Amazing work! This pay what you like thing is revolutionary. Srsly, I download games almost as soon as they come out for free, and I would not dare to do that with this game. In fact I won't probably get to play this gave because I'm out of work now for 3 years and honestly don't have any money. Its like the "pay what you want" shames me into being honest. I will buy this game when and if I can donate at least 5 bucks, but not before. Thanks for setting an example we can all follow.

@bnewton81 It's interesting how Pay What You Want adds this strange element of shame to the mix! :) To me the price someone pays should be based both on how much the game is worth, and on how much someone can afford. So if you really don't have any money, then paying just $1 is actually not being cheap and also not something to be shamed by, in my opinion.

If nothing else this is an honor system and I would like to see more of it in the future. There will always be those that take advantage, but I think they are in the minority. Despite what our news would have us believe of our fellow man.

@JSmellerM It's not DRM, it's a bug. Proun doesn't contain any DRM at all. There is a patch on the Proun forum that fixes it. Icannot link to it in Youtube comments, but you can find the temporary Proun website in the video description.

Works on Linux with Wine. Had to use windowed mode because it crashed otherwise, maybe because of my dualmonitor setup. Anyway, runs perfectly so far.

Just wanted to comment that this game has great potential. The music was pretty abysmal in my opinion, but I could see what it was going for. @Scyths1 I'm afraid the webshop system I use always requires personal information. I asked them to remove that for the free version, but it is their standard policy not to. I totally agree with you that it shouldn't be necessary, which is why I also added a Torrent to the website. You can use that if you want to get the free version without filling in your information.

Mr. Van Dongen, I've just tried Proun for the first time and wow. Really so good, it's hard to describe. You will get far with this... I bet on that. Your payment scheme is also the future! Although it just crashed after a championship race. I don't know what happened...

And yes, after installing on a clean install of Windows 7 it froze when trying to connect to the highscore server the first time, then again when checking the servers after the race (again after the second time I installed).

@Twinkiest It works really well on most laptops, but there are some really old Intel cards (more than 5 years old) that won't run Proun. I recommend just trying the free version when it launches. If it works, you could choose to pay something afterwards. :)
