  • How have 7 people pressed dislike??? This guy spent 22 years in prison for something he did not do and got through it, I can't even put into words how inspirational that is.

  • Guilty of triple murder? Two things we do know are that neither Len Matthews nor Charlie Scott was ever a "..champion of the world." Ruben, you have to know that.

  • hai cambiato la mia vita ♥

  • Rasist is like AIDS...it never goes way. I've done research on Dr. Carter and all the evidence points to the state of new jersey. I thought new york city was bad we got nothing on new jersey. I've been to Paterson, New Jersey once to see girl. I'll probably never go back their again. Dr. Carter was proofing innocent you assholes got 22 years of his life what more to you want.

  • Thats bullshit he was Innocent F*** the people who say he guilty

  • these people after all this time saying he killed them well i don't believe it earthier the guy served 20 years in side thats should not happened and it has been proved that the police are corrupt and they should been investigated, live long Rubin Hurricane Carter live long

  • I'm not convinced he's guilty.

  • Black Power!!!

  • He did some bad things as a young man but that doesn't mean he's a murderer. I guess there's only him who knows if he's innocent or not, you can't rely on movies to tell the truth. Most of the Hurricane movie is fictional anyway, I'm not saying he did it though, I'm just saying I'm unsure.

  • @Lynsey38025Part2 exactly we don't know if he is innocent or not the crime scene now 45 years old is more than twice my age. though from the weight of evidence i say there is an 80% chance he was guilty, just as oj i say it is 90% chance he in fact killed and 99% chance he was somehow involved, just as casey anthony there is 10% chance she is innocent, 10% chance it was murder and 80% chance negligence. though he got paroled and i don't have anything against paroling those on good behaviour.

  • What an amazing man.......

  • Rubin Carter is a great man

  • @TheWopper78

Oh Christ just google ruben carter and look at the facts, there's no doubt about his guilt. The movie by the way was a complete work of fiction.

  • CAN ANYBODY TELL ME ,WHY ARE THE WHITE PEOPLE WHO ARE RACIST,,RACIST,, WHAT HAVE BLACK PEOPLE DONE THEM ,CUZ IM STILL LOST ,IF YOU RACIST WHITE PEOPLE CAN ANSWER THAT FOR ME ,, THAN THE MYSTERY WOULD BE OVER FOR ME,

  • why does every youtube video with black people in have to be full of racist comments , ignorant arseholes

anyway Hurricane is one tough fighter not just in the ring but in life also, id liek to see you ignorant racist pricks go through what he did without hanging yourself

  • @TheRushfx iheard a joke about black people wat do u call a black man out of work ,answer a thief

wat do u call a white man out of work answer they commit suicide ,

  • @jamesbond504 i dont understand what your talking about mate , i was just stating that everytime there is a video with a black person in people have to be racist in the comments, this isnt the 1920s theres no need for racism it just makes you look ignorant/pathetic . btw im white so i dont really understand what your talking about "they commit suicide" but it sounds like your trying to fight racism with racism which makes you look just as ignorant

  • tttt

  • THIS GUY IS A HOOT. ALTHOUGH WHAT HE WENT THROUGH WAS NOT RIGHT, ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE OF THE COIN, THE DIFFICULT TRIALS HE WENT THROUGH BUILT UP HIS STRONG CHARACTER. JESUS GAVE HIM THE TOOLS TO BEAT THE SYSTEM AND TO FIGHT FOR HIS FREEDOM WHICH IN THE FIRST PLACE HE SHOULD HAVE HAD, BUT TO UNLOCK AND OPEN THESE DOORS, ALL HE DID WAS KEEP CALM AND HE REALLY KNUCKLED DOWN AND CONCENTRATED ON THE TASKS AT HAND IN HIS FIGHT!!!! RUBE, WAY TO GO BIG GUY. KEEP UP YOUR GREAT WORK!!!

  • God Bless you Rubin Carter! If I could hug you right now I would. Prejudice needs to die and be erased from the dictionary. I hope you are well. Sincerely

  • Guilty or not guilty, that man standing there doesn't belong in prison

  • Oh - silly me. They are actually racist Islamophobes because I'd forgotten that Mr. Carter is a Muslim.. (as am I.)

