  • He's like ".. are we done now?" such a gorgeous dog, that little girl is going to grow up with the best friend ever.

  • THAT IT NOT A DOG...THAT IS THE THING!!!!!!!!!!

  • We had a Malamute called Ben. He was the most gentle dog; a true gentle giant. We all really miss him. He was such a part of the family. My kids used to dress him up and lie against him. It never bothered him.

  • baby proofe dog haha .

  • My mom says our Malamute Kiska was motherly nurturing like that too when I was a baby. Mom wasn't sure how she was going to react when she brought me home, but the story goes she'd go get my mom or my grandma when she heard me crying. I don't remember Kiska very well because she died when I was in grade school, but the few memories that I do have are good ones. :)

  • I remember my grandpa talking about when my dad was a baby. They were southern farmers, and if Granny had to go outside she'd tell her Malamute to watch the baby (my dad). They said one day he toddled out of the house with the dog trailing him. He started to go over by a thorn bush and before Granny could even get over to stop him the Malamute just snatched him up by the shirt and brought him to her xD

  • @YunlimiT Wth? How can you hope something as gruesome as that!

  • @YunlimiT idiot!

  • My neck hurts from watching this video at an angle...

  • Adorable, I have a female Malamute, Dea, she adores kids, and I can't wait to have a baby of my own, and I know Dea will be a best babysitter ever. And many people don't know that dogs mouth are sterile and ours are not :D

  • excuse me but that dog growled at the baby in the first minute of less. you do not find that something to be worried about? the rule of reason is that you do not leave your sweet, defenseless baby alone with any animal.

  • @evastaitz There's a difference between a real threatening growl, and a low rumble. It's nothing to be worried about. Obviously you don't know much about dogs, do you?

  • @evastaitz

Obviously you don´t know shit about dogs and much less this specific breed. That was a playful growl not a malicious one. Typical over cautious parents nowadays.

  • @Beatwolf Sounded more like a groan to me

  • @evastaitz Are you serious? You're a moron.

  • We have 2 malamutes. Doom, 17 week old, and Sasha, 1 and a half year old. She's Dooms mother, and is very instinctively maternal. When my aunty brings my baby cousin up who is no more than 6 month old, I often leave him on the floor under Sasha's protection and my supervision. Doom treats him as a sibling, though acts very nuturingly towards him. It's just amazing how well these dogs adapt to children, and are definately the best family pet I could hope for. Love them.

  • sorry i dont really know about dog breeds but are malamutes huskies?

  • @BEANIEINAEB They're a different breed, they look similar but malamutes tend to be bigger and they are stronger pullers than huskies.

  • @BEANIEINAEB Malamutes get a but bigger than huskies and usually have longer coats

  • baby is sooo beautiful!!! so is the dog hehe

  • I have heard that the alskan malmute dogs were used by the innuit & eskimo tribes to look after the babies while the women went out to hunt or fish hence this dog has this inbred tendency to be gentle around babies and small children the only problem may occur is when other dogs are in the vicinity were they have an urge to show who is boss which leads to fighting

  • i love people that comment and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. do some research on breeds.

  • @2:17 dog farts in baby's face lol.

  • Ну и о чём видео? Собака просто равнодушна к ребёнку, сядет на него и не заметит.

  • XD Well trained babies should know the difference between a Malamute and another bit of carpet. They're adorable.

  • The dog want a turn to be the baby

  • she was giving breastmilk :)

  • Malamutes were made this way..Tribes use to let their malamutes look after their kids while they went off hunting or doing whatever.Just because it's the 21st century and hardly anyone knows how to train a dog or treat one right, that's the dogs that hurt people. It's always the owners fault, never blame the breed.Just because 1 dog has hurt somebody doesn't mean the whole breed is dangerous.I've never heard anything about a malamute hurting anyone.

  • @xxtasha10xx Are you out of your mind???? Owners fault?? You are so stupid. I had and alaskan malamute that was treated like one of the family. He is now dead because we had to shoot him to save my husbands life. We raised this malamute from a pup and never mistreated him. Was taking him for a walk when he decided to turn on his owner for NO REASON what so ever. If I hadn't been home because this happened in our own back yard. He would of killed my husband. You need educated BAD.

  • i have an alaskan malamute too and trust me they may look like their dangerous but really they arent. they are extremely vocal so growling isnt really them saying their pissed. and trust me if that dog didnt want the baby there it wouldnt be there, mallys arent too keen on doing things they dont want to do.

