have said it better myself. they evolve, so should humanity, but i see no near sign of it.

  • @MrFozzapuskas so fucking true. haters gonna hate mang.

  • @MrFozzapuskas i wholeheartedly agree with every point you've made, it is brilliant, sophisticated, intimate yet expansive, this is the sound of a mature, confident band at the top of their powers

  • @MrFozzapuskas Anyone who comments on a Radiohead song and leaves a negative comment, I always assume to be a nickelback fan......

  • oh God what a great song....

  • I don't really feel the backlash on this album.

I hated OK Computer, was bored by Kid A, thought Pablo Honey was weak and never really got much into Amnesiac.

Hail was decent and the Bends impressed me, and this goes up there with them.

    People's different tastes, fuck it.

  • @mrfudgeyhead well. ok computer was pretty amazing kid a and amnesiac were groundbreaking. so maybe you should stop listening to radiohead if you didnt like any of those.

  • Such a great song to listen to in the morning.

  • @Raffinator haha i'm listening this right now in the morning and i was thinking "Such a great song to listen in the morning"

  • @Raffinator any time of day

  • @Raffinator I was actually looking up this video on youtube to say the exact same thing :P

  • Springtime

  • Great ending of a great album. Thank u 4 the music Radiohead! When I listen to your music I wonder if there's something worth saving humanity for after all.

  • I love this. Oh Goodness.

  • i want this to be what i hear when i die.

  • What a strong finish to the album!

  • This song makes me want to cry :(

  • @rosesredrosered Same.

  • EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS FLAME WAR, YOU ARE ALL FUCKING IDIOTS

fighting on the internet is like competing in the special olympics... win or lose, youre still fucking retarded

  • @Gazonkie I agree about fighting on the internet, but if that's retarded, then how to describe using old, clichéd jokes as your own?

  • @robertoshorto i never said it was my own, but its a timeless joke. applied in the early days of the internet, applies now.

  • @Gazonkie Yeah, fair enough - sorry I was pretty tired and in a bad mood when I wrote that! Just seen it so many times and it annoys me as I have a brother with learning disabilities. I just don't like the word "retarded", it's an antiquated word.

  • Ive found it somehow that the lyrics of this song reminds me of a video game called Shadow of the Colossus. Those who played it could recognise what im thinking of. by the way, Johnny Greenwood play videogames, few months ago he put a list of his best games ever on Dead Air Space, and one of them was ICO, Shadow of the colossus predecessor.

  • @metoksipirazin I remember seeing that list - I don't really see the link you're making though? In terms of music or lyrics? Both games are superb, looking forward to The Last Guardian.

  • when I first heard in rainbows I thought there was only 2 good songs on it. Its now one of my favourite radiohead albums. same with kid A. this album is different but definately relaxes you. but like all thier stuff its an album, and you have to be in for the long haul. its only then you apprieciate the effect of all the tracks. sounds like pretentious bollocks but its true.

  • favorite song off album

  • is it okay for me to say that i do not like this album? or maybe i just have to give it a few more plays,, hmmm...

  • @rechmen theres no depth to this album at all, not sure what giving it a few more listens would warrant but go ahead if you want to waste your time

  • @snipersas ...just curious after reviewing the last 100 posts or so....let's leave your lack of a musical ear aside...the bigger question is, why do you think everyone identifies you almost immediately as "the guy i really dislike"? And what's that phenomenon been like having to live it every day of your life?

  • @Hammercrafter they dont, and i dont know. how about we dont leave music aside since im interested in talking about that, and not reading your childish, baseless garbage

  • @snipersas, You're VERY interested in reading everything I type. You're making that embarrassingly clear in your inability to quit replying to me, but I'm not interested in having a pissing contest anymore with a dead horse which couldn't buy a thumb-up to save his life. You simply aren't smart enough, nor musically competent enough, to warrant anyone's attention on here anymore.

You're Kanye on the stage of the Grammy's at this point. It's just a painful and clownish death-spiral to watch.

  • @Hammercrafter I JUST CANT QUIT YOU

  • @Hammercrafter you're right dude, im sorry about everything. you wanna hang out sometime and make up? i listend to the album again like someone on her suggested and its great

  • @Hammercrafter whats you cell, lemme shoot you a text

  • @Hammercrafter im a pisces btw, you?

  • @Hammercrafter just listened to kid a again, what a pile of shit. i never realized how hard it was to follow because they dont repeat the same rhythm and melody for 1/6 of the albums total run time. you're right, i really WAS musically incompetent back then! a/s/l ?

  • Comment removed

  • This album is fucking good, is the sexiest Radiohead album ever

  • @thedarknessfighter

Nonsense. While you may not agree with the overall tone of the album, you can't deny that they have two real gems here: Bloom and Codex. What does Pablo Honey have? Nothing. Just a gigantic pile of horse shit. Even Radiohead hates their first album.

For me, from bloom to codex everything was awesome. Give up the Ghost and Separator are "just" good.

Overall, if releasing 37-minute, 8-song albums is what it takes for Radiohead to continue, then by all means, let it be.