  • Wow - I see that racist idiots still exist. I thought they all became Islamophobes but nope - a racist a-hole is a racist a-hole is a racist a-hole and I see they are quick to comment even here. They ignore the fact that the supreme court tossed the corrupt NJ trials out, huh? And the state lost the many appeals to return him to prison. THAT is proof, racists.

  • he looks like danny glover

  • Amazing, how he doesn't live his life in hate and is grateful for what he is given. A truly inspirational man who deserves credit from around the world for his heroic feats. LONG LIVE RUBIN CARTER (ignore my name, i'm not black it was a joke and i'm certainly not racist). Just watched the movie 'The Hurricane' and the courage and conviction that he shows is just absolutely incredible. Rubin Carter is a great man who has lived his life in love and patience. May God see his amazing character.PEACE

  • @NiggaBoy7thst

He was a violent thug from the age of 8 who did nothing but assault people the instant he was big enough, he was guilty of those murders beyond any doubt, and the crappy movie about him was a total work of fiction. The canadian assholes that worked to set him free realized their mistake and stopped having anything to do with him after he was released, he beat the shit out of one of the womken trying to help him, and he chimped out in canada and did a lot of other shit.

  • @Blahblobify U don't know what the hell you are talking about. If he had a sordid past, is he set in concrete forever? Do you believe people can't change? The you ought to vote in the death penalty. As for Canadians, we are much less racist, and far mor intelligent than you pig Americans

  • @skaha77

Yes, your basic core personality is set in stone by the time you're in your teens, he was a violent asshole when he was 14, he was a violent asshole at 40 during his second trial when he BEAT THE SHIT out of a woman trying to help him and laughed while he was doing it . What makes you think he's changed?

  • @Blahblobify Well I have never met the man. You don't think people can change and yu do sound like a liberal/democrat. YOU ar the folks who are saying the death penalty is a bad thing because what if the guy reforms, etc. So you contradict yourselves. may as well hang them all (3rd time perps) also, how do you know what happened that day? You choose to believe the writings of a hater and revisionist. I don't believe any of them. and (bottom line) I really don't give a damn.. Scarlet

  • @Blahblobify What sins have YOU committed? and 'chimping out' is a racist slur..

  • hey postie if u feel carter is guilty what PROOF do u have????

  • legend in my book

  • 9/11 was an inside job. All the ALLEGED terrorists were only ACCUSED, but still sent to prison.

Everyone watch "TERROR STORM 2ND EDITION" Great video clip...

  • Beamsgr I didn't know you were a secret agent? What do you really know about it other than what you have read on the Internet like everyone else? The bullet shells could have been planted there, don't be so naive friend. Remember these were very corrupt & racial times.

  • Guys - just do same basic research - take 15 minutes to research the facts of the Hurricane Carter story. He wasn't a great boxer - he had a few good fights but was on his way down when he was arrested. He had a long history of trouble with the law before his arrest. There were lots of facts, pointing to him (i.e., did you know they found bullet shells in his rental car the night of the muder consistent with the guns used in the murders). Don't decide based on a movie or a song - think!

  • @beamsgr just shut up dude..... seriously no one wants your racist ass here!

  • @beamsgr : the evidence was planted there you stupid bitch!!!

  • CUTE!! Intelligent, humble man!

  • He has a great sense of humor.. and rosa agrees!

  • I loooooooove the song "Hurricane" made by Bob Dylan to prove that Ruben Carter is innocent. I hate rascism.

  • @AnubisFanGaby99 Dylan's "facts" about the murders were all wrong and had nothing to do with the real story of the night Carter killed those people. Carter was a cold blooded killer, and Joni Mitchel was right when she called him a "jive ass nigger". She knew the facts and called Carter on it. You'll also know that Dylan no longer sings this song in concert. Facts, my friend, can be troubling to commonly held mythologies.

  • @Postie218 . Dude you an absolute tool. Dylan does not play many of his songs in concert anymore. Blowin in the wind is a more powerful song than the Hurricane ever was and he hasnt played that in 30 years among others. The song didnt prove him innocent. He was innocent.