  • lol I almost thought the dog was gonna fart at 3:18

  • hahah this is what my alaskan mallie would do koda!! she loves cuddles!! watch my video!! thanks

  • your very stupid even if the dog just barely bit her it could kill her!

  • @joshacio Do you have dogs?? Ever had a dog??

  • @BobbyKM you dummy i have a MALAMUTE! CHECK MY VIDS!!!!!

  • Cute

  • try doing this with a cat

    dogs rule!

  • i dont care where they train them as police dogs. you can train any dog from any union to be a police dog. it is the training that makes the difference not the breed.

  • 4:09 whoaaaa there

  • The parents are idiots. At the beginning of the video the dog clearly isnt enjoying what the baby does. Just a snatch and half of the babys face is gone. I love dogs, and dogs can get by very well with children, but this dog wasnt too far from biting the kid.

  • Comment removed

  • @86decibel86 come on !!!!!!!!!!! no away it could have had harmed the baby . its enjoying actually

  • They are used for police dogs in the UK as they can be very nasty, you should have more sense than to put a baby near a dog - it will rip the baby's face off as soon as you leave that room.

  • @urbex2007 erm acutally over here in the uk they use german shepherds as police dogs not alaskan malamutes, i've never seen an malamute as a police dog and i worked with police dogs for short time, and any dog can be trained to attack, doesnt mean there nasty, that dog wouldnt have attacked the baby, if it was it wouldnt have waited tell they left the room, i suggest you get your facts straight before you comment such things

  • I think you can go to jail for that in California.

  • wtf r u doing with ur baby! learn how to be a mom stop rubbing it against big ass wolfs n shit

  • @arudiv LOL dude that's fucking hilarious

  • You have to be careful........... that growl sounded like a jealous type of growl.... make sure that you still give the dog the attention you gave it before the baby was born, or it might snap at the baby one day if all attention is given to the baby only..... just be careful.

  • why is it growling? o_o

i believe that well bred & raised malamutes are really good with babies? o.o

  • @finlant the growl was warning both to stop it. If she left the room the baby would be attacked and killed because the dog is jealous of the sudden new arrival and the owner putting the dog second. I wouldn't leave that dog with anyone other than adults, it's not a very nice dog.

  • @urbex2007 what you say here is ridiculous. so what if the dogs are trained as police dogs. they are TRAINED not bread. police training for dogs. Schutzhund training (German for protection dog) begins as soon as they are weened from their mothers. it is all training. you can train any dog including a malamute to attack. But you disregard the difference between what is learned and what is inborn. go educate yourself on conditioning and animal psychology.

  • @urbex2007

    naaw :(

  • @urbex2007

Apparently you never have Mally in your life since you post such things.

We do have malamute in our family and two of my sister's kids BUT in first case (older boy) we made mistake to actually chase our malamute off the kid and as future shows that was BIG mistake because she start to treat him as her rival (she growls on him whenever he was near her) however in time when he get older she stopped to be hostile toward him but in case of second baby we let her always be near him

  • @Qusza2007 cd...

and suprise, surprise... he could do with her almost whatever he want because she known him from very todler days and she treat him almost as her own "baby".

Sadly she passes away two years ago in age 13 from cancer complications.

Yes mallys can be outstanding babysitters and i really don't wish anyone who would try to get near that kid who would be complete stranger for that mally and no baby parents in sigth to meet with seriously angry malamute who will be on "guard duty".

  • Malamutes have been bread for thousand of years to hunt, pull sleds, guard and babysit. my malamute innately knows to get up and go find the kids every hour. no one trained him to do it. he does it on his own because it is instinctive behavior for the bread. and while any dog is trainable and some other breads may share that characteristic I am unaware of any.

  • @DaveHorecker they are bread in the UK as police dogs! So there is a nasty side to them.

  • it's cute and i love big dogs, only thing i would say is i personally wouldn't have had the baby that close to the dog bottom, because of certain things that can cause blindness, but other wise great temprament dog, and even cuter baby.

  • by nature they kinda gaurd the young

  • @mudvayneWoo by nature they track, chase and bite criminals, but also savage people in the UK as they are used for police dogs in preference to alsations.

  • Riktigt fin hund där, hoppas att ja själv har turen och tingar en Svartvit Malamute som är leveransklar i mitten av mars.

