  • Cool I should try that on my brother 2007 Toyota Camry LE

  • this guy is asian you just tell

  • so what happens when you turn the car off and lock all doors? what colour do you see light up? amber/white

  • @111513 When you lock the doors, locking confirmation shows white. It is ONLY amber when turn signals or hazards are used

  • I installed the 60-led's from 3bspec and they were blowing my fuses the second I turned on my lights. I even installed the led-flasher relay! Going to downgrade to the 39-led model to see if that doesn't blow my fuse.

  • U shoulda got the switchback turn signals (front) that blink amber and white but its still nice!

  • Comment removed

  • hey i have a 09 lancer i have purchased the switch backs for the front turns but they are jus working as normal turnsignals how do i get them to stay on white, then switch over to amber for the turn signals

  • @mikemillz112 The reason mine stays white and turns amber when turn signals/hazards are used is because the turn signals are also my parking lights. When headlights are on, the lights are on. When turn signals are used, they blink. Your Lancer may have separate parking lights. Your turn signals are just turn signals. If you have other lights (usually orange) that turn on with the headlights, that is your parking light. If so, I suggest returning the switchbacks as it is of no use to you.

  • Were youre tail lights the G2 or regular?

  • @ArmaniAttack My taillights are 1st Generation LED taillights.

  • @dcemureviews Sweet. Plan on buying those. My dad is letting me have his camry soon. Everything on it is factory right now. It's the metallic grey color one. (2009 camry i think). I plan on doing some modifications to it for myself, what would you recommend? I don't plan on adding LEDs like you did in a lot of places just simpler mods. so far im going to probably put those tail lights.. (maybe) and tint the windows. probably take of hubcaps and put on some rims too,

  • whats the advantage?

  • @TmNTechnical Less strain on your battery since it uses less power and you don't have to worry about replacing. If you leave your lights on by accident, you don't have to worrying about walking to a dead battery.

  • @dcemureviews Thanks man, nicely done btw!

  • hey i am trying to get halo headlights like i think u have for my 2011 toyota camry do uk where i can possibly get them from?

  • @nbhatt786 I do NOT have halo headlights nor would I ever put them on my car. My headlights are OEM but retrofitted and modded with Acura TSX projectors/HIDs. Aftermarket headlights are cheap and crap. eBay has plenty of them.

  • I have 2009 Camry and am having trouble finding a DIY guide to installing the Flasher Module any chance you could help? thanks!!!

  • @jonnielsen24 Read video description for link to ToyotaNation. The Master List of LEDs thread at TNation has link to DIY guide for Flasher Module. Or go to my CarDomain. It has DIY guide as well. Link is in video description

  • ok cool thanks man

  • your right how where you get your lights like that a shop in new york or something because i live in philly not that far from ny i just wanna mod my car but not void my warrenty i hate the yellow lights

  • @barvenstrife Do a google search for headlight retrofitters. 2 companies that pop up in my head is customlightz and lightwerkz. Retrofitting your headlight is not cheap and can cost you $700-1000. This includes HID parts, labor, bulbs, ballast and harness. I bought an extra set of OEM headlights so I can still drive my car while headlights was being modified.

  • ok well big ups man car looks great i might get angel eyes for mines and the same led taillights

  • @barvenstrife I warn you now, avoid aftermarket headlights. They are crap and cheap. You're wasting money.

  • im not sure but are your lights a hid kit or just regular bulbs

  • @barvenstrife I stated it in my video. My headlights are custom retrofitted. No regular bulbs and it is not a HID kit. Headlight lens is from Acura TSX. My headlight bulbs are no longer H11. It is now D2S

  • ok thanks even if you install a hid kit ?

  • @barvenstrife Yes

  • will it void the warrenty if you changed to led lights?

  • i cant stand that steering wheel cover...take that thing off, it will ruin your streering wheel (I detailed for 3 years)

  • What are the taillights on the trunk? Eagle eye? And how hard were they to install?

  • @Br0wnB3ast Yes, taillights on the rear are by Eagle Eye. Installation was not hard. To make it easier for yourself is to loosen rear bumper because OEM taillights has a clip that is under the bumper. If you don't want to loosen bumper, you'll have to break the clip off the taillight. Doing this may also damage bumper. There are DIY and tutorials on ToyotaNation on how to remove rear bumper and how to install taillights.

