I saw Deep Purple and Nazareth live in Abilene Tx. in 1975.

At the time I didn't know who Tommy Bolin was??? Duh?

I went out the next day and bought Hair of the Dog and Come Taste The Band.

They should have done this in a slightly lower key for David Coverdale. Just a bit too uncomfortable for him to sing.

Coverdale's vocal performance is woeful on this track. any wonder Hughes wanted lead vocal duties. He could sing this coked to the eye balls and with a gag on!

@Purpletragick Ha ha, yeah i would have to admit Diamond Dave is struggling somewhat on this particular performance. Coverdale and Hughes were (when both on form) a formidable tag team. I'd say in 2011 Hughes voice has aged the best of all the Purple singers imo.
