Traci is playing a Hendrix kinda vibe with lots of unision bends ,the neck pickup,tone down and wah thing,kinda lazy sounding solo compared to shenkers pentonic stuff. I love hendrix's guitar playing but it really doesnt help your hard rock or metal chops.

I apologize then for the "you don't play" portion of my comment. All respect. They are both favorites for me, but I see too many great guitarists to name/know. This isn't about puddin, or even amature public opinion (wich seems about even). It's about 1 guitarist staying in his safe, well rehearsed and (for some) overplayed zone. While another pushes his sound, boundries, and is constantly expanding his bag of tricks/phrases.

Yea I saw Schenker's leads. Mostly minor pentatonic, and natural minor scales. Big deal whaa.... Traci's are more ecclectic. Subjective I'm sure! But Anyway ... I didn't realize that the leads in this cool song were all the total accumulation of both thier careers. If you knew UFO AND LA GUNS, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP ETC..Then we might agree. Traci could lay down MANY more leads than M,S, B4 they started sounding the same! Traci has more in his gigbag. But I will Agree 2 enjoy them both

Because I've heard the tone that Guns is getting from a lot of different guys on a lot of different records. It's a nice Stratty sound but not uncommon. I've not heard anybody else get a tone like Schenker's. As far as I'm concerned, MS is the Gold Standard for great tone. No disrespect to anyone else, there are plenty of great tones out there but MS is the top one for my ears.

Schenker-tone, taste, and technique wrapped up in one extraordinarily melodic package. He's one of the VERY few guitarists that can hit me both on a cerebral and emotional level. His soloing on this reminds me a bit of his approach on "Feels Like a Good Thing" from his first MSG release. Beyond stellar.