  • @bradness23 Hello Mr Tool Idiot : So sorry, but Carter was guilty as sin, you just haven't bothered to look up the facts. So, I bid you good bye, and go fuck yourself.

  • @Postie218

exactly-the prosecutor wrote to carter and said if you will sit a lie detector test and pass, ill drop the charges.

which i have never heard of before.carter refused the test. and also,if he didnt do it,why hasnt there been anyone else arrested? why? cause they were right the first time.

  • @heathirving Yup, convicted twice and overturned on technicality, not proof of innocence.

  • @Postie218 theres also no proof of guilt.....2 convictions in a rcaist jucicial system is deff not proof of guilt...especially when the only evidence they had against the man was they were looking for a black man......i guess if i had been born 20 years earlier i woulda been a prime suspect to :)

  • @LordTariq83 Sorry man, but all your doing is making assumptions. I'd love to respond more, but don't have the desire to pursue this further. The man was convicted twice, that's proof, the rest, you should read on your own and not assume "racism" was what convicted him. It was racism that got him off. Later friend.

  • @Postie218 anybody can be be convicted twice for something they did not do. That is not proof sweetheart.

  • @laffy Well sweet cheeks, perhaps if you did a little bit of reading, I mean really read, what the evidence was and how the Dylan song twisted the truth and how the book Carter co-authored was nothing more than a pack of lies. He got away with murder sugar plum, straight and simple. If one of your relatives was one of the people he killed you wouldn't be so trusting in the lies of a sociopath. Your not from Afghanistan either., see, you know a bit about lying.

  • Justice!

  • I cannot comprehend how this man remains sane after 30 years in prison just because of others hating nature...I would have gone crazy...his story is absolutely AMAZING!!

  • ☮ Quelquefois, un drame humain peut , grâce au ciel, apporter beaucoup de bonne lumière ☮

  • hurricane carter is not a murderer and didn't deserve to be in jail for 20 years, but that doesn't mean he's not a backstabbing prick.

look up ron lipton if you know what i'm talking about. he left his best friend for dead while he's living it up making money off appearances and speeches. lipton is the one who lost his career and family to get carter out of jail

  • man i like u guys to diss this guy to his face none of u guys have will ever do some more amazing than he did like fuck u

  • nice movie you got man....

  • hey ruben its ben sparano i was in the joint with you in rahway now there starting to mess with me again dont you know how to get in touch with me

  • السلام عليكم.salam alikoum

  • hes a top boxer who was rongly convicted of murder and the website set up saying the over side of story is biggest load of bullshit ive ever seen it says he was 9th in ranking then shows a oicture that he was 7th and he jus lost a fight which was fixed so hes about 2 go down in the ranings dosent meen he went out and killed sum 1 why would he frow his carrer away 4 a stupid killing is stupidest fing ever and rubin can never get bk the years he lost where he could be enjoy being a good boxer !

  • @dermotdeakin

yeah tell that to the woman he beat the shit out of when he was out of prison during his second trial, she thinks he's a swell guy too. tell that to the guy he almost killed because he wanted his watch (from carter's own fucking autobiography). Just a charming thug with a violent history of assaults from the age of fucking 8 years old

  • rubin carter was innocent and the website made up called the over side of the story is the biggest load of bullshit ive ever read in my life u carnt see no news paper clipings properly it says he slipeed to 9th then shows that hes 7th ?? and just because he was 7th dosent meen his carrer was going dwn hill hed just lost title fight which was a fix so obviousley hes gna go down in the rankings and bein 7th in the world is hardley a bad fing y are u gona go out n shoot some 1 and loose all of that

  • Is this The Hurricane Carter, the one who fought Emile Griffith?

  • Is this The Hurricane Carter, the one who fought Emile Griffith

  • BLACK POWER!

  • @Gh0stface89 grow up

  • @slamsback09 RACIST!

  • @Gh0stface89 Actually half my family is mixed and my step dad is black 90% of my friends are black, its people like u who create Racism its 2011 that black panther shit is old and i bet ur a Rodney King activist??? it wasnt me who hit him. u could say i love my black people but if i write "White Power" on a video then id be in danger from all other races. Ur very uneducated and i admire rubin and the movie was one my fav. So do ur research man ur the one who racism falls under.