  • ummm, he just growled, you better stop ://

  • Your dog an push or pull the baby carriage =P

  • your baby's head smells like butt now.

  • awwwwwwww

  • i dident contradict myself if you read my post closely quite right never leave any dog unsupervised with young people (remember the 2 rotwilelers last year ) oh yes my non petting dogs are my 45kgs young highly strung working ones .they will jump up in exitement and hurt some body .my best petting dogs are my rehome ones as i think they just crave the love that they never had .note taking some of the pack to local hospital childrens ward chrismas day will be fun

  • @clintonsturm

You totally contradict yourself in your post. first you say you agree with scuba i.e malamutes are safe with kids(of which they are, but they must be supervised because a child cannot tell when a dog doesnt like something and warns the child) And then you say that some of your dogs shouldnt be near kids? Why is that?

  • i agree with scuba36 12 yrs and 10 working malamutes 2 akitas and 1 karafoto ken i take some of my pack to schools for petting visits and some i would'nt let any where near children .never do we want malamutes to get a bad name like the akitas did a few years ago due to bad owners (note some dogs are just plain evil like humans)

  • собака рычит на ребенка?! может, тогда не стоит хотя бы подсовывать его под нос собаке. кстати, говоря о подсовывании: интересный ход - малыш под собачьей задницей.

    простите, но, это странно....

  • Would not be doing that with my 16 month old son, i have 2 mals and even though they are gentle, they are very powerful. One mistake is all that it takes with any dog. Lovely dog though. He is growling at her also, not talking, as you know yourself because you had to calm the dog down.

  • @torrne666 The mal isn't growing. Dogs tend to grumble when they are being petted or when they stretch just as humans snore and yelp when they stretch.

  • @torrne666 Malamutes is not "ANY" if you have them you must know. I have Malamutes all my life...it's very safe to live a child with this breed.

  • @scuba36fun- sorry but your reply makes no sense at all. If you are implying that every malamute will be loving and gentle then you are a fucking idiot. There are always exceptions to the rule. A strong pack mentality and a huge prey drive rule this breeds genes. I Have had mals and sibes for 15 years now,(we also race them in competitions) just so you know that it is not my first experience. It takes a second for a mal to get pissed of and cause damage. I'm just saying please be careful. END OF

  • @torrne666 I agree, watch the direction of the tail wagging in the video, around his owner the mals tail wagged right to indicate the right half of the brain showing hes happy, relaxed, secure, and comfortable. When with the baby and close to the baby his tail wagged to the left, this means mistrust, hes uncomfortable, hes not happy. Note the direction change from the baby to his owner. Watching this made me uncomfortable, I just hope they realize this. I am a husky and malamute owner also.

  • Humm, I wonder if the dog knows that the tiny baby will one day turn into a big human ^^

  • that's fantastic. Mal's are such amazing dogs.

  • That's a beautiful dog!

  • did the kid pull out some hair from the dog?

  • Mals are great with kids. Mine is our kids' babysitter too.

  • at 0:55 through 0:59 its growling

  • @naveen19902002 Alaskan Malamutes 'talk'. to the layman it may sound like growling but it is actually harmless and affectionate communication. Look up videos of talking Malamutes.

  • I"m Sure in my heart that the dog is great but having to see this i feel like this is one of those invitation for reluctant mistakes to happens.

  • sleeping on the job!

  • your dogs butt shouldn't be so close to her face. unless you clean his butt every time he goes. Parasites, infection, ETC......Dogs are not humans.....Then people wonder why their kids get sick.

  • @madtairam Dogs are some of the cleanest animals in the world, tied with Cats. I have been near various animals and have had them stick their butt in my face xD I have yet to get sick even one. The only chance they could get any of that is if the Dog was very sick as-well.

  • @madtairam Actually kids who are exposed to dirt, mud ect at a young age usually develop stronger immune systems as compared to kids that are always cleaned and disinfected. Getting sick is a part of growing up for any child. Not saying you should shove your kid in dirt but being overzealous could hurt.

  • im sorry but even if he was well breed i dont think u should trust a dog with a very young baby like that it makes me sick, one day u never know ur dog could get annoyed with it someday who knows

  • @badboymorris:How's it so sick? They aren't leaving the baby completely alone w/ the dog. As long as the owners know the dog's personality & are there in the same room supervising, there shouldn't be any prob. The owner's would know if the dog is safe or not b/c if they raised the dog from when it was a pup, they'd know if the dog is aggressive & wouldn't let the baby get close. Its like if the baby were around a sibling. Would u keep the sibling away? The sibling could get annoyed w/ baby...