  • @dcemureviews okay thanks, and where are the reverse lights? they disappeared

  • @Br0wnB3ast Go watch the video our video for the Full LED conversion. We have link to reverse light in the video description of that video. It does NOT have to be that same exact LED. So as long the size is the same, you can purchase an LED that is HIGH POWERED or one with more LEDs for more brightness. It's all on your personal preference on how bright you want it. Just don't skimp on price.

  • Nicely done......I find that switching the turn signal to LED just makes it pointless... especially going through the trouble adding a module to it... and than start having problems with the led strips on the bulb.... but props to what you've done to your Camry.

  • @TuneUpBoy13 I don't find it pointless. Why? Unlike some vehicles where the turn signal bulb is easily accessible through engine bay, Camry is reachable via front wheel well, so I would need to shove my hand inside. If regular bulb blows, I have to replace it where as LEDs, I do not. Secondly, LEDs requires less voltage = less strain on battery. LEDs are also brighter than stock bulbs.

I've had LEDs on my car for a year and no problems at all.

  • @dcemureviews Your right leds do produce less voltage, but think of it as this if it puts less strain on the battery wouldn't they come with the car stock? Yes LEDs are bright but the output of light is less. These light bulbs usually provide direct light and do not scatter light. On top of LED comes with multiple bulbs so if the life span of that one bulb is up then your pretty much stuck with bulbs that are blown out like Christmas lights. All in all its in your own taste.

  • @TuneUpBoy13 Because manufacturers such as Toyota has not put LEDs until now. Toyota finally put LED taillights on 2010+ Camry's. Usually luxury cars will have LED but more and more auto makers are putting LED. The only reason why they are slow at adding them is probably because of cost. As stated, luxury cars such as Audi will have LEDs. The price you pay for the car explains it.

  • @dcemureviews again my point goes to show that its not a proven fact that it puts less strain on your battery; yes the out put of it requires less voltage but that doesn't = less strain on battery; keep in mind the things you need to add onto the car to run LEDs. Speaking of AUDI's what you are paying for isn't for the quality of the car but for the style and for the name of the manufacture. Yes it is pricey to have LEDs another reason why I wouldn't bother installing LED light bulbs.

  • did you have to do any modifications for the amber to white led turn signal? or did you just buy the led light bulb and plug it in? (I have a 07 camry se)

  • @dorkboi Its explained in the video description. In order to prevent hyper flashing, you MUST either purchase a LED flasher module and replace the original unit or install load resistors. Installing load resistors requires tapping (splicing) into turn signal wires. Video description has links to DIY/tutorials.

  • Hey what kind lights u have for the headlights an the fog lights

  • @Robertmh2003 I already stated what lights my headlights are in the video. Its custom retrofitted with TSX HID headlights. HIDs are D2S bulbs. Fogs are MTECH Super White H11's

  • I have a 2009 Toyota Camry LE. Will it not work if I just buy the White/Amber led light and plug and replace my stock DRL bulbs. Due to lack of education to take out the instrument cluster and replacing anything back there. Or do I HAVE to get the LED flasher unit?

  • @xsa0xla0x I do not suggest putting LEDs in place of DRLs because you lose high beams, you wont pass inspections and it is not safe for other drivers, civilians and yourself.

  • @dcemureviews Oh im sorry i meant stock turn signals, and note I do still have the stock headlight cover housing which is amber cover for the turn signals, which I dont know if it will look right with white led output through amber lenses.

  • @xsa0xla0x The light behind the amber cover on the side of the headlights is a separate bulb. If you're replacing turn signals with LEDs, you MUST install LED flasher module or install load resistors. Not installing any of these will result in hyperflashing (blinker blinking fast as if the bulb is blown).

If you read video description, I have link to DIY (Do-It-Yourself)/Tutorials to ToyotaNation.

  • what kind of head unit do you have?

  • @lospareintes1218 Headunit is factory Nav

  • Too bad it's a Toyota...

  • acura/honda ftw

  • Did he say "Inside the clit" @ 0:06

  • @ThePakiSami Actually, its "cluh". As you can tell, I was stuttering a little in the beginning.

  • whats up man!

im just wondering if you can tell me whats the proper way to take the rear dome light case off. i just wanna change the stock bulb to led.

  • whats up man!

im just wondering how did you take the rear dome light case off.

coz im trying to take it off to change to stock light into led but im afraid i might break it. what is the proper way to take it off?

