Not a idol fan. But this was good, really. Although I like the original from Tears for Fears best. This version is very haunting and ethereal. I like Adams Voice period. I answered this same question on another video. I know Adam personally. He did win. He had the most votes. But he was already receiving so many deals from record companies that he told the producers that IF he won, to say that Kris won so that Kris could get a shot. Adam already had his future set. He just wanted Kris to have the same opportunity. They told him before the show he had more votes. But he made them say Kris won.

Gary Jules did a fine job on covering Tears for Fears, it's a new take on the song. Though this here is just a cheap editing of Gary Jules' rendition to make it sound theatrical and play on the good feeling Gary Jules' rendition has given people lately. Generally, one cheap way to musically win people over, take a slow song that's been popular in the last 4 years and make a theatrical cover. I think this version is worse than Gary's...
