  • wow! amazing! by the way, just want to ask whether if you like 80's to 90's road bicycle. Because i just into cycling around 2 months ago and having a trouble restoring my bicycle :(

  • @Ryoichiwatanabe Hi there. Glad you enjoyed the video. Also happy to hear you are into cycling it is ecological. economical and good exercise. Unfortunately, my specialty is rod brake bicycles from the 1950's and I'm not familiar with 90's bicycles. But plenty of people out there with the same interest that are able to share information. Happy wheels!

  • bravo

  • @AndrewMay100 Yes, bravo to the hard working industrious people that built these wonderful machines and rebuilt Japan.

  • What do you guys think is the golden age of bicycles in various countries? USA, Germany,Japan, UK...which brands were the the best of that time?

  • @Microglia1 For Japan ,early to mid 1950s. Nichibei Fuji, Yamaguchi, Mayam, Miyata, and many more. UK around 1920's(?) Sunbeam, Ralleigh (?) Germany I'm not well enough informed to have an opinion. Interesting question.

  • @showajitensha I have a few Japanese Bikes from the 70/80s...esp. with Suntour Superbe componets. Japan and Italy make a lot of "race" bikes but I think mainly England and France, and to a lesser extent Japan, make these classic bikes for professionals going to work. People bike a lot in metropolitan Paris. I think the Dutch also make a lot of these classic bikes but they don't export much so I haven't seen many in person.

  • @showajitensha hey i goto a question, wat about a iverson? i got an iverson 27 inch road bike and it has the seal and everything that it is made io njapan

  • Hi thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately, decals (stickers) like these are not sold anywhere, at least to the best of my knowledge anyway. The stickers (decals) in the video are all original. Good luck with your MERKUR restoration.

  • amazing bike, very good gob...i have a vintage bike too "MERKUR" and i have a question.where i can found stickers like this. i like it

  • Hi Nick. Part of the process is to select the right project. One that has original paint. The paint on these can usually be brought back to life by purchasing a sample compound kit at your local automotive store. The chrome cleans up will using steel wool of various grades. I thrilled to know that there are other people out there that appreciate classic bicycles. UK is home of Sunbeam, Raleigh, Sturmey Archer, etc. I've seen some fine projects on Ebay. If I only lived in the UK!

  • I would love to own a japanese Bicycle. :o) their just as beautiful as our own english bicycles. I have a raleigh Tourist that I am restoring, But over in the U.K it is not cheap to restore them how do you go about getting them so beautiful?

    best Wishes

    Nick