  • @simangan22 Just pull it down. It will require some force.

  • yea ur definately right.. i'll just install them in the back thanks a lot man

  • so it basically doesnt matter where u install the resistor either back or front.. as long as they're attached to the wires that lead to rear signals right?

  • @catrachito4rmminas Correct. The front and back on left (driver) side share the same wires. The front and back on right (passenger) side share the same wires. So you can install in the front or back. I chose the back because its easily accessible. If installed on the front, you will have to remove front bumper and headlights. Its also exposed to potential water as well.

  • hey i got a good question... where do u set the resistor? do u just let it hang?

  • @catrachito4rmminas My resistors were installed in the rear. When you open the trunk, there is an opening that gives you access to bulbs if they ever get burnt out. Inside, there is a bolt/screw that is sticking out, I placed the resistor on this bolt/screw and found a nut that had the same thread size to prevent it from falling out. My resistors are also mounted on a mounting plate specifically for resistors.

  • and get some black rims on your car man...shit will look dopeeee

  • hey man, i got a question, im thinking about installing these in my 05 altima, but is it required to put in the load resistor? how do i know whether i shud put one in or not?

  • @navidb7 Its more than likely going to need a load resistor. Only way to find out is buy the LEDs and see if it hyper flashes. If it does, you need load resistor. If it doesnt, than you're good. But all LEDs uses low voltage so the car will think a normal filament bulb is in there and think its out.

  • @dcemureviews oh i see, thanks a lot i appreciate the help. you got a nice camry btw. the tailights are sick

  • can you tell me how to install the front led turn signal ?

  • @loveleesr Through the wheel well and put your hand inside and reach for the bulb.

  • does dont blow the fuse up did you get those from v leds if i get those is just the bulb right....

  • @mk3supra12 No blown fuses. I installed load resistors. LEDs were purchased from vleds.

  • are those the ck type2 switchbacks

  • @mk3supra12 Yes they are

  • Do I need this resistor to use LED turn signals or brake lights in all cars? What happen if I just change the normal bulb to a LED one? I have a 98' car and would like to upgrade it to the XXI Century.

    Nice Camry, btw, sweet!

  • @CTitoRacing More than likely you will as LEDs uses less wattage than regular bulbs. If you just change regular bulbs to LED without resistors, your turn signals will hyperblink (blink fast)

  • Could you make a video on how to change the reading lights? I cant get the cover off. thanks

  • @airwong94 There is a DIY link and tutorial at ToyotaNation.

  • Hey,

For your front switchback leds, did you just plug in the switchback bulbs and you were good or were there wiring modifications that you had to do.

Hope to hear a reply soon.

    Alan

  • @Alan318 Its stated in the video. Bulbs are plug and play but you need to install load resistor or replace flasher module behind instrument cluster to prevent hyper flashing (where lights blink quick)

  • @dcemureviews Can you make a video on how you installed this flasher module, im a real noob and dont know what it is and how it works.....

  • @Alan318 If you click on video description, go to my Cardomain link and I have a tutorial with pictures. The Master LED list at ToyotaNation also has link to DIY.

  • Hey man, I bought the same rear turn signals as you have in your description, But mine dont want to fit right. The one I bought from v-leds have 4 wires but the old one only had 2 wires. Did you modify the bulb or something? Thanks in advance.

  • @jtjoser I did not modify anything. It was all plug and play with the exception of having to install load resistors so signals dont hyper flash.

  • Usually if you turn on you drls, does the turn signals also come on? I'm just wondering if I do get the switchbacks, I'm afraid that it won't turn blue because my turn signals only come on when I use them. They usually don't stay on.

  • @vashdastampedet Yes. If you turn on DRLs, the parking lights (turn signals) turn on. If you do not have your headlights or DRL on, turn signals only come on. See my other video on the interior and exterior LED lights. I have DRLs on in that video

  • @dcemureviews Is that for all cars? I have a Infiniti FX35 and my turn signals don't come on unless I use them for turning. Even if I have my DRL or my headlights on it stays off until usage. So if I install the switch back will it light up white/blue when I turn on DRL or headlights? Thanks for the reply.

  • @vashdastampedet More than likely not because its not dual filament. Your turn signals is a turn signal. Its not a parking light also. On the Camry, its a turn signal and parking light. Originally, everything is amber. So when I have my DRL or headlights on, it stays orange. When I use turn signals, instead of being steady orange, it blinks.