  • @slamsback09 hey man im just a white moron who likes to fool people on the internet, i dont even knoe who rodney king is, so you shouldnt be that naive and take everything so seriously what someone writes under a youtube video, so yeah your a dumbass.take this as a lesson from me. im sorry that was rude, i apologize. xD

    I LOVE CHINA! --_--

  • I wonder if the Sr.Rubin Carter has an email where to write today .. December 16, 2010, only just saw your movie, I was struck with such impunity, and I liked the final.Quiero know more about him here I see lectures, is a great human being, just talk español.gracias

  • @herneri2010 After the credits I believe it shows the name of group that Rubin Carter is affiliated with now and maybe you can find them and send him an email.

  • Reality is always more interesting than HOLLYWOOD

  • Long Live The Hurricane!!!!!

  • I am realy interested in the facts about Rubin's guilt or innocence. A lot of ppl here seem to say the same things, meaning he is very guilty or verry innocent. Frankly I have heard more about his innocence than his guilt, so please give me some references or fact so I can have facts on my research. Would realy appreciate it. Also, facts about the alleged fall out with the Canadians and Bob Dylen. Thanks.

  • @nightmoves0809 read Lazarus and the Hurricane and then read the police reports and trial transcripts. they are quire interesting. There are somethings about Mr. Carter that have been embellished but the truth is that he was wrongly convicted. He was never declared guilty. The state instead of giving a third trial and getting its image more tarnished they simply dismissed the charges. Another thing I'd read that is really moving is his speech on bitterness. You'll see that he was not a cruel man

  • @ ericssson

Why don't you go fuck yourself instead? Rubin Carter served 20 years of his life in prison convicted for a murder he did not commit. It takes guts to accomplish what Rubin did, guts that you obviously lack you incompetent fool. So you go comment on something you actually know something about.

  • I live for the day when I see a Paterson Evening News banner headline read - RUBIN CARTER SHOT - dead by a Bernard Goetz meek and mild wanna-be. It was only a technicality that freed you NOT your lying claim of innocence. If you only knew how swollen the welcoming committee for you is back in Passaic County...I do believe you'd soil yourself. Persona non grata.

  • @BigIronOnHipMan2

Yeah it's interesting that after being released the Canadian idiots that worked for his release suddenly refused to have anything to do with him, during the years of contact with him they came to realize what a crazy vilent piece of shit he was. During his second trial he beat the crap out of a woman that was working for his freedom, that's when all the hollywood stars disappeared (bob dylan included) from his support and he went back to prison.

  • @TheJomogogo

You couldn't be more wrong. He went to trial, but was never convicted of assault. The judge said he could have hit the girl, but didn't charge him or anything. Rubin even said, "If I was going to hit her, I would have killed her, no doubt about it" Not a bloody little bruise. Hurricane knocked out a horse man... Pretty sure more damage would have been done if he actually hit her...

  • @TheJomogogo " If i would have hitted her, she would drop dead, no doubt about it " Rubin Carter

  • @llaurits

Yeah all those bruises were a figment of her imagination.

Just because Carter can flatten with one puch doesn't mean he hit her with full force, he was just knocking her and kicking her about for the fun of it, smiling the entire time he was punching her..

  • when was this filmed?

  • The Hurricane is a great man who used his mind to beat the system. Stop dissing.

  • the dude is a bum and a murderer

    that movie was fiction fools

  • @ericssson Ur a fucking asshole

u dont know shit so go suck ur white dick u motherfuker

  • F%@# all u who are hating on him I would love to see you go through what that man went through. at the end of the day the THE TRUTH ALWAYS COMES OUT AND IT DID.

  • Hes not guilty- By the way the system often fails, its why we abolished the Death Penalty. Watch the movie the life of David Gayle trust me he was innocent. The coppers falsified evidence- this often happens.

    David

    PS I am a Barrister

  • I cant imagine he would have been released if there was any doubt about his innocence, if you believe he is guilty you are stupid! dont just watch the movie and make your decision! look further! hes an innocent man! so shut the fuck up and get on with it!

