  • You are right!!

  • Great song. The world was a better place back when everything was in black and white.

  • sounds like Keith Carradine?

  • @mrshutter45 The song is sung by Jesse Goldberg who also wrote it. Thanks for your interest.

  • What a GREAT GREAT SONG :o)

  • What a sweet tribute, Herbunk! I was born long after this TV show, but I still LOVE watching Andy Griffith. I own five seasons on DVD.

  • this is so cute :)

  • I go back to mayberry almost every night via the dvd's It gets me away from all this ugliness thats in our society both on tv and out in everyday life. Im 50 now although I always was outside playing almost every single day I never really watched or looked at this show the way I do now. It's nice to live there at the touch of a button. Some people do drugs to get away from life I watch this show hello andy from ontario Canada

  • I love the song the guy who wrote this did a great job!!!!

  • i am 14 and i love this show i wish i lived when life was simple and you know everyone (even though i live in a small town and know everyone) and when you could just walk down to the fishin hole without worring about gettin kidnapped my grandpa watches this show and tells me how he used to go up town and get pop and a hand full of peanuts for like 5 cents and put them in his pop which i do

  • In response to THOMASGPII, The Andy Griffith Show has filmed in the 1960's and set in Mayberry, North Carolina (Mt Airy, NC). As many know there were virtually no African -Americans in the mountains of NC in the 1960s. Even today African -Americans only make up 4% of Surry county's population, as a comparison African -Americans in Mitchell county, NC only account for 0.2% of the population. The show was simply depicting the area and the culture of Southern Appalachia.

  • @wayneboone

don't call em that man that's political correctness. call them black or just americans or colored, but not african americans!!!

  • One of the most soothing songs I have ever heard; just like the shows.....never get tired of nor miss them..........

  • Notice no minorities?

  • @THOMASGPII and no jerks like you either !!!!!!!

  • @THOMASGPII Yeah. That's why the crime rate in Mayberry is so low.

  • Awesome song and you sang it very well. I bet it would make Charlene Darling cry.

  • I know, same here :D

  • Its a shame that TV land isnt showing TAGS (The Andy Griffith Show) every day like they used to. I love to watch TAGS, and I wasnt even around back then!!!

TV land is putting too much junk on their channel now, and getting rid of the classics.

  • @stickdog100 They show the Andy Griffith show on TV land most everyday. I know some local TV stations in NC & VA show it everyday. :)

  • you all talk about the good old days before so much technology and fancy this and that but dont forget, WE are the ones who bought into it all and changed small town america to what it is today.

  • very well done thanks for posting.

  • Must just be me today, but this brought on the tears big time. Oh, how I loved this show and everyone in it. Thank you for a wonderful, heart-warming video to keep for a long, long time.

  • WOW well done... I look forward to watching 2-3 episodes a night I never get sick of it. It takes you back to a time where things were laid back honest and a hand shake was all you needed to do buisness and make friends I am a Canadain but I live in mayberry almost nightly and Im off to do it again song well done well done into the favorites you go

  • Citizens arrest !!!! Citizens arrest !!!!

  • Labor of love...well done!!

  • I mocked my grandparents' values back then. Boy, was I misguided.

  • People weren't always so mean-spirited and self centered. There was a time when we didn't have to lock our doors at night and the gas station and the corner store were locally owned. Women stayed at home with the children and were proud to be "mom". People knew their neighbors by name. Andy Griffith's TV shows depicted people in a fictional town yet came very close to showing us how things once were. Those of us who are old enough to remember, appreciate Mayberry RFD. Thanks for your interest.

  • so true ;-)

  • I remember as a kid we could go out trick or treating and not have to worry about people putting strange things in apples and candy I used to get up in the morning with friends and be gone all day just be back in time for lunch or dinner

  • @Etonitazene Wow, why would you make such a rude comment like that? Were you having a bad day or what? I was taught (yes, like a Mayberry golden rule) that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. So I hope something very wonderful happens for you today.

  • This is how the country was before the illegal invasion

  • Mission Accomplished! Thanx.

  • I lived in a town like this as a kid... we never locked our doors and left our keys in the ignition even over night ! Those were the days *sigh*.

  • Mr. Goldberg and Mr. Flowerree, thank you for creating this wonderful video. These are times that I remember well, when they were first aired on t.v., before there reruns. I am always telling my two boys they might be going to heaven someday but when I die I am going to Mayberry, because thats my idea of heaven. Yours truly, B. Kennedy

  • very NICE!~!

  • lol thats cool

  • I love watching this show on TV Land now and I watched it as a teenager in the 60s. It covers a more innocent and better time in history - thanks for creating the video and coupling it with that great song!

  • Wonderful time in America. BACK THEN

  • Nice song. Great show. They'll never make them like that anymore.

  • It's all in Black and White

It's all right in black and white

  • Anyone know who sang this?

  • As it says in "About this Video" and at the end of the video it was written by Jesse Goldberg and Bikk Flowerree and sung by Jesse Goldberg. Thanks for your interest.

  • Ok,thanks.I did'nt catch it at the end. That's one of my favorite old T.V. shows.Good family entertainment. :)

  • Killer song!! Gee, wish we really could go back there.

  • GEORGE LINDSEY WAS HOTTTTT!

  • Truer words were never spoken. I just hope with all my heart that when It's my turn to leave this life I will be taken back to paradise. Back to Mayberry...My home town.
