  • Not sure about everyone else but I fucking loved Homecoming. Hands down my favourite. And the music is amazing.

  • @MrJScott2011 Not sure if it's my favorite, but thought it was certainly worth playing. Some of my favorite game music too.

  • Sounds like a distant accordion in the beginning, totally awesome!

  • This song has a sense of calmness. Out of all the violence you go through, your in peace and harmony for the moment.. While the darkness is watching you from behind. You have to split two ways.. Sacrifice for peace... Or save your self in the darkness.

  • This music inspires greatness

  • I wake up to this. Its got that "wake up in a sunny room" feeling. Gotta love when Silent Hill music can be used to set the moods for your daily life!

  • Wow, no dislike

  • I JUST LOVE IT!!!

  • I never made that connection before - that James' wife - Mary's maiden name was Shephard. I wonder what relation she was to the Shephards'..? hmmm

  • this is one thing they got spot on with this game....the music

  • this picture...this song.. wondeful!

  • Aw. The snow flower. Basically every flower's theme in Silent Hill, if there are any. Swaying in that thick yet gentle fog. Untouched.

  • The sound at the start is something being played backwards.

Maybe a piano not sure to be honest.

    Just thought I would share.

  • I am looking forward to Silent Hill: Downpour, but now that I know the great Akira Yamaoka won't be composing the music, I am worried that it might lose its roots even more. I can see the Westernisation of the series seen in Silent Hill: Homecoming becoming much more pronounced in Silent Hill Downpour mainly because of the music. I'm not saying that it wont be good music, but Akira's music is what, for me, made the series so fantastic to play. I hope Daniel Licht sticks to the musics roots.

  • @CainG88 i agree with you in so many ways just have a little faith im nervous too about akira not making the music for silent hill but i hope the game will do well

  • Does anyone remember at which this played during the game?

  • @GeminiBreaker Several places, dear. I'd be hard pressed to give them all. Usually when you're walking around. I remember it played once for me while I was in the junkyard.

  • God I love silent hill...thanks for posting the soundtrack :)

  • just my opinion but i think alex and james have somthing in common they looking for some one they loved and killed they both have sexual fustrations they both had a run in with pryamid head (spelling) and i think marry is alex auntie who is james late wife they also realize they killed there loved one at the end of the game through a memory faze and have to fight them as a boss silent hill 2 could chose who to fight marry or maria replay if u think they dont have somthing in common

  • @blackwolfxx2 Now that you put it that way..

But Alex is like Harry. Looking for a young loved one, but like James. As you said, ran into PH and is looking for a loved one he killed. Also, since Mary's name before she was married was Mary Shepherd, and James killed Mary in the hotel (I think) That voice may well have been Mary or Alex thinking of Mary, as James and Mary disappeared in Silent Hill.

  • @TheBravethunder i see your point and agree with you on your opinion

  • @PokeFreakOfTheYear I'm not fucking retarded I know it's a game series, I have been playing it since the first. What I meant was that the nurses look like the movie's version, they had things from the movie in the game, nurses, how the silent hill sign was. They didn't look like the nurses from the first game, or even the second. Don't jump to conclusions thinking I don't know shit about the games. Good day.

  • I hate it how people think the games were based off of the movie,

    SilentHill movie: made in 2006

SilentHill videogames: (original) made in 1999

  • Is it true that Akira isn't repeting for the SIXTH one?

  • @NickRiviera10 EIGHTH one, you mean. And it's true DX

  • SH: Homecoming had the hottest nurses broskis

  • @CHAMUCO7o2 They made them to match the movie's version ;l

  • @Nudge009 No they had them look like nurses from the older silent hill games, the movie was based off of the video games, silent hill video games were first made in 1999, the movie was made in 2006 -_-

  • great soundtrack, only thing i didnt understand was y the game wasnt in silent hill in the first place, its in shepards glen. you go to silent hill like 3 times thats it

  • @tzero440 I think they knew if it was in Silent Hill for the whole game then it would mean that it would have to be a direct sequel and the complaints of the game would be 5 times worse than they are now. Visiting makes it feel like a Silent Hill Lite so people wouldn't expect it to be too much like the old.

  • Makes me think of my past........-shivers-

  • did you know...

if you play this song backwards the ending and beginning of the song

    sounds like a piano playing.

either forward or backwards this music is awesome.

  • @ilovefall08 probably because the effect is the piano being played backwards. It's a really haunting effect, but pretty much impossible to pull of live.

  • this is good but the best SH soundtracks for me is from SH2 and SH0 (0rigins) ;)

  • @EmuNoev

    Me too!!!

  • Gorgeous! When does this play in the game?

  • best soundtrack

  • love it

  • Thank you so much for posting this, its my new favorite Silent Hill song, aaaah so amazing!!! :D

  • god...i love this song...i hated homecoming but the music is probly the best in the series...so hypnotic

  • yeah, the music keeps getting better.

  • i agree the music was VERY great : D

  • homecoming's pc version is significantly different from the other versions.i recommend you to play on pc.i bet this game's pc version is the best in the franchise

  • @kaandereli007

really? it was just the plot, it was too predictable and just seemed to be recycling elements from previous games and mixing it with children of the corn. it also didnt seem very scary to me at all.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 yeah i have to say that it's a weird thing that the music is creepy and disturbing BUT hypnotic and comforting actually in the same time.i've never played silent hill games btw and i'm not crazy enough to do it.i've played others but this one is just too scary.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 yup, homecoming sucks, music is still good for obvious reasons.

  • a mix of ambiental, chill out, trip hop music.. so nice :)

  • What is the music genre?

  • the genre is "greatest music ever for the greatest game series ever created ever" yeah that about sums it up

  • @gafagafaga So damn true man, so damn true.