  • nice set up.quick question how can i get those led front signal light they are cool.

  • @CHOCKYSTYLE Look at the video description. I have a link directly to the bulbs.

  • what is the type of bulb for the rear turn signal for Camry 2009 ?

I want to buy LED bulbs for the rear turn signals .. but I dunno the type

do I need resistors for them to work properly

  • @Momadino Click on the video description underneath the video. I gave the LED bulb # for the rear turn signal

    Rear turn signals (7440/7443)

Yes, you need load resistor or LED electronic flasher module. All the info is in the video description or on ToyotaNation under the MASTER LIST OF LEDS BULB SIZES AND DIYS/TUTORIALS FOR INTERIOR/EXTERIOR.

  • nice stufff but i need to know if i change my front turn signals to led do i have to add something or it's only plug and go, thanks

  • As stated in video and video description by clicking on MORE INFO, you need to replace flasher module or install load resistors with t-taps.

  • TSX retrofits?? why do you need those for??

  • @athomas2k8 - Because its true HID and not those plug and play HID kits. Plus it has better output.

  • Good job!! do you think V-LEDs are brighter than factory bulbs at day time ( turning bulbs ) .. please let me know am planing to change my turning bulb to either LEDs or chrome bulb btw i have a Mazda3

  • I think factory bulbs are still brighter than LEDs. However, LEDs uses less power and looks much better when in use. Just make sure you get 48+ LEDs in order for it to be visible during the day.

  • @pleasetellme22 - Actually, the more LEDs on the bulb, the brighter it is. When LEDs are used on turn signals, you wont get the bright reflection off signs or cars. Thats what I meant to say. I went with LEDs because it uses less voltage than stock bulbs. I can leave the map light on in my car for a couple of days and still be able to start my car. With factory bulbs, your battery is dead the next day.

  • can you do a night video for your car?

  • Will do it when I have time and when the weather is nice out.

  • thanks

  • car looks sweet

  • If reverse bulbs, no. Because you're not driving your car backwards unless you're parking. And for $4, it wont last long and it wont be bright. Any color other than white will not be white.

  • how much did you pay for yours? 50 a set or bulb or whatever? im sorry im asking so many questions bro its just that ive wanted to do this for a while but people said that i couldnt do it.

  • Yes, reverse were $30 or so. As stated in video and description, lives and safety is involved for both yourself and other motorists. You do not skimp on brightness. Price you pay is what you'll get. Buy a cheap priced LED and you'll get a dim cheap LED.

  • great and thanks again man i really appreciate it, but i do have one more question....can i replace my running lights with those blue HD bulbs?? a car shop told me that i would get the color blue but that i wouldnt get the projection....something about the camrys bulb being behind a lens?

  • DO NOT change your DRL lights to LED or any other color. Its illegal and you lose your High Beams and might even fail inspection.

  • if you think that im talking about changing them to actual blue LEDs thats not what im talking about. im talking about changing it to the those really bright lights that apear blue but when you get closer to it its just a really bright white. like the lights on your car or on a new lexus or something like that

  • If you're talking about HIDs. Thats still a NO.

DRLs run at a lower wattage so even if you were to put HIDs that are blue, it wouldnt be blue unless you have high beams on.

  • u should get a 5000k or 6000k hid kit for your headlights so they match the color of ur new parking lights

  • u should also get clear side markers... little things like that will make ur car hella bustin

  • hey man nice car. i got the same one except its not the SE. really regret not getting the SE lol but anyway, is it an extreme hassle changing your turn signals the way that you have them? and is it hard to change the trunk lights to bright white?

  • Changing the turn signals are not hard but you will need to install load resistors or change electronic flasher module. My link to ToyotaNation has DIY (Do-It-Yourself) tutorials on both.

As for the trunk lights, you can only get the kits from me. I sell them. Its plug and play. I did the hard part by modifying them. All you have to do is open my package, remove original bulb, figure out how you want to mount them and plug in the bulb.

  • how much for a bulb and where in the U.S are you

  • Its on the license plate...New York.

Click on MORE INFO to the right of the video. There is a link to my CarDomain page. Trunk cathode light kits are $45 including shipping and tracking to domestic US. Add $2 more for insurance. $55 for International (no tracking) and $10 more for Express Mail and tracking.

  • no sorry i wasnt clear. i meant the reverse lights. and can they handle intense vibration?