  • and to the slack-jawed dullards who rushed in to congratulate hammercrafter over his small-minded, self congratulatory wank: if you werent in 6th grade when kid a came out, maybe you would appreciate the differences in emotional content, subtlety, and song craft there are between one of the greatest records ever (kid a), and a self-involved, disengaging, thom yorke solo EP that costs as much as a studio album (tkol)

  • @snipersas You bore me and have the brought mine and everyone's enjoyments of this song down due to your moaning.

  • @23lFrench deal with it you stupid kid? sorry i ruined a pile of horse shit for you, you can thank me later

  • @snipersas Oh no I have my own opinion, we can't have that, your opinion is the only opinion that matters right?

  • @23lFrench Man, what the fuck are you talking about

  • @snipersas Sad thing is, you are true. This is easily my least favourite Radiohead album to date, even worse than Pablo, and the fact that it is barely even Studio Album length adds on to the embarrassment of this album.

  • @thedarknessfighter The album is only 5 minute short than In Rainbows. You're just an idiot.

  • @youboxer But In Rainbows was a remarkable album, that easily makes up for its short length. Short length albums are great when done correctly, unlike The King of Limbs.

  • @snipersas

    Snipersas,

You sure type a lot for someone whose posts nobody seems to agree with or respect.

We're in that embarrassing and awkward period of time now, between when everyone on a board easily identifies the long-winded musically incompetent douche, and when the long-winded musically incompetent douche identifies himself ;)

  • @Hammercrafter is the fact that i type a lot supposed to be a criticism? sorry if a paragraph is daunting to you, it gets easier after 5th grade. and im not concerned that you think im "musically incompetent" or whatever, the fact that this album doesn't have the creative spark or emotional content of radioheads previous albums is clear to anyone who doesnt have something to prove

  • the guitar coming in on 2:32 makes this song for me

  • WOWWWW! my favourite song off this album :)

  • boring, repetitive album, uninspired triped

  • @snipersas

    Snipersas,

I know you're frustrated that this album doesn't have absurdly ostentatious guitars like Muse trying to rip your head off for their attention...but Radiohead are like the cute girl in the coffee-shop in the conservative sweater rather than the street-whore in sequins and high heels: at first glance, the girl in the coffeeshop doesn't catch your eye as much, but if you hang out with both of them for a few days, i bet you'll like the coffeeshop girl more in the end.

  • @Hammercrafter

    Brilliant analogy

  • @Hammercrafter Haha, that's such a fantastic way of putting it. Completely agree.

  • @Hammercrafter Haha superb

  • @Hammercrafter hey dumb ass, just because i think thom yorke dicking around on a mac book for a half hour does not equal a good radiohead album doesnt mean i need yngwie malmsteen shredding throughout the whole record. no one thinks youre cool just because you use a shitty coffee shop metaphor to show everyone how much you "get it". take that weak pretentious shit somewhere else

  • @Hammercrafter Well said man.

  • @Hammercrafter

Although I agree with your "Radiohead is a more mature, intelligent, textured experience", I am deeply offended by your negative comparison to Muse: they are absolutely great at what they do: create over-the-top emotional alt-rock that simply destroys everything else when playing live.

  • @Hammercrafter Agreed. Agreed. Muse only *wishes they had the Resume that Radiohead has. Not to bash on Muse (much) here, but seriously, We're comparing Leaders to Followers here. Leaders vs. Followers.

  • not is she's got aids...

  • @goochbillingham, You're right. It would be disastrous if you thought all was well, when in fact, the coffeeshop girl infected your loins with her HIV/AIDS virus.

  • @Hammercrafter or you're a fag

  • @Hammercrafter Radiohead = a shy hot brunette who is proper

Muse = a stupid white trash blond bitch trying to stick her tits in your mouth

  • @Mr11MUSICMAN love the comparison...couldn't have said it better myself

  • @bnradiohead LOK.

  • @Hammercrafter Very well put! I'm glad there are still some people with sense in this world! Every time I listen to this album it blows me away a little bit more. This song is amazing

  • @Hammercrafter Damn Fine, Damn Fine.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hammercrafter There more like The CHUCK NORRIS!!!!!

  • @snipersas

I really hope you give this album more of a chance. It's quite good

  • this song is just unbelievable. the end gives me chills. if this is the last radiohead song ever, it was a hell of a way to go out.

  • word on the streets is this is just part 1 - trees have more than one limb and i've never read a newspaper with just one section have you?

  • nice =)

  • Wow...just wow

  • jeezus colin kills it on this album, especially this one

    that baseline is fucking sexy

  • This song is soooo cool - soundscape in the end and how it builds! Thnxs Radiohead for your new cd ! You are still King of....

  • This is fucking amazing.

  • i fucking love this album because it's full on psychedelia.....in 2011! sure there all these beats and heavy bass but the people saying they're trying to do dance music or dubstep don't get it. hearing those little insturmental loops and the orchestration in bloom and the incredible amount of layers, all the guitar riffs in this song, this is an incredibly psyhedelic album, and incredibly emotional and beautiful.

  • this song makes me high, wow

  • Best song of the album

  • 2:57 gives me goosebumps

  • I love the part beginning at 2:34. The guitar in the background is so lovely.