  • cool dog...

  • beautiful baby and beautiful dog as well ! love the video !

  • how big is your dog?

  • I don' t wish anybody whit bad intentions to meet Choucas and Melissa together ^^.

I have myself Malamute and i saw by my own eyes her treatment of two my sister kids.

When older kid comes to our house our Malamute was practicly cut off from any contact whit him in the beginning and from that time she treat him whit very huge reservation.

When he try to come near her she growl at him and show that she don't accept him.

In case of younger kid, he was allowed to have full contact whit her

  • why did ur parents feed you to a dog?

  • My girlfriend and I have a 2 yr old daughter and our malamute, Diesel, helps us so much with her. These are VERY intellegent dogs. BEWARE: These dogs are very cative and do not grow out of it. Don't pick one up just cuz they look fun. They're high maintinence and need a lot of attention and positive reinforcement and discipline.

  • do they shed alot inside

  • @kissmiasski813 What? Babies or Mamalutes? :p

  • A well Bred Malamute is very careful and tender around children, as the Malamute tribe from which they get their name bred them for generations to look after their own children as well as pull their sleds and hunt.

  • @Irontiki nice info ty

  • Most malamutes are very intelligent, and dogs can be very perceptive. Mine knows the difference between a small child on the floor and something she can play with, and I believe, knows to be careful. I'm not saying leaving your kids alone on the floor with a dog is a good idea, but these parents were supervising and watching the entire time.

  • To Clokarnage: Okay, you fucking moron. He growls so he's automatically pissed? Shows how much you know about dogs. I hate how they can't use their voice without uneducated people like you saying "OH MAH GAWD DEY'S GROWLIN U DUMBASS THEY IS MAD."

  • this is so cute haha

  • i miss so much my alaskan malamute he died :( but now i have a samoyed =)

  • Terrifically cute! Ours plays well with small children and Babies to date, I've never seen him do anything that would make me scared, and he's over seven years old....

  • Oh yeah. And the dog even starts GROWLING. dumbass's

  • Just as a thought - not a typical youtube lets argue about it type comment - I own and work alaskan malamutes and the way they vocalise is very different to other dogs. What can sound agressive to thsoe who don't know the breed is often a misinterpretation. For example, the growl you hear is very similar to the noise one of my older girls makes which is more of a curious "what are you doing?" than a warning-aggressive sound. Just to offer some clarification.

  • Right you are...We have one too, and he's just terrific....he growls a lot too, when he wants food or just attention or a treat. They do in fact use growling different....

  • that isnt 'growling'. is communicating. Alannajohan knows what she/he is talkin' about. When malamutes "talk", it is most often misinterpreted as aggressiveness. Only owners of these dogs would understand the breed. And how would I know? I have a wolf hybrid

  • ignorant hillbilly

  • Im sorry right but as much as that dog is amazing n shit. THAT BABY SHOULD NOT BE LEFT ON THE FLOOR BEHIND IT. that dog could of stepped back at any point n stood on that kids face. then its like INCHES away from the dogs arse!!

    Great parenting (Y) lol

  • You're a moron. Well raised dogs of any breed know the difference between a baby and another bit of carpet. God, why is there always an ignorant hick on a video of an animal compaining about something!?

  • @riversrushing i agree with you, its the dogs that are abused or hurt over a long period of time that turn because enoughs enough clearly this dog is brillant! i was 2 when we got our dog Tikka n she was 2 as well she let me climb all over her dress her up and we used to hide in the washing basket together :) people need to understand that these parents wouldnt do this if the dog wasnt good with babies or was dangerous.

  • Actually, Malamutes WERE used as baby sitters in their region of origin. They were well-trained, and very protective over their master's children.

  • naw så søt de er.

  • Fan vad söta de är! xD

  • lol at grawl...

  • It's great that you are introducing your dog to your kid as part of the family still. It's so sad when a new lovely baby is born and the poor dog gets forgotten. They are both beautiful! Xx

  • aww... I wish mine was so gentle. My Mika is very sensitive about her belly and puts up a fit if anything or anyone gets near it.

  • no its not. i guess you live up to your name eh?

  • Wow, your video is very nice! Alessia