  • If you look at the video description, there is a link to MASTER LED OF LEDS that I setup. It tells you what bulbs you need and where to get. I have another video that shows interior and exterior of my lights.

I dont know if the bulbs will handle intense vibrations. Its something you'll have to buy and try out yourself.

  • ok great i found some on superbriteleds theyre about 4 bucks a bulb. do you think cops would give me shit about them being blue? cause with that price i might as well buy 2 blue and 2 white. ill post a video of all the lights that i have. i replaced the dome and courtesy door light to blue leds and i want to stick to the color

  • Could you make a video on how to change the cluster light bulbs to led please? Do you just change the light bulbs or is there a dash insert? I'd prefer just to change light bulbs if possible.

Also where should I buy? Does schucks have them or do I have to go to ebay?

    Thanks bunches.

  • If you're talking about the instrument cluster, the are LEDs. If you wan more information about how to change them or have the skills/balls to try, go to ToyotaNation (link is in video and in video description). There are DIY and info on LEDs.

  • I never understood the idea behind retrofitting... Why is it necessary to retrofit HID's on a car that already has projectors?

  • Because the stock lights are halogen. Putting PNP (plug and play) HID kits produces glare and is hazardous to other drivers. Retrofitting is the safest and better. Its like taking HID off a BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Infiniti, Acura and putting it on your car. Go to HIDplanet for more information about retrofitting

  • i replaced my turn signals on my camry to leds and i put on the load resistors but the the lights dont stay on when when the flashers are off and i checked the fuse it was burned out but ever time i replace it the fuse burns out. got any suggestions.

  • You sure you got the SWACK version? Which load resistors did you get and where did you place them. I have load resistors that supports 4 LEDs. I installed them on the rear.

  • im pretty sure they are swack and the load resistor i have is 6 Ohm/50watt. how did u install your front turn signals did u use a load resistor

  • I did not install load resistors on the front. The load resistors I installed are 3 OHM 50W 4 BULB LED. This allows you to run 4 LEDs with the use of only 2 resistors. I installed my resistors in the rear. The one you have is for 2 LEDs. The left side uses the same wiring and the right side uses the same that is why I used the 4 LED resistor.

  • so u have front and back leds and u use one load resistor for each light. my turn signals in the back are stock but the front ones are leds and when i make a left or right they light up but they dont light up constant when there not in use.

  • As stated in the video, I have front and rear LEDs. I used 1 load resistor for each side in the rear. Like I said, the left side uses the same wiring for the front and back. The right side uses the same wiring for the front and back. Your headlights or DRL has to be turned on inorder for the lights to be white. If your headlights are off, it wont turn on.

  • drls are on but the lights dont light up and i check the fuse it burned out but everytime i replace it the fuse burns out

  • Than I dont know why its doing that.

  • k thanks for your help im just probably going to put the stock lights back

  • 50$ for LED's :S !!!

  • Got it! Thanks for your quick responds...

  • I have a 07 SE Camry. Is the switchback led turn signal a plug & play, no modification require? Before I order from V-LEDs, I saw this comment: If you have a standard socket and try installing this bulb may cause a dead short and blow your fuse or will not light on the parking element. Does this apply to my Camry? Where do you get your flasher module from? BTW: Nice ride!

  • Bulbs are plug and play. But in order for them to work properly, you need either a flasher module or install load resistors. Make sure the front bulbs are SWACK type.

That comment applies to all cars. Flasher module can be bought from superbrightleds or vleds. Link to DIY and information is in the MASTER LED thread at toyotanation.

  • Nice , thx

  • You changed the assembly of the tail lights coming from ebay. Did the flashing speed change? as well as the LED you replaced. Do you need to change something on the relay switches? I'm planning to change mine and Im not decided if ill change both head and tail lights assembly my worry is it may cause substandard for state DMV laws.

  • Flashing speed did not change because I changed my flasher module. Flasher module is ONLY needed for turn signals (front and rear). My taillights worked fine with OEM flasher module. My headlights housing is stock with retrofitted TSX headlights and painted black. Taillights are SAE and DOT approved. Both street legal and abide state laws.

Plug and play HID kits are illegal as it does not have a cut off line and can blind drivers. But cops are not strict about it.

  • Nice job dude. You are the man. I love how when the front siginals are not in use they are white...that's amazing!

  • nice nice i need someone to paint my headlight housing :D

  • Excellent video.