  • @Robertfitz88 So people can get locked up unjustly, but they can't be released unjustly? I did so much research on this thing about a year ago. Carter was definitely guilty. When he was 14 years old he was once arrested for stabbing a man. his response to the police..."I stuck that man everywhere except for his feet." Btw, Reuben Carter was never exonerated. In fact he has never even fought for his exoneration. he was released on a technicality.

  • Carter is a killer for revenge of the death of the black man that is the truth, watch the move closely you will see he guilt himself believe or not, for me there is nothing will change my mind, and it’s so shame how that killer distort an honourable man name.

  • @nertorta you are "funny"! I've realised that you just registered in youtube to comment Rubin Carter related videos. Is this personal to you? It seems to be! You are so eager to say that he is guilty and a murderer.

  • @nertorta U can go fuck urself

and try to go throught what he did all his life u motherfucker

i should just come and throw u the fuk to jail and spit in ur face

  • yes he is guilty even the move has points proves he is guilty, if you chose to ignore the truth that is your purgative

  • fuck you carter

    you guilty cocksucker

  • @ericssson idiot!

  • Carter's defenders have seized on a few inconsistencies in the case, but if you look at the big picture, it fits together. He's guilty."

  • @nertorta, not really. There's no where near enough evidence to say his guilt was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Not only was there no real physical evidence but Carter doesn't fit the original descriptions that eyewitnesses gave and the eyewitnesses all failed to identify Carter until some time after he and his friend was first arrested. I'll admit that there was some evidence, but not nearly enough for a valid conviction in this country.

  • In private, the lone surviving victim of the 1966 Lafayette Grill shootings positively identified Rubin "Hurricane" Carter and John Artis as the gunmen, according to the his brother and some friends. The movie falsely portrays the man as indicating they were innocent. That never happened.

  • Shoplifting (1946) Vandalism (1946) Theft Paterson, NJ (21-Mar-1949) Theft (May-1951) Assault (25-Jun-1951) Robbery (25-Jun-1951) Escaped from Prison State Home for Boys (1-Jul-1954) AWOL Insubordination Dishonorable Discharge (May-1956) Robbery (2-Jul-1957) Assault (2-Jul-1957) Inciting a Riot (3-Jan-1961) Polygraphed (17-Jun-1966) Murder (convicted 1967) Assault (9-Apr-1970) Assault (29-Apr-1976)

  • Carter was set free in condition to leave USA that was not mentioned, and if he really was innocents

Why he was afraid of suing the state of New Jersey? He said he did not want to sue because they may put him back in Jill so many people tried to help him but they gone when they knew he was guilty

  • He is guilty he lied changed his story asked his friend to lie for him, he was man full of hate and anger

against racism carter took upon himself to punish the bar owner who did not allow black people to set and have a drink, carter deserved what he got, if you took a close look at the move you will see he was violent and full of haters

  • @nertorta id be angry too if i were opressed by white people from age1

  • @XDdizzie ya but that wont give you th right to kill innocent people if that how we solve our problem the world would been no Place to live ,violence lead to more violence and hate lead to more hate. what reallu upsets me is to treat a killer like hero. he killed the innocent and got what he desrved end of story.

  • @nertorta ,shut the fuck up u son of a bitch

.ASShole,., fucking racists mother fucker, i kill u bitch, a im white asshole........... i hate all those fucker from the KKK, all those stupid assholes.. white powerr my assssssssssssssssssssssss

  • @TheMrbeto28 no I am not shutting up roubin carter is a killer there was Witnesses who saw him And proves the weapon in his car the man who survived and he was just like you full of haters and as I see is you will end up in same road, for you to ignore the proves and the truth it won’t make it go away carter is a killer no doubt it cuold be the hate is blinding you or you just dont want to see the trouth by the way I am black and I was born in 1944

  • The move was just a polish to make carter look innocent, he is guilty read the book, police records

Carter and john story did not match for him to be framed that means so many people lied which impossible to make all those different people to lie he is soooo guilty

  • The move was just a polish to make carter look innocent, he is guilty read the book, police records

Carter and john story did not match for him to be framed that means so many people lied which impossible to make all those different people to lie he is soooo guilty

  • 1st Carter was innocent , 2nd even if he were guilty he spent more time in prison then most people convicted of murder and 3rd why didn't NJ go for a third conviction? Answer... they were going to loose, plain and simple.

