  • wtf is this?

  • @chewysen Direct copy of the description: Another tutorial from Video Copilot. This time around Andrew Kramer shows us how to do some advanced camera movements and rotations between 2 or more objects...and how to make a really cool spore-looking thing.

  • When using the tut, do you use his project settings?

    Or make it HD?

Because your HD is always so sharp.

  • 1280x720, 30 frames per second, square pixels. I don't do anything that's not HD, I'm a quality freak.

And if you like this, check out the newest one I just posted, SureTarget Advanced Targetting. It turned out awesome.

  • Yeah i saw.

Andrew kramer is just so awesome

  • Vegas is my preferance for editing videos, but After Effects wins out 100 times over for effects work, no doubt. You should check out his tutorials, you'll learn a TON. Seriously, take a look at the other videos in the "After Effects Dump" playlist on my channel.

  • After effects is not an editing suite, it shouldn't even be mentioned when talking about editing, its strength is in compositing and effects, and color grading..

  • Ooook, did you even read my comment? "Vegas is my preferance for editing videos" "After effects wins [...] for effects work". I don't know if you were reiterating what I said or contradicting me, but if it was the latter then you should read better. If the former, then thank you.

  • Yhea i read it thats why i said what i said.. did u read what i said? because it sounded like u compared the both program (ei: AE win for effects) how can vegas be the "preffered"? when there is nothing else to compare it with. Since u CAN'T compare it with AE because they are completely different programs. Sorry it sounded redundant to me... Its like saying Oranges are my favorite types of oranges.. your welcome.

  • You know there are hundreds of different types of oranges?

Vegas, Windows Movie Maker, iMovie...the list goes on for editors. Vegas is my preferred because it's the one I like best. After effects is the best for effects work, but there are also tons of programs you can use for that, like Max, Cinema 4D, etc. There are hundreds of things to compare it to.

And, different types of oranges, to name a few: naval, mandarin, blood...etc.

  • Apparently u don't get the point, the oranges metaphor i used is simply a mental illustration its not to be taken into detail... Second vegas should never be mentioned in comparison with After effects, they are two different programs.. And After effects should also Never be compared to 3D Max, Cinema 4D, Houdini, or Modo because AE is a compositing program and the latter are 3D programs and modeling software... Again just thought u should know they have diff. purposes.

  • Different means to achieve the same goal. Sure Max and C4D are 3D programs, but they can easily be used as compositing programs...I've done it.

  • LOL hahaha c4D and 3D max are not compositing programs... how did you composite? All there is is 3D tools and a reference background... 0.o

Again they have different purposes.. vegas AE and C4D are completely different programs made for different tasks.

  • Lol Haha it's clear that you don't know what you're talking about, really. Or maybe you do and you're just being dumb, but really. Check out my site (infectionist [dot] com) and go to the forums, show off, compositing in Halo 3. I did those in Cinema 4D. And if you're too lazy to look then don't complain at me anymore, it's your own ignorance.

  • LOL i won c4D and 3D max, im a freelance graphic designer cinematographer and vfx/compositing artist. I think i may know a little about this subject. i knew it i knew it would just be 3D text dude thats not actual compositing, when someone says compositing and After effects they mean adding all the effects and finishing the shot, this is compositing:

    watch?v=5isIxVYP7SI&feature=related

  • Compositing is the process of adding elements into a scene that weren't int he scene originally, often to give the illusion that the added elements were in the original scene. You can composite in ANY program that does video/image editing. Photoshop, Vegas, AE, C4D, Max, anything. Why are we even arguing about this, this video isn't about compositing anyway. I don't care if you don't agree with me, I can compare anything I want.

  • LOL by ur standards Microsoft word is a compositing program LOL ok compare what u want HAHAHA but if u wanna be take seriously learn what each program does and what its for...

Ok i leave you to ur compositing LOL The only compositing programs are AE, Nuke, Shake , Fusion, Flame , Inferno... thats sort... well good luck with ur projects.

  • Sure MS word could be used for compositing. Can you add elements to an image or video using it? Yes, you can apply an image as a background and put text on it. Same with paint. You're an idiot. I am taken seriously, obviously, and you should really look at some of my other videos before you say otherwise. I know what each program does, and I use each for it's intended purpose, I just know other things can be done in them.

  • Hey, can you make me an intro that I can use, the similar one just like you always do, short and original.. do you take requests? :D

  • I don't really have the ability to take requests. I'm not that great in After Effects, I just follow tutorials and learn what I can. You could make something like this, too. Just get After Effects and watch the tutorials at Video Copilot.

  • I've got After Effects, but I prefer Sony Vegas.. I guess I'm gonna do an intro once.. :D
