I've heard before that sharks have exceptional good vision when it comes to light/dark contrast. I suppose they use it sort of like a terminal guidance system on a missile. That is, they use smell to home in on the target area & sight for the final approach.

Well the problem and issue with tv shows is that they edit things out to make the show interesting. I don't know for sure, but they might have done more tests and it just didn't make it through editing. So we can't really discredit them, but it's also a bit questionable.

The sharks in Deep Blue Sea were genetically modified. This myth isn't authentically tested as they did not genetically modify these sharks the same way as in the movie. Mythbusters busted!!!!

No, the myth is so pointless that it really is hard to understand why it needed to be tested. What kind of dumbass would believe that they couldn't see things above the surface and why exactly wouldn't they be able to see it? Light doesn't travel differently for them.

Actually we can see things from underwater to above water. It's a very small window, and it's thanks to properties that light has, not of some physical trait that we have.

This myth should not even be tested. Had they mentioned that the sharks in Deep Blue Sea were genetically engineered to have a larger brain and a lot more intelligence, they would have known this is not a correct source on info.
