I wonder if Yorkies would be good at cricket - LOL!
NB for those not in the UK. Yorkshire has a very famous cricket team where pregenant mothers would travel for hours to get back to the county so their sons could play for the team.
Very true my yorkie sometimes snaps at my younger sister, even more if she comes near me i think yorkies are just over all DIVAS <3 haha they are very moody! but my lil guy is the best!
When they say you shouldn't leave the dog alone, what do they mean? I mean, if you have a relatively normal (8am-5pm) work schedule, would that be a problem?

I have always had big dogs now i have a Tea Cup Yorkie 4 1/2 pounds and i get it why people loves these dogs. he is on my lap right now. Iam hooked i love my little Max. I sound like a women don't i. but iam not. .
@jmillz I'm a guy and I got a yorkie puppy. No joke, biggest chick magnet on the planet. And they're small, easy to train and really loyal. They just look like girl dogs because people are always putting bows and shit on them, if you put a badass collar on him and keep his hair short they can be pretty manly looking

Yorkie (& other small dog) owners are generally very annoying. They get the dog just because its "cute" and they can dress it up and carry it around, but not actually pay attention to its needs. They let it do whatever it wants without any discipline.
In brasil theres a crime that a nurse killed one of this little dogs in front of his daughter, you can see the video here (care strong scenes) watch?v=Z-AkerkZEH4. I cant imagine how can someone kill this adorables animals and this person probably wont be punished. Sorry to post this bad news, but I had to share it with the world. =(

Well yorkies aren't dumb they sometimes get distracted or ether they don't wanna get trained at a monent, My Yorkie is 3 and she is 2lbs . I train my Yorkie by grabbing one of her pink blankets and telling her the command when she does do it right I give her wheat pretzels , when she doesn't I tell her " No no no daisy!" I have a 7 month old Yorkie named Munchie. I love him dearly but he is dumb as rocks. We have tried repeatedly to train him to no avail. I will never adopt another one. I want a smart dog.
@Nasus81 Not all yorkies are dumb, take for example my aunt's yorkie, she learns very fast and listens afterwards, maybe you should try a different learning style, or you're dog gets distracted by something(attention gets drwan away)

I have a 6 mo. old yorkie/maltese mix. The mix is genius. Double the cuddliness, cuteness, and the awesome.. Both breeds are incredibly clingy, though, so being a college student who has class six-seven hour classes five days a week makes it rough occasionally. She's a great dog and I love her more than anything, but if you're gone a lot, be wary when choosing a yorkie/maltese. Definitely invest in training classes to help fix the seperation anxiety. Your dug up carpet will thank you... lol
I wanted one of these so bad, my dad took me to the puppy corral about three years back and said that we were not getting a dog, but there was some dogs on sale so he told me they were going to be just like the Yorkishire T.......LIAR! My dogs are huge! He always tells me that i'm the one who wanted the dog so bad! That's only because he told me it was just like one..........:( but i love my dogs anyway, except that I cannot dress them up, i cannot hold them,they squish me if they sit in my lap.
i just got one and he always wants to be by my side....everytime i pretend to cry he always rushes over and licks me hehe he is such a sweetheart and he always makes me smile i def reccommend this doggy :)
I have 3 Yorkies. Mocha (Girl) MiMi (Girl) and BeBe (Boy) I love them all and they all smile with their teeth! They're actually great with kids if you train them well. I've had them since I was around 4! And I'm 10 now. BeBe and MiMi are turning 8 years old this year. Mocha is turning 7 years old this year!
i have 1 yorkie and 2 silky terriers. a yorkie is one of the smartest little dogs and its true that they will bite you but my sikys have never bitten even in extreme pain (broken nails, during shots) but they are bad if you have allergies so be careful because as puppies yorkies and silky look identical and only start to look different as they are so make sure where ever you get them from knows the difference

@superswifty21 i got a yorkie when i was 11. Im 12 now nd love my yorkie Jelly to bits! They can be very hypo and takes alot of care from their teeth to their fur to their diet. They are soo playful but are very fragile. My dog loves to be cuddled but hates to be groomed. Also they are very smart dogs and pick up on things quickly. I hope you enjoy your yorkie if u get one nd i highly recomened one especially for showing :)

dude iv had a yorkie now for like 7 years hes still hyperactive and hes great with little children and he dont even need a harness cuz hes just walks around with us but if anything i do use a lead and coller :)

@HeartButerfly no not really i have a 4 year old brother and she's not even that aggressive with him but she does love to bite fingers because that just normal puppy play . you just have to watch the dog around kids because you dont want them picking it up and dropping it on the floor and slapping it :)

my yorkie chloe gets along with kids so well! i wanted a yorkie for 6 years and i finally got one! my chloe doesnt even go near a bigger dog. but if the dog goes near our drive,she starts to toughen up! there the best breed in the world! i love them!
My yorkie Cookie is amazing. She is great with kids any age loves to play. She does go out and kill/eat birds and mice though. And she is very territorial of her create and my room and me. But she is so cute and lovable.

@superswifty21 i got a yorkie when i was 11. Im 12 now nd love my yorkie Jelly to bits! They can be very hypo and takes alot of care from their teeth to their fur to their diet. They are soo playful but are very fragile. My dog loves to be cuddled but hates to be groomed. Also they are very smart dogs and pick up on things quickly. I hope you enjoy your yorkie if u get one nd i highly recomened one especially for showing :)

dude iv had a yorkie now for like 7 years hes still hyperactive and hes great with little children and he dont even need a harness cuz hes just walks around with us but if anything i do use a lead and coller :)

@GingerGal23456 They are really not that expensive ! to be honest with you i only paid 250 for my yorkie and she's a girl and full blooded and healthy :) you just have to find the right breeder! don't got to a pet shop

@HeartButerfly no not really i have a 4 year old brother and she's not even that aggressive with him but she does love to bite fingers because that just normal puppy play . you just have to watch the dog around kids because you dont want them picking it up and dropping it on the floor and slapping it :)

my yorkie chloe gets along with kids so well! i wanted a yorkie for 6 years and i finally got one! my chloe doesnt even go near a bigger dog. but if the dog goes near our drive,she starts to toughen up! there the best breed in the world! i love them!

My yorkie Cookie is amazing. She is great with kids any age loves to play. She does go out and kill/eat birds and mice though. And she is very territorial of her create and my room and me. But she is so cute and lovable.