  • In our system of justice we all have to live within the confines of the civil and criminal arenas. Unfortunately, for the unlucky few, justice is not the final outcome.

My song is dedicated to Alan Mackerley who was wrongly convicted in the criminal arena of the 1996 murder of Frank Black in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Alan now sits in a Flordia Prison, an innocent man.

    Just like rubin did.

  • I would rather meet rubin then denzel washington.

  • Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter may have been convicted guilty twice but its was buy two all white jurys wich were most probably full of racist men and women yeah he made mistaked but he is no murderer and two eye witness said a couple years after him being convicted to jail that they would be helped out in there own wrong doing if they said that Rubin and his friend John Artiss

  • @XDdizzie

You saw the movie and believed it was real that's sad, everything you said is bullshit read The Hurricane Hoax and get the true story. All white juries? Do you believe everything you see in a movie dumbass? There was never any doubt about carters guilt.

  • google "rubin carter graphic witness"

  • guilty. twice.

  • Only a(racist,Nazi?) moron would claim outright that Rubin Carter was guilty. There were no eyewitnesses until months after the crime when a criminal mysteriously changed his mind and identified Carter as the perpetrator. This so-called witness also robbed the establishment where the murders occured. No fingerprints were taken (or at least not Carter's,anyway). And to claim a polygraph as evidence-holy shit! Polygraphs are an embarrassment in a civilized society. We might as well use tarot cards.

  • There was actually quite a bit of evidence pointing towards his guilt. He failed a lie detector test and some witnesses admitted to lying about an alibi. When he was given a third trial, most of the witnesses and so forth involved with the case were dead/too old,; he was actually released on a technicality. I'm not saying he did it or not, I'm just saying it didn't just seem like some people saying "we gotta git that nigger" to me. There's a reason why Bob Dylan doesn't sing that song anymore.

  • @Frowned because hes free?

  • @normalkuriboh

No because Carter was guilty. He was never "proven" innocent as the idiots claim, he was granted a third trial but after 25 years all the witnesses were dead and he was up for parole anyway so they quietly released him. The movie was a work of fiction nothing in it happened the way it was portrayed. Carter was a lifelong dangerous violent sociopath who hurt a lot of people starting at age 8. There was never any question about his guilt.

  • You ar an idiot

  • @edustos22

Google "The Hurricane Hoax" and get the real story dumbass. Educate yourself.

  • @TheJomogogo is dumbarse the only insult u got????

  • @TheJomogogo You are and idiot

  • why do they call he hurricane

  • @Lik3BoSs He got that name from his boxing career.

  • a pure ledgend to boxing

  • @RosscoRussell wrong black guy

  • I saw the movie, I liked it. According to the movie he was innocent, even if he wasn't nobody can't deny there was a lot of injustice and racism to black people back then, so I easily I can believe he was frame too.

  • @PAVOTOWEL

Wow you saw a movie and thought it was all real and the way it happened how sad.. The movie was a complete work of fiction idiot.

  • @TheJomogogo no it wasn't you fucking moron pahaha

  • @TheJomogogo i'm sorry but you are wrong, Rubin Carter really existed and he also has been in prison for 30 years, and he was REALLY innocent, so the film they made about him is not fiction, it really happened --> i'm so sorry but you are the idiot

  • @Koen290493

Yes I know Carter existed dumbass but the movie was a work of fiction all the Hollywood "facts" are bullshit. Got it now ?

  • @TheJomogogo dude ur a faggot evryone has an opinion stop insulting everybody go make use of ur words

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • evisto la pelicula que trata de su historia..esta muy buena me gusto su final.........justo "h" valdez......

