News is news. In this case, it was a negative story, but don't get me wrong, I report on positive happenings as well. This story simply had a tie to myself, so I felt I would do a story on it. I am reporting on the situation. I kind of run a news station. Yeah, it isn't really professional, but it is what I like to do. Yes, a video dedicated to them would be appropriate, but as a reporter, I have to report on the news. I do admit that I did say "umm" a lot, but it isn't like I have a teleprompter. I didn't rehearse or anything either. I do appreciate the feedback though. Thank you.
Your report lacks information..you say there is alot of information but you don't drill down to what it is. You repeat what you already disclosed. It's like writing a reprt for school. You need to stay on the subject and stop straying away from the point. All the facts have to support the subject...
I incorporated the main facts of the story. Please tell me the parts that I missed and I will add them in. And this report was made 2 days ago. Anyways, I started with the main idea of the story. Then I related it to my local area. That's what you do in journalism. For example, there was the Virginia Tech Shootings last April. The story in a local area would talk about the shootings, but it would localize it as well with a story on how safe a college in an area might be. That's what I did.
I couldn't imagine if I was to witness someone throwing a innocent child from a 80 foot bridge knowingly that they would drown and die. What did they do to deserve such a painful death. You might as well shoot them with a gun at least they would of die instantly rather then have them suffer. This past year every time you turn on the news its nothing positive..It's alays about a man killing his spouse...or man killing his gf...
My own opinion I believe its the falling of our economy...with our president who desires war in Iraq...Who doesn't care what's happening to the people in the United states.
I am from mobile and i went to the bridge today and i was sad seeing the flowers for the children on it. Well news down here is they found 2 children one yesterday and one today. I go to the water alot threw the weeks and i have to say it is weird seeing all the helicopters and boats looking for the children. but it is great that they are looking so hard.

I do respect the fact that the family has to mourn and go through their grieving process. I do not believe that this will impact them. You are subject to your opinion and I respect that as well.
shit i live rite next to the city of mobile (pascagoula) and they said the bodies are supposed to be floating toward the PA river...this is so disgusting bless the children...
Why not report on something less horrible. How about a report about something positive going on where you live?