  • @jonatam54 lol, duh

  • god is good, and im glad this brotha is out of prison

  • Guys shut the hell up, he's a innocent guy and he has been in a prison for over 30year for something he never did... its crazy! he was a peacefull man

  • @n0rwayDude he might have been wrongfully imprisoned but he was far from peaceful friend...read his book

  • @n0rwayDude he is a killer and got what he deserved

  • @n0rwayDude are you stupid read about the jerk

  • @n0rwayDude how the fuck do you know

read is life for fuck sake he was a no good cock sucker

  • Tony, the Federal Court dismissed the case and dropped all charges after the prosection tried to get Carter back in prison. A federal judge ordered his release and clearly stated that he was a free man.

Besides, the 24 jurors whom found him guilty were probably racist. This was a racial matter. The believed he committed those murders because the colour of his skin. Also, at the time, the police for was corrupt. They tampered with evidence to get a conviction, this is called "perjury."

  • stfu talking big online?

  • CARTER WAS FRAMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think he's innocent, but even if he is guilty, where would we get? He's NEVER going to be re trialled, it's pretty much a dead case as far as the court of law in concerned. Besides there's allot more guilty people walking the streets, and innocents behind bars, one case isn't going to change that. Carter is just a statistic.

  • Again, it's all too late now. He's free. And name one crime he's commited since being free?

  • @PrOzAcUsEr666 Dude u shoud at least Know the story be4 u start talking, he was innocent and they sent him to jail 4 a crime he didn't commit

  • @PrOzAcUsEr666 : Boneheaded statement. He was innocent. Why do you think they dismissed the 3 life sentences they gave him?

  • Watch the real fight right on youtube Giardello did not bean the crap out of film at all but the fight did look like a draw or a win going either way. So the movie is wrong for making it look like he destroyed joey because thats not the case. but its a movie thats what they do.

  • este hombre se merece todo es un heroe un luchador su pelicula me ha ehco llorar

    gracias huracan

  • great story about Rubin and Sonny Liston

  • Its a very big deal for a freed man to "be proclaimed of his innocence". Just ask Barry Scheck. In many cases seperate trails are needed after a man is freed to declare this. Most freed prisoners insist on it. Carter has never been announced innocent, and has never cared. He got off, and he knows it.

  • great guy...came to my school on oct. 1st...

    great speaker, got his autograph..

and my school's team name is the hurricanes so

  • so did he tell you how he managed to fool everyone?

  • no but he told me you're a white racist faggot....

do u have ANY proof? or are you just one of those kkk fags in this world that need to die?

  • Good retort.......ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • Many accounts in Hirsch's book have been refuted many times over. Such as Rubins meeting with Stephen Biko, his civil rights work, the fake child molestation story, on and on it goes. One big fable after another. HIrsch writes many books like this. Black and white, man overcometh. Too bad he sacrifices truth and fact for dollars and fame.

Ask any good Attorney or Doctor and they will tell you to get a second opinion. Read up and the real truth will come to you.

  • Carter has got a few screw loose to say the least......not sure if it is from the ring or not?

  • Carter was a street thug.

We will never know what happened that night.....three people died.

If Carter didnt do it, who did?

  • Carter's supporters insinuate that eyewitness Pat Valentine changed her testimony, that at first she described Carter's car as "similar" to the getaway car, then later described it as "identical." (221) Hirsch writes that at the first trial, "[Valentine] specifically said she could not identify Carter's white Dodge as the escape car. Now, ten and a half years later, Valentine was certain that Carter's car was the getaway vehicle.

  • An all-points bulletin is issued for a white car with "two colored males." "Officers Capter and deChellis had spotted a white car followed by a black car speeding out of Paterson. The officers gave chase, jumping on Route #4 heading toward New York, but they never saw the cars again. So they had returned to Paterson when they saw and stopped Carter's car

Questioned by the police on the night of the shooting, Bello said he couldnt identify the assailants. "But suddenly his memory had improved."

  • Read Hurricane: The life of Rubin Carter by James S. Hirsch and try to tell me this man was guilty. People think they know the evidence from his trial, they don't. When Hirsch collected the witness statements, transcripts, and pyhsical evidence, it was blatant that Rubin and Artis were innocent. give me a few posts for this

  • Google Cal Deal's website devoted to the case and instead of automatically accepting Carter's version as gospel. Carter's book is comical as is the movie. I'm from Paterson and know plenty of people associated with the case. Carter is a sociopath and belongs in prison.
